I Check on SUS and it says I have the latest - but I last updated about a monnth ago. I have an xperi_ pro MK16, I have build number 4.1.B.0.43, And I am not that "tech savvy"
View 6 RepliesI received a message on my XPeria Mini Pro about the 4.1.B.0.587 Update. In fact, I can not install it. When I start the PC Companion software, it finds the connected Phone. Then I click on update. In the following window I click "Accept" and then the software should prepare the PC for the update. But after one second it stops and returns to Start without any comment. When I start Sony Mobile Update Service then it checks for new updates. As soon as the check is over, the program terminates without any comment. Is there a third way to upgrade?
My config:
PC with AMD, Windows 7 64 Bit, 16GB RAM
My phone keeps telling me to update my software but when I try to do this with pc companion it just says "unable install or start phone software component updates" why?

My phone is encrypted and it didn't ask to unencrypt before applying the update, so I assume this is the reason it failed. So, installed the latest PC Companion on my Windows 7 laptop, it tells me that I'm on the latest version (connected via USB)... so... what now?

Followed the instructions to the letter. Installed the Update Service, downloaded the software and the installation began. After several minutes I was told the installation was unsuccessful and now my phone will not turn on. Hestory : last night i tried to upgrade my phone using Sony Update service. it ran upgrade and everything was new. all previously installed softwares are gone.
Symptoms: it shows android 2.3.4 version on phone but in PC suit while, upgrade using pc suite it says vrsion 4 .a .XXX , and upgrading to 4.b.XXX ... then it proceeds and fails with error "Unable to install or start phone software update conponents" .

I don't have Internet at home and I've been trying to update to 4.1 manually... But it wont let me! I direct downloaded the correct file, then plugged in my iPhone. I selected the device in itunes10 and the. Held down "option" and clicked "update" I selected the downloaded file and it looked like everything was working. But, then it said that it couldn't install the update because it couldn't reach the apple update server... Isn't that the point? So t doesn't need to hit the server?

And it did, when I hit check for system updates it finds the one they were looking for testers for a couple weeks ago, only after I hit download (I've done it 3 times already) and it downloads, I hit install, and my phone powers off, it goes to the screen with the little box, and an arrow, and and android guy, and the progress bar only gets about half way before it suddenly reboots its self, and I'm still on the same version, with an update telling me it's available and if I want to download it when I go back into the about phone in settings

Want to install the latest update PR.1.1 that came out today, but despite removing every application installed on there (something that I only did 4 days ago with the last update, then spent time re-installing them), I still can't install it.
I've re-installed Conky and can see that I only have 33mb free in Root, but have no idea what's in there filing it up. Does anyone have any ideas?I can't flash it through NSU, as that says that I have the latest version at the moment already, when I know that to not be the case...
