Jun 10, 2012Is there a way to restrict the number of text messages you can receive in a day from one person? There's someone I work with, I sent a text to them about something they did, and then I got bombarded by over 20 text messages which froze my messaging (on another phone, I just got an iPhone 4s). I can't totally end my relationship with this person, as they are good at their job. I just want to avoid another text message assault if possible.

Aug 8, 2010We use a service at our office that I forwards our calls to our mobile phones. However, when the call is forwarded I need to press 1 to allow it to come through. It is annoying that I have to hit the icon at the bottom left to make the number pad come up... and I often miss the call because the screen will not come up fast enough to hit 1 to receive it. Is there a way to make the number pad come up (and stay up) by default when receiving a call?

Today, for the last 4-5 hrs, I've been receiving numerous spam SMS msgs from 2 area codes in the Atlanta, GA area that are 3 different mobile numbers, and some of which are from the same repeating mobile number. Apr 14, 2011A recent purchaser of X8. All of a sudden I couldn't receive text messages, I know they were being sent as I get them from Facebook and tried a plain phone one from another phone. Update to 2.1 seemed to fix it. However, again today, no text messages are coming through.

Sep 9, 2011I have an x10 which is a little over a year old. I updated it to 2.1 a few months ago.Lately, I can't recieve texts. I can send them, and people recieve them, but when people text me, I don't get their texts.I have put my sim card into another phone, and have been able to recieve texts perfectly.HOWEVER. I have resolved this issue once, I was reccomended to do a factory reset on my phone. I did it, and I was receiving texts again.But, after a while, I stopped receiving texts.I don't want to have to do a factory reset again and again, since reinstalling all the apps is a pain.

Aug 1, 2010My phone starting locking yesterday and on pressing the home putting brings up the message reactivating phone & brings up the Sony Ericcson start up screen. Then shoes "Emergency Nos Only". It won't receive texts but I am able to send them. Calls appear to be working ok other than I had a couple of missed calls yesterday which apparently rang once and then said phone is switched off. I have done a reset but it's still the same.I've also had a problem with apps appearing on the home screen without me putting them there - I had four digital clocks on it yesterday. Is this a software problem?

I recently added someone after my upgrade, but I am not able to receive sms from that 1 person.I can send sms, call and receieve calls from the contact. I've check the phone of the contact and everything seems to be going through and they havenot had any problems with anyone else and neither have I.I do remember at the very beginning, when the contact sent their first message, I was on a phone call and I saw and heard a notification that I hadan sms from them, but when I went to check it, it just disappeared and I have never received anything since. Replacing a new SIM card might be a solution, but I think this may also be a cause of a defective device since the same SIM card still worked perfectly in another phone. This is my second Sony phone and I will not have a third with any reason.

Other major issue that I also had was the phone was automatically reset and erased all data (including external SD). I also researched and they blamed this might be due to someone logged into google account and triggered it. All right, this can be just an explanation, but since this is a very serious issue since the device could hold all types of data that are very critical to users.
