I'm looking forward to buy an Xperia Mini Pro. And I heard that there is an Electrostatic NOISE coming out from that phone. Is it true? If so what is the manufactured date rage which has the fault? can it be 100% solved with the software upgrade ?
View 1 RepliesI had Gingerbread 4.0.2.A.0.62 and no electrostatic noise in video capture (voice recorder programs had noise but not the video capture programs). Yesterday I upgraded to ICS and now it makes this cicada noise when recording video in QVGA and VGA modes but not in 720p and FWVGA and the video consumes alot of MB very fast.

When I keep my phone in hand signal vary all the time and very often i can see that i have no access to my network, it happens also in big city. The other problem is electrostatic noise which was mentioned several times. I'm afraid service will do nothing so I wanted to ask what should I do to get my phone fixed (I read a lot of people had to sent their phone several times and wait 2 weeks every time until it was fine).

When I recieve a text from one of my contacts the number that is displayed is a combination of two numbers from my contacts. It doesn't come up with their names, just their phone numbers seperated by a semicolon. Then when I reply to the message it will go to the first number of the two and not to the person who sent the message in the first place. I believe that this happened when I sent a text message a little while ago with both of these contacts as recipients, however I now cannot seperate these 2 contacts. I have tried deleting all the texts and contacts, however as soon as I get a new text from this contact it shows as both numbers again. The only way I can reply to this contact is to remember to start a new message, otherwise it will go to the wrong person. I have searched on the internet and found a few other people with is issue on an xperia phone

The Notification menu which comes down from the top keeps coming down all the time. When I am texting, viewing pictures, browsing my phonebook etc., and it stops me from using the phone how I want to use the phone. no matter where i touch on the screen it pops up. I have done the following with no avail:

(this problem happened before and still continues after upgrade)I have turned the phone on and off countless times.I have locked the phone and unlocked it numerous times hoping it will go away...it doesn't. The phone has not been dropped or damaged in anyway - it is only 2 months old.
I just received my new storm 2 after replacing the first because the screen wouldn't click in the corner. I made sure I got one with a march 5th branding so I had the updated screen. Earlier today the send, Menu, Return, and End keys plus the screen right next to the started this "TINKing" noise. The other side still "clicks".
View 9 Replies View RelatedSo the other day I switched over from an iPhone 4, my gf bought the HTC One X after I recommended it to her since shes not an Apple person and after playing around with it my self I decided to also switch. So far I'm loving the phone but a couple of things that are bothering me are this;How is it that you cannot send DECENT quality videos?! On the iPhone I was able to send high quality minute long videos with no problem. I took a 15 second video in lower resolution and pixel rate and EVERY TIME it would say the file is too large.Next, group messaging.. iPhone did this no problem. Me and 3 other people could send messages back and forth like we were in a chat room, HTC? Nope, sends them individually to each person. I heard some recommendation of apps that do this but they make you sign up for some lame account where my name is displayed instead of my phone number or name listed in THEIR contact list.
Lastly, is there a way to change the keyboard other than the tilt way to make the space bar button bigger? I'm always hitting the period button after every wordAre there any ways to get around these little inconveniences? I'd appreciate any recommendations or suggestions cause I'd hate to have to go back to the ATT store and upgrade to the iPhone 4S.Edit: Another issue.. noticed while in camera mode, taking pictures theres a constant clicking noise coming from the phone. I wonder why is it that I can't receive files from other devices thru bluetooth,though I already updated it to 2.1 and my bluetooth is already switched on. What should I do? Is it really like that? It was kinda weird because even after turning the phone off it was still doing it. I decided to take the battery out and put it back in and see if it was going to still do it. After doing that, it didn't do it no more but im still wondering what it was that caused it. When i was messing with the phone before it started doing it i was playing music and then stopped it. The battery was on half. Could someone please tell me what caused this. I just got the phone from sprint and i really don't want to take it back.
View 7 Replies View RelatedPhone was on desk minding it own business I turned on my Bluetooth speakers bose. And the phone made a horrible sound via its speaker phone speaker. Load static for no reason. I went to the radio tuner as it sound like radio static and sure enough as it was searching the static changed.
So why would turning on my BT speakers cause the radio to turn on with static without head phones and be super loud on the phone speakers. The only way I could stop the sound was to power the phone off.
I already updated my phone twice, from 1.6 to 2.1 and to the latest one, which i forgot what version (the one with officesuitde).. The first update was ok, but the latest brought back the apps I already unistalled-those apps that were already in my phone when I bought it. I got rid of them because they're TRIAL versions only and theyre just eating up the LITTLE SPACE (128mb) of my internal memory.So this is what happens, every time my phone turns off due to empty bat, or when I turn it off manually, then turn it on again, those APPS were once again installed in my phone! So I will have to uninstall it (again!) to free some of my internal memory. But, expect that it will happen again the next time How could I stop this from happening again? I'm sick and tired of doing the same thing over and over.. And I find it necessary to really drain my bat to 0% so I can maximizae my battery's life span, but when i turn on my phone?

But when I try to connect it to Philips Fidelio E5 I only get static noise.Can it be the APTX? Is there a way to turn that off?The Philips Fidelio works perfect with many other devices. (tested 3 different devices successfully) Including Xperia Z tablet.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought my Z2 in September and after 3 weeks the right earbud of my noise cancelling headset provided with the phone stopped working 100% of the time. By moving the jack connection it would come and go. This did NOT happen with my third party earphones and when trying in the Three store I bought the device in, my suspect noise cancelling phones worked with the Z2 on display OK.
My phone was sent in first time in end of Sept/start of Oct and after I got it back the issue remained and the service log showed only a flashing of the software happened.
I then contacted Sony Xperia support again to complain and was told all I could do was return the phone AGAIN to check the QA process used.
This happened and I returned the phone again. I received the phone back today and the issue still persists! Again no hardware changes made.
When I plug in my noise cancelling earphones my tablet thinks a mic has been plugged in and earphones don't work.? I've been thru sound settings and can find nothing..

After I take a picture and press the 'Home' button to exit the application, it makes the noise, which sounds like there's something loose or something. Also, the slider part of the phone is loose at the bottom, so when I push the buttons I'm actually pushing the screen down onto the keyboard, which is annoying.

When I have my phone plugged into an audio jack cable and play music through an amplifier everything is fine until the music stops
playing; either because the album is over or the playlist is over and then I get a thumping electronic noise. It comes in spaces like dut dut dut dut dut dut.
It happens a few seconds after the phone has been inactive and the phone has gone standby, it stops when I unlock the screen or just activate the phone. Then If I wait until the phone goes inactive again I get the same noise.
As I was talking on my relatively new Bold 9700 it just completely died! The battery was charged but the screen and everything just went black. It will not power on. I have removed the battery and put it back in and the only response to that it the red LED light coming on for a few minutes then coming off.

Phone itself is about 6 months old. I also checked my wife's Z3C and, while being about two months older, it's power button is still clicking like mine was before.
