Does anybody know how you get the contacts picture to display when receiving a text message? I have all numbers prefixed with the national code so it isn't that causing the problem.

I am not receiving any text messages on my new vivaz.I can send text messages however. No problems in receiving and making calls.Cannot be service provider problem as I have been using the same sim card for many years.Help!

I have a W395 with a smashed screen. I've been trying all sorts to get the text messages off it but to no avail. It usually involves sending me a text message with a verification code or something, but I can't read the text. I was going to try forwarding the messages to O2's bluebook but I can only see the bottom, left half of the screen faintly and can't quite see which buttons I should be pressing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am about 12-13 months in to an 18 month contract with 3. My W595 has recently started to play up. It is a random occurrence so I cannot just take it in to a shop and show what is happening and going wrong. I have over 290 contacts and details in my phone. Sometimes when I reach for my phone and press the down button to get to my contacts there is nothing there apart from New Contact and My Numbers. All of the contacts have disappeared. Not only do the contacts disappear but so do all the stored text messages that I want to keep a bit longer before deleting. Fortunately I meticulously back my phone up using PC Suite so at least I can get them back again, but that in it self has it's problems, which I will explain further down. My contacts are stored in the phone memory, (there too many to store on the SIM). All other data, such as the calender, photos and notes remain intact and OK, I can only surmise that this data is stored away from the phone memory on the SD card so it cannot "disappear" in the same way.
I have reported this to 3 tech support but all they do is get me to check for updates to the phone software, (which happens to be current anyway). I just reinstall using the update facility and be done with it. The crazy thing is that because my confidence level is so low at the moment, I have to cart my laptop with me when I go away for wekends, just in case I lose everything again. The phone and the laptop have to be kept together for obvious reasons. The problem was reported to 3 well before the 12 month warranty ran out so any more reported problems that are connected will be covered in the event of a claim being made. They won't send a replacement phone whilst my own phone is away for analysis. I cannot do without the phone and the contents.
I have made my mind up to leave 3 at the end of the contract and I do not want another Sony Ericsson phone - I want to go back to Nokia, I never had any trouble with them. At the moment, I just feel as though I am limping with this W595 to the end of a painful 18 months. Has, or is anyone else experiencing similar problems with their W595? PC Suite Problem. My main problem with PC Suite when used in conjunction with my Sony Ericsson W595 phone is that there is no facility to produce a hard copy or print of the contacts list. I will need to do this when I change phones at the end of my contract to make it easier to input them into the new phone, (which hopefully will be a Nokia!). The only method that I have found is to do a "Print Screen" or a Screen Capture. Of course this has to be done several times to be able to cover nearly 300 contacts and all their input details.

I have the iPhone 5. A few days ago my friend switched from iPhone to Android and since my phone was stuck in using iMessage for her it wouldn't let me send messages to her. I knew this, so turned off iMessage. I turned it back on afterwards. I noticed that after that any picture messages from other people weren't coming through. I went back to iMessage and saw that it was still turned off. I turned it back on and it was stuck in "verifying" and asked me to log into an old gmail account I used for my old iPhone.
I tried loggin in but I guess the password was differnt back then, and something I can't remember. I tried resetting the password and i really just can't get into that old gmail account. So I switched iCloud and iMessage over to my new gmail, no big deal. But now I'm not getting picture messages. People tell me it gives them an error message. Is it still trying to send to the old gmail account info?

I'm rooted on chroma rom and I've also had this issue on the other roms I've tried. It seems like only screenshots that I don't get. My girlfriend has a galaxy note 4 and she can send me most picture messages but not screenshots.
View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter purchasing a new iphone 4s, whenever I receive a text message with a picture, it says I have to view it on[URL] I have reset the phone, reset the sim card......done everything I can find in the trouble shooting guides online and called AT&T (they don't know either, but are supposedly working on it). My phone settings are the same as another family member's phone that is on the same plan with mine.

I have gone to 3 sites for free ringtones have sent the ring tones to my phone, I have not received anything. I also have setup google voice and I am not getting any text messages from people tht text my google voice number.

I follow the step by step instructions on this site, but I only get to the point when they tell me I will receive an SMS with instructions, after I give my phone type and phone number. As nothing happens, I tried "manual setup". Then, all I see is "Manual Setup", completely blank, with no instruction whatsoever! All I can click is "Done", but nothing can be done if I don't receive the sms and if there are no instructions for manual setup. How is that supposed to work? This site is a joke! I would be done sooner copying all my contacts one by one into the new phone or sending them one by one via Bluetooth!

When I go to Wayfinder - Plan rout - A - My Position: I get this error message as" GPS receiver does not receive signals. Please make sure that nothing is blocking the GPS signal (e.g. a roof, building, etc) and try again. I have tried it out even on ground. But is is not functioning. All my other friends can Use GPS from this place from their NOKIA cell, so that means to say that GPS is accessible in the place where I am. Why cant I use GPS.
