I have been using this phone on the WiFi now for over 6 months - just now unable to connect to the WiFi have fiddled a bit and probably changed the settings now not at all sure what settings it should be on. Can anyone advise the correct settings etc.

I've had my W705a for about a year and a half now, and the other day I went to ring someone and couldn't hear a thing. So I put the loud speaker on and then I could hear them. So now, every time I make or receive a call, I have to use the loud speaker because nothing comes out of the normal ear speaker, it's dead. Has anyone else had this problem? I think my phone is out of warranty anyway, so I might just put up with it for another 6 months and get a new phone.

I use bluetooth PAN to connect my laptop to the internet using my phone. I have another laptop that doesn't have bluetooth. It does have WiFi. I would like to turn my C905 into a WiFi hotspot. I have WiFi working on the phone but it doesn't have settings for AdHoc or anything that will let me turn it into a access point.

I can go to websites but when i try to log-in it goes back to the menu screen. Is there something i need to change in the settings? When I take off the password from the router there is no problem at all. Another weird thing is I can access router webpage whilst connection is secured but that is it. My router is showing all the time that connection is associated and authorized. Didn't test this phone on other WiFi points.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am not able to Connect my Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 min pro through PC Companion either by USB or by Bluetooth. I tried all the permutations and combinations suggested by Sony Ericsson support pages, yet no resort.
However, stragenly I was able to upgrade from Android 1.6 to Android 2.1 through PC Companion (though PC Companion refuses to detect). Now my handset say there are updates available and to be updated through PC Companion. However, this time PC Companion is not bending in any direction to support me.
Last night my phone started acting weird and asking if I wanted to copy contacts from the USIM any time I tried to look at my contacts. I ignored it most of the time, but earlier today I tried turning it off and on again to see if that would sort it. Now it literally won't do anything, apart from display a message saying "Insert correct USIM". I haven't done anything different with it that I can think of that would have caused this. I've already tried removing the battery, sim card and memory card but nothing seems to work. Any ideas whether it can be fixed, or what could have happened in the first place?

I sent it to SE and they said they returned it unfixed because of the water damage and corrosion that spreads. However, when I put my SIM card back it, it now says "Insert Correct SIM" even though the SIM card works in my W810. They even replaced my keypad and every button works.After looking up my SIM lock info, everything says 0.Does anyone what happened and how to help?

View 2 Replies View RelatedHaving a problem with my Yari and selecting internet settings - the phone simply won't select any internet settings! Everytime a connection is made to the internet, the phone asks for me to choose what internet settings to install.I have sent the settings to the phone from both Sony Ericsson (SE) Website and Optus (operator in Australia). I receive these ok, but settings don't install. No issue with streaming settings.
The phone will not connect to the operator to download settings for MMS/WAP/Internet.

Steps taken to attempt to resolve:
1. Manual internet settings
2. Operator provided internet settings
3. SE provided internet settings
4. Master reset
5. repeat steps 2 and 3 - same issue.
SE in Australia suggested Master Reset and then code update, which I will try tonight. Other than that, return to retailer.Any one have any suggestions? Hardware or software fault?

Regardless of which data account i pick (T-Mobile Internet, Picture message or SEMC GPRS) I recieve the message - Data account doesn't exist.
