View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using a standard Galaxy S6, just downloaded the update yesterday with Verizon. Ever since then whenever I get a text message I have been getting my standard text ringtone as well as my default notification sound.Not sure at all how to go about fixing this. Looked in settings but to no avail. Tried resetting phone but didn't do anything.I found out through some trial and error that the thing causing the text notification ringtone and the default notification to both ring is having vibration turned on for texts. Turned it off and the problem is resolved.

hello, I just upgraded my phone to the .732. Everything went smoothly during the upgrade, ever since then I have been having trouble with receiving text messages and MMS messages. I have gone to 3 sites for free ringtones have sent the ring tones to my phone, I have not received anything. I also have setup google voice and I am not getting any text messages from people tht text my google voice number.

I am a newbie to Galaxy phones or android for that matter. I am trying to make my sounds for messages, emails, and notifications different but if I change the notification sound it changes all of them. If I change the messages sound it changes the notification sound also.
While I have figured out how to get the sound for individual contacts I cannot find the way to get this to work.
Where do I find the settings to change the sounds of my SMS messages?

One friend even said when she sends me messages for some reason my e-mail shows up in the "to" field, but not my mobile number. When she starts a new message and uses my mobile number I do not receive it. I've tried clearing network settings, deleting messages and turning my phone off. Nothing seems to be working. Any thoughts?

My network provider (Orange UK) say it is a OS fault, but Car Phone Warehouse who i bought the phone from belive it is a network fault. However reading on the web a few people are reporting the same on other networks.

This weekend we were all setting up our BBM through wi-fi and everything was working great except he can not receive messages from my daughter. He can send and receive to everyone in his contact list except her. She has deleted and re added him to her contacts several time, both by email and by pin. The both show up on each others contact list but he can not get her messages but he can send to her. She has been able to send to everyone except him. Recently, though, it can take up to an hour for my message to be delivered to him and vice versa. check mark will show up but no "d" He said he has service, enough so he can text and say BBM isn't working We have Verizon and both of us have Storm2. i was wondering if there was anything we could do to fix it or if our conversations would just have to take a few hours.
