View 3 RepliesI was prompted to have a software update by PC Companion with build no. 4.1.B.0.587 and it was successfully installed in my phone.
However, I noticed that I am unable to listen to music, I can't hear my phone ringing, The receiver of my calls cannot hear my voice (low sound), No sound on notifications, no sound for the alarm and slower wifi connection. I can only obtain sounds if I connect to an earset. For your information, volumes settings were checked and found to be set at almost 80% max level. Is there a change in the sound settings?
We have a big Problem with our Xperia Play R800i! Our operating system has been deleted and we don´t know how to get into Clockworkmod Recovery System without an Operating System. In two weeks we are going to Hungary and we would like to use the mobile phone there so we´d like to use the guarantee to repair the phone but it would take too long. So we hope that you describe us how too get our system back or get into CWM!

So I did software repair with pcc and after phone started I did factory reset.but again it's overheating. Phone is new and it doesn't have hardware issue. Furthermore, it charges slowly.only 10% every hour.

But after the update it randomly restarts several times during the day even I left phone without any activity. But I want to highlight I used Sony PC Companion to update the firmware and during the update process I left the sim card within it and several times it failed the update with no exact error code but it said update failed kind a thing. But I think I finally figured out the reason for that pc companion related problem because my OS was windows 8 consumer preview. So I tried the update using windows 7 and it went properly.

I just got mine, and its great. I cant get over 100+mb free space..and OS 5.0.0.330 tmo official is fine but I cant help myself and want to upgrade(lol). Whats the best build out for tmo? I wanted to put .405 att official on but I read a bunch of posts saying to stay away from that unless you are AT&T...I am not really sure why, I never heard of carrier specific builds...RIM makes the build and carriers call them official if they pass their tests.I do not want bugs...Im over that...gone through trying every single new build on my 9000, lololol.I want one with the best battery life possible and everything working.

My second slide, when I slide up the screen for texting and press the back key (by the genius button) it squeaks like crazy. These squeaks are like 2 plastic being smashed together. I noticed that the bottom of the touch frame is differs from the plane of the metal case. The different is ~1mm. I also noticed that there is a gap on the top of the frame under the frontal camera. When I put my DS on the charger the gap is more visible. I attached an image of this stuff. I'm waiting for your opinions.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI used to own beyond160, it stopped working when I went to OS5.419, anyway.Yesterday, Monday, I was typing an SMS, I dropped by phone, but when I picked it up I noticed something different. Underneath the name in the SMS where it shows the characters left in an SMS, it said "160 (1/6)". I was able to type, the 160 would count down, and once I passed the 160 mark it said "160 (2/6)". I opened new SMS threads, exited in and out of messages, was able to span texts.This support for spanning texts came out of nowhere, but I look at my phone now, and it's gone! back to 160 and saying Field Full after I finish typing.
View 13 Replies View RelatedAfter reading several threads concerning the build quality of the handsets made on Canada and Mexico, When I received my replacement handset and found that it was made in Canada (on 16 Jan 2010) I set about to finding faults in it. (I have always had a phone made in Hungry) I pressed the damn thing all over, shook it, tested the buttons and eventually FOUND that the track pad was raised at the top. Looking at it further, I discovered that what I thought was the raised bit was the ridge where the hosing meets the screen and the track pad is completely sound and flush.
Although I started (because I was convinced that Canadian and Mexican handset have inherent faults) (and my apologies to All the Canadian and Mexican people), I discovered that this handset is better than the one I had before (which was made in Hungry).Apart from everything being solid, the keypad is slightly different (in my opinion) then my old handset. The raised bits (or ridges) on each key are more prominent so when I move my finger or thumb, Iknow I am on a different key thus avoiding the typing mistakes.
I just wanted to share this because I am sure we all get influenced by what we read and although I am sure that there are some poorly build handsets out there, our starting point should be that the phone is fine, and then deal with anything else that transpires.
We just received our first android phone. It is as stated HTC Aria. We little disappointed with it.
1. There is no visual voicemail build-in. Is the app through android market good enough? Does it work fine?
2. Yahoo email cannot be configured through build-in mail app. We downloaded Yahoo app and so far it works OK.
3. Facebook for Aria is not the same as for iPhone (chat is missing).
Here is my question: Did it come with the latest SW version? Is SW update (2.2 I guess) coming soon?I know some of you will say I needed to wait for Samsung phone. This phone was bought for my wife and she wanted HTC only

I keep getting error stating device isn't eligible for the requested build. I have completed all troubleshooting I could find. Went through host files, have no 3rd party security software, restarted, software, ios and itunes are all up to date.

The SG-II's built-in mail app has a most annoying "feature":it obviously marks mails that it downloaded as read on the POP server. I would prefer to have them still left as "unread", so when I access my account via Outlook later, they would be downloaded there as well. I realize, that this would mean that I have to re-read them (or mark them as read) again but I would prefer to have ALL my mails in Outlook as well. Currently, if I read my mails via the SG-II but want to keep one of them also in Outlook (e.g for archiving purposes), I have to resend the mail to my second account (which is only polled by Outlook). I find this is most stupid and annoying!
PS.: I do NOT want to switch to IMAP for other reasons and my POP account has worked as I described with Windows Mobile before, so I don't see, why I can't have that same behavior with my Andorid device.
