My messages are being delivered to a specific contact, however an R is never displayed and none of their messages ever come through to my phone. They are receiving mine, although it doesn't show me they have read the messages, and none of their messages get to me at all. This is a problem for only 1 contact?!?

Does anybody know how you get the contacts picture to display when receiving a text message? I have all numbers prefixed with the national code so it isn't that causing the problem.

For example, if I had a contact for Jack & Jill, I would have a mobile number for Jill and a mobile number for Jack. In the Contacts I also custom label each mobile number as Jill's mobile and Jack's mobile.When I receive a text message from either of these phone numbers, in Messages I just see that the text is from Jack & Jill. I can't see if it is from Jack's mobile or Jill's mobile.Is there any way to see in Messages exactly which mobile is sending me the text? Or am I going to have to have a separate contact for each person, i.e. Jack & Jill will have to be split up as a contact for Jill and a contact for Jack?

How can I fix this or is it a issue with all blackberrys because this has happened on the both of the blackberry curves that I have used. I use messenger with some of my family from Canada and then it uses my data. If I texted them it is international texting and therefore costs per text.

Everything went smoothly during the upgrade, ever since then I have been having trouble with receiving text messages and MMS messages. I have gone to 3 sites for free ringtones have sent the ring tones to my phone, I have not received anything. I recently added someone after my upgrade, but I am not able to receive sms from that 1 person.I can send sms, call and receieve calls from the contact. I've check the phone of the contact and everything seems to be going through and they havenot had any problems with anyone else and neither have I.I do remember at the very beginning, when the contact sent their first message, I was on a phone call and I saw and heard a notification that I hadan sms from them, but when I went to check it, it just disappeared and I have never received anything since. I don't know the specifics on what kind of access, but I know her nephew used his ipod to have internet/messaging/emailing capabilities. One day after she returned home, I was out and my phone rang with a facetime request from her. Her contact information popped up on my phone. I answered and it was her nephew. I hung up and then received a text from "her" that said "Who is this."Â Â We figured out who we were and I told her that I was getting messages from him but it was coming up as her in my phone.
We also realized that she thought I had been ignoring her texts, as she was no longer receiving any texts from me. She talked to her family and they said they removed anyone there from her services, however she is still not getting my texts. We both use iPhones. She is getting texts from other people and I get her texts, but she does not receive mine. I have deleted her and re-added her, but still no luck. And when I re-added her, my phone recognized her and all of our old texts popped back in.

My friend just got a used blackberry curve today and downloaded BBM. He's been sending me a request but I don't receive it and vice versa when I send him one. We've tried saving my pin under my contact info on his fone and vice versa on mine and still nothing.

i am using N8 111.040.0904 symbian belle,while receiving a call ,almost all calls my phone displaying the number like (+91**********),the same format i have saved in address book with country code.Contacts are unique ,no duplicates,i have deleted the duplicate contacts.
I like NOKIA but this problem irritates me whenever i am receiving a call.
I've an orange sim card and this seems to be only happening with this network.

The main thing that is bugging me is that i'm not able to receive group messages when any of my friends send them via their iPhones.
Checked the following basic things but not sure what else could be the problem... Checked all of their phones to make sure my number is saved under 'phone' and not iPhone in their contactsForgot to turn iMessage off on my iPhone before i switched phone and network but used my new simcard in a friends iPhone and turned it off,

One friend even said when she sends me messages for some reason my e-mail shows up in the "to" field, but not my mobile number. When she starts a new message and uses my mobile number I do not receive it. I've tried clearing network settings, deleting messages and turning my phone off. Nothing seems to be working. Any thoughts?

I have just updated to 2.3.3.. it seems now if i recieve a text it comes through hours after the other person had sent it.. My network provider (Orange UK) say it is a OS fault, but Car Phone Warehouse who i bought the phone from belive it is a network fault. However reading on the web a few people are reporting the same on other networks.
