Apr 5, 2012My xperia neo SI number is 1246-9893 purchased in UK and using in India right now. Some how I was managed that PC Companion recognizes my neo tried for update.After multiple error messages from PCC i.e "unable to connect to server" it showed software is upto date.I searched other thread and SI number is still not exits.Would like to know delay of providing 4.0.4 update for some SI numbered phones are because of considering fixing bugs raised by users who has updated their neo phones?It seems people are facing issues from every corner of phone with ICS update.Are these things are considered while providing ICS update for remaining NEO users ?

Feb 20, 2012how to update the build number of my Xperia Neo V because I'm scared that all of my file can be deleted once I update it on my own. Also, I go to the nearest SE Service Center here in Philippines, and they told me that the update for build number .42 to .62 is not yet available in the Philippines. Is that true? since, the only requirement/s in updating the build number is the PC Companion?

Jun 9, 2012I just bought my Sony Xperia Neo V last month. It's my first Android Device. I updated it to ICS 4.0.3 Build Number 4.1.A.0.562 and I rooted it. Now my question is, is it safe to update my phone to the latest firmware released by sony? And will the update also fix the wifi issue? The wifi issue is the main reason why I want to update.

Jan 30, 2011I got the X8 a couple of days ago, but not being able to send texts is bothering me. I am with Vodafone Ireland, I refreshed the SMSC number and it says "+35387699989,145". The +35387699989 part is correct, but I'm not sure why the ,145 is there. I have tried removing the, 145 part and hitting update, but I get an update error. The phone has 47.27MB Available Space. It's running Android 2.1 (I purchased the phone with it already installed). I have tried several different sims including a new one I got today.

Aug 5, 2012After the software update on my Sony Xperia Ray to android-version 4.0.4 Build-number 4.1.B.0.431 it is not possible to connect to my Bluetooth car kit.I'm using a Opel Corsa Touch & Go. This car audio & navigation system can be used as car kit with Bluetooth telephones.To solve the problem Opel has updated the software in the Opel Corsa Touch & Go but without success for my on the Sony Xperia Ray and my wife's Sony Xperia Neo V.It works fine with the Apple iPad and the HTC One without any problem.So I guess Sony added some extra software to the Android OS that corrupts the Bluetooth connection.First I start the car kit with the option pairing. The car kit pups-up with a mesage that the phone has to connect with pin code 9876.Then I start pairing from my phone connecting to the car kit. But there is no dialog box shown on my Sony Xperia phone where I can type in the pin-code. The car kit returns immediately with the message "unable to connect, wrong pin code".On a iPad a dialog is shown to fill in the pin-code.

Dec 28, 2010Yesterday I bought a brand new Xperia X10 mobile with android 2.1 packed on November 2010 at a SONY Gallery in chennai. After unboxing the mobile, and initial settings, I could not either make a call or receive a call. The showroom guys made a call to Sony support and said, I need to wait for two days as the IMEI numbers are not unlocked yet. I was terribly disappointed since I cannot use the mobile for another two days. But today I just wanted to make a try and inserted my SIM and checked if i can make a call. To my surprise the call was working. I was happy that the phone is activated.
But after 45 minutes, now again I am facing the same problem. The calls are not working. Neither I am able to receive the call nor I can make a call.

A friend told me that knowing the version of software asociated to my IMEI I can check if the model is the D6603 or the D6653.I bought the model D6603 because that is supposed to be the model that works with LTE frecuencies on my country.The D6653 does not work with LTE on my country.
