Xperia Z5 :: Screen Coming Back On After Pressing Power Button To Lock
Jul 3, 2010This morning the screen of my Z5 Compact starting coming back on after I press the Power Button to turn it off. It seems to be triggered by movement: If I'm holding the phone after pressing the PB, the screen comes back on immediately when my hand moves. If I place the phone flat on a table and press the PB, without additional movement, the screen stays off.

The screen stays off if allowed to Sleep past the set duration.

The past couple of days I've also been getting notifications that certain Apps are preventing Stamina mode from operating. This morning it was Facebook. Yesterday, it was another one I can't remember. Can these issues be related?Â
LG G4 :: Weather Animation On Lock Screen
Aug 19, 2015I'm learning more about my G4 every day and like it very much so far. One of the things I enjoy is the weather animation on the lock screen. But it only shows the wanimation for a couple of seconds before it goes away. Is there a way to keep it on longer? It would be nice to keep the animation on as long as the lock screen is displayed.

Jan 18, 2016I just got a Lumia 950, and I noticed the the lock screen swipe animation works differently than in WP 8.1. The whole image does not scroll, just the time, date, and notification icons.
Is this normal? Below is a picture of it mid-swipe. Neither the weather information (nor image) has moved, but the time, date and notification icons have.

Mine dims and turns off without a fade out effect which I swear was there before? I don't know.
Black Screen That Keeps Coming Back On IPhone 4s
Jun 1, 2014I have been getting a black screen (while iPhone still works) over and over again, now everytime it happens I just go and reset the thing pressing the power and home button at the same time for a few seconds. The fist few times it worked but now it doesnt seem to anymore, I just see the apple logo, then nothing. So I decided to go ahead and restore it on iTunes. Well, I found that I couldn't do it nor back it up without turning "Find My iPhone" off. But I couldn't see the screen, so I went ahead and took screen shots (home and power button) after every swipe I blindly took on the screen, while having connected the iPhone to my mac and watched the pictures on until I finally turned "Find My iPhone" off and entered the Apple ID password. Once I finally got to do the restore. The screen came back to life and was working perfectly. But I decided to restore de backup and then again the screen went black. What could this be?Â

Mar 20, 2012Xperia mini pro has this cool animation when you press the switch off button...it turns the screen off (puts it in stand by) by closing the screen to the middle with a little white flash. I recently noticed that it is gone, it does not appear any more when I turn my screen off. I have tried changing the animation settings under "display" category but nothing happens.

Feb 27, 2011I already updated my phone twice, from 1.6 to 2.1 and to the latest one, which i forgot what version (the one with officesuitde).. The first update was ok, but the latest brought back the apps I already unistalled-those apps that were already in my phone when I bought it. I got rid of them because they're TRIAL versions only and theyre just eating up the LITTLE SPACE (128mb) of my internal memory.So this is what happens, every time my phone turns off due to empty bat, or when I turn it off manually, then turn it on again, those APPS were once again installed in my phone! So I will have to uninstall it (again!) to free some of my internal memory. But, expect that it will happen again the next time How could I stop this from happening again? I'm sick and tired of doing the same thing over and over.. And I find it necessary to really drain my bat to 0% so I can maximizae my battery's life span, but when i turn on my phone?

Apr 5, 2012So as things are perfect and smiley in the world, the way to make your day complete is to drop your brand new samsung galaxy s2 from a pathetically small height and watch as the whole screen shatters to bits. Enough to put anyone in a great mood.Fixing the screen isn't the problem though. 02 have agreed to fix it for me, for a small fee, but they have confirmed that the whole phone will be flashed before hand. I have a lot of memories on the phone that i would like back.I have connected the phone to samsung keis, however, since the screen locked, the dam thing won't let me in to my own data. Understandably this is to ensure absolutle security to your sh** but I can't help wondering why samsung didn't install an option that allows you to unlock the phone from your computer. really need some help figuring out how I can get my sh** back. If anyone knows how to bypass the screen lock or just refresh it. Any advice would be greatly appriciated. I'm not in a great rush since my mum refuses to pay for the fix. and it'll take me a few weeks to save up.i can't unlock the phone because i can't see the screen and i think the touch pad is bust as well.

1) no notifications are displayed on my lock screen even for missed calls or sms's .. there is no any icon or symbol that informs me if i have missed any call or received a message ; and i have to unlock my phone every time to check
in the Settings -> Sounds and Notifications -> i selected the option to show all the notifications.. but nothing changed

IPhone :: IOS Crashing Back To Shutdown Animation When Double Clicking Home Button
Mar 21, 2012My iPhone 4 running 5.1 has suddenly started crashing back to the shutdown animation when I double tap the home button. It's happening every time I click it, so I can't access the ?springboard??, the part where you can close apps, slide left to access volume, etc... It appears to jam, then drop back to the black screen with loader animation, then just a few seconds later, I see the lock screen again and have to enter my password...
It seemed to start after I installed some rubbish apps last night, but I've removed them since, but the problem persists. Maybe it's a coincidence, and not connected to the naff app..

Jun 29, 2015I've had the G4 since it was launched and until now been very pleased. A couple of days ago it started to turn the screen on by itself every time it timed out or I pressed the lock button... Unless it's plugged into a charger. I've tried pulling the battery and uninstalling any recent apps I'd installed but to no avail. Annoyingly, by the time I got myself to carphone warehouse to get it sorted I was just outside my 28 days.

Aug 20, 2015I can not get the "swipe" option back on my Galaxy S5. I had used the WiFi at work one day but decided that I really did not need it so I had turned it off. It did ask me to reset my security option to pin, pattern, etc etc so I set a pin number, but now I can't get it back to swipe - the "Swipe" section is grayed out in the "Select screen lock" section and it says "Turned off by administrator, encryption policy, or credential storage." I already tried to clear credentials and I also looked for the certificate it asked me to install and i removed that as well. None of that has solved my issue. What I need to do to get swipe access back?

May 2, 2015Just started happening today. When I turn my phone on, instead of getting the lock screen I get a white screen that just has the emergency call box at the bottom. I can get no further than this. When I touch emergency call, I can see the bar at the top with pending notifications, but no way to get there. I can hear the incoming text notification. I can receive a call. On the white screen, I can see the faint images of home and back at the bottom. I have rebooted, removed the battery. when I start in safe mode, I see the same white screen, but it does say safe mode at the bottom, but still can't do anything or get any further.

Dec 24, 2014My M7 died on me and never came back on, so I was wondering if this was an issue with the M8 too? Just the phone turning off and never coming back on. I had a friend whose Galaxy S3 did the same thing.
If it is, is it a very common issue for both the M7 & M8? I loved my M7 and should be upgrading soon, but idk if its a smart decision. Right now prices for both devices are doable, but is it worth it to even invest ~$200?
