how to update the build number of my Xperia Neo V because I'm scared that all of my file can be deleted once I update it on my own. Also, I go to the nearest SE Service Center here in Philippines, and they told me that the update for build number .42 to .62 is not yet available in the Philippines. Is that true? since, the only requirement/s in updating the build number is the PC Companion?

The car kit returns immediately with the message "unable to connect, wrong pin code".On a iPad a dialog is shown to fill in the pin-code.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought a new xperia ray and updated it to the latest update(android 4.0.4 build number 4.1.B.0.431) within the same day and I didn't have much experience with GB. But after the update it randomly restarts several times during the day even I left phone without any activity. But I want to highlight I used Sony PC Companion to update the firmware and during the update process I left the sim card within it and several times it failed the update with no exact error code but it said update failed kind a thing. But I think I finally figured out the reason for that pc companion related problem because my OS was windows 8 consumer preview. So I tried the update using windows 7 and it went properly.

- Very laggy menu and homescreen slide animation
- Not smooth kinetic scrool
- Camera video recorder is too laggy
- All 2D games as Angry Birds as are not playing smoothly
- All 3D games have a big RAM problem.
I've tested ICS with factory settings and cleaned SD card. Also wiped all data. Same problems appeared.I've also Class 10 SD card.All of these problems fixing when i use Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread.

However, I noticed that I am unable to listen to music, I can't hear my phone ringing, The receiver of my calls cannot hear my voice (low sound), No sound on notifications, no sound for the alarm and slower wifi connection. I can only obtain sounds if I connect to an earset. For your information, volumes settings were checked and found to be set at almost 80% max level. Is there a change in the sound settings?

Half of the blue modifier key letters are also mixed up, and I can't even type @ any more. In essence, the keyboard is practically useless.I suppose that without root access, there's nothing that can be done?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI decided to upgrade my Xperia Pro (SI 1252-5232, it´s in the list) to ICS. the Sony PC Companion sees the phone and writes an update to version 4.1.B.0.587 is possible, so i click on agree, it downloads the SW to the PC, and than it TURNS OFF THE PHONE and shows a step-by-step guide how to update (1. disconnect USB cable from phone and PC, 2. battery must be +50%, 3. turn off phone and wait 5 sec.->>???WTF? how can i turn it off when "it" turned it off itself? 4. connect USB cable to PC, 5. hold "back" key and connect phone to USB). I tried it several times, with MTP and MSC mode, disconnected it, turned off, waited 5 secs, pressed "back" and connected" maybe 5 times all the possible ways, but it simply does nothing when I press the back button and connect it, only the LED is green.
I´am doing wrong? How long should I press the back button, which phone-settings are required, where could be the error?
A friend forgot his phone in the bus on his departure. He called ma immediately from the airport informing me about the same, so I called the bus company...and certainly "there was no phone". I went today to the police to report it, so they could track it down, however I was told by the police guy, that as far as it was basically lost, despite that it was lost on the bus and from there it just "vanished", they will not search for the same. He was telling me that I should claim it back from insurance if I did one...if it would be only the phone is one thing, but there were the pictures of the trip and quite some other personal datas, so it is more becuase of that.
The phone was purchased just before the visit, and the friend did not register it through "Find my phone". I was told today that I can enter manually the IMEI and search for location of the phone, as I am pretty sure that the phone is still in the country.

I have an iPhone 4s, currently with iOS 5.1. I use it with my desktop computer which runs Windows Vista (and has the latest iTunes installed 10.6), and my laptop, which has Windows 7 and the latest iTunes. I use iCloud and Photo Stream primarily with the desktop computer. Since receiving the iPhone on launch day, (Nov...14?, 2011), I've had to "Set [it] up as new" twice, most recently this morning. After setting it up as new, the Camera Roll starts over with pictures at IMG_0001.JPG. That means, that, after my first picture after this latest reset, I'll have three pictures all initially named IMG_0001.JPG, and instead, I'll have IMG_0001.JPG, IMG_0001 (1).JPG, and IMG_0001 (3).JPG in my photo library. This robs me of the ability view my photos sorted by name, which is often the default sort order in my photo folders, and still see them chronologically. I can, of course, sort them by Date Created, but it would be more flexible if I could do either one.
Therefore, I'd like to set Camera Roll to start numbering its photos starting with whatever the next number higher than all the rest in my library would be, in this case, IMG_0553.JPG. I can't just use Windows to go into the iPhone's Camera Roll and rename the first photo I take to be IMG_0533.JPG. The iPhone just doesn't allow tampering with the filename that way. Can I even count on Camera Roll to note the presence of the highest numbered file in its folder and then just name the next picture taken the next higher number? Since I have no reason to believe that I won't have to reset the phone again, I'd like for whatever method I find to be one that I can use to set the Camera Roll to start at whatever other number I need when the time comes.
UPDATE: So what I tried to do was, with an empty Camera Roll, I uploaded a picture with the filename and number that I wanted (IMG_0533.JPG) into my Photo Stream, then saved that picture to my Camera Roll, hoping it would retain the file name, and then Camera Roll would just use the next number. That didn't work. It saved into Camera Roll as a brand spanking new IMG_0001.JPG.

My xperia neo SI number is 1246-9893 purchased in UK and using in India right now. Some how I was managed that PC Companion recognizes my neo tried for update.After multiple error messages from PCC i.e "unable to connect to server" it showed software is upto date.I searched other thread and SI number is still not exits.Would like to know delay of providing 4.0.4 update for some SI numbered phones are because of considering fixing bugs raised by users who has updated their neo phones?It seems people are facing issues from every corner of phone with ICS update.Are these things are considered while providing ICS update for remaining NEO users ?

So I did software repair with pcc and after phone started I did factory reset.but again it's overheating. Phone is new and it doesn't have hardware issue. Furthermore, it charges slowly.only 10% every hour.

Making that aside, i must say i found it odd that, when using the SE Pc companion software to update my android build from 2.3.3 to 2.3.4 the Supportzone says my mobile is already up to date, when it is clearly showing an outdated build and kernel ( 4.0.A.2.377) how can i get my mobile to be up to date?P.S from time to time i notice the flicker when the light sensor senses a decrease on light, but its barely noticeable.
