Sony Ericsson :: Hazel - Unable To Surf Internet Through WiFi After Update Service

I just bought my Hazel yesterday night, trying the WiFi n widget (which only appear in some theme and have 5 widgets appear) and found that a lot of the applications are not there, so as advice in written in paper inside the box, I downloaded the update service software into PC and update to my phone this morning and while doing a light browsing, was amaze that I have whole lot of new applications, games and even theme, but at later of the day, I found out that the I cant surf the net through WiFi, I was able to connect to WiFi, but was unable to surf the Internet.
Can anyone tell me how to access internet via a USB connection to my pc, thereby using the pc's internet connection? I have activated the function on the Hazel.
Please tell me how to connect my new hazel with my pc internet modem. can I operate internet without wi-fi and without a mobile internet. can i operate internet through modem if yes then please someone help me how to do that.
My mobile j20i also known as hazel keeps connecting to the inet by itself.This Happened this afternoon after I finished charging my phone. I dont know how and why even when I just turned iton I have that blue globe for about one minute, after that it disappear. A moment later it pops out again. Im sure I didnt open any programs it just keeps going and going which I found very annoying.
My German Hazel does not want to use Canadian WiFi! No matter if I am trying to login to my home WLAN or using an open hotspot - I get a mixture of messages but no WiFi access: "Out of network area, not available, error in communication etc.". I am not using any data plan, just plain prepaid on FIDO.ca - therefore a phone able to use WiFi.Sometimes the Hazel briefly logs-in to my home WLAN, but than immediately drops out on an ongoing basis, i.e. in/out continuously when in auto-login mode. If it stays in for longer than 30 sec. (rarely) and I select 'Internet' I am prompted to choose a network provider - something I don't want when using my WLAN. I never had the chance to use the browser or any internet service at all. I updated the phone software 2 days ago - no improvement!
my gps in hazel was working fine with the earlier firmware. It took time from 5-15 minutes but it did get lock-on but after the update of the firmware from SEUS it is not working. I mean I even kept the tracker app running for almost 3 hours and at different locations but for no use.
I am having problems surfing online on sites such as facebook or google while using WiFi on public access points. And I am in range and the bar is full, and my camera when I take pics at night the light is yellowish and the picture comes out with yellowish lighting.
I recently installed a 4 MB software update through the 'Update software' service in my phone.
I`m facing some major issues with it:
1) The reception has become really bad now! Earlier i never experienced call drops but now they are so frequent.
2) The flash remains on even if u switch it off in the still picture mode. This means when u click a pic, till the time the autofocus is running the flash will remain on.
It is very uncomfortable as everybody around u comes to know that u are taking a pic. Very embarrasing if u want to click secretly.
3) 'Flash Auto' has also become unresponsive. In the same lit room in 1 direction the flash would auto on, in another it wont.
4) The loudspeaker cracks at max volume. This wasnt the case earlier.
The sony ericsson website says sony phones cannot be downgraded. Is it true? Can i never get my original software again?
I thought I may start an Elm/Hazel thread for discussion as it seems many of you have one of the two phones now. I wanted to do this to discuss any problems with things like firmware & issues & other stuff rather than discussing this in the picture thread. I can't decide should I buy Elm or Hazel? I heard about all those firmware update and thats new to me, because I never did anything like that to my old K750i. Is it neccessary to update to the latest firmware? I've also heard that Hazel has a lot of bugs. Is that truth? And recharge problems, are they that bad as they say? I've recharged my K750i for about every 2 weeks.
I had been trying to update my Satio's software. It just could not update for me even after I press the call key at the 5th step for more than 10 mins! The top right hand corner bar never moves to "confirm" it just stays at "connect". Can anyone kindly help me? I really don't want to make a trip down to the Service Center as updating of software takes more than a week!
I am using W810 for past 4 years.Now I am trying to use the call barring service, but I'm not able to do so as I'm getting error "PASSWORD ERROR".Even i tried to use several passwords, still no go.any body facing the same problem.or any body have the solution for this.Also my camera is not working as nothing happens when press the camera button.
I really want to update the software on my phone but it just wont connect to the update service ! Im doing everything it says does anyone else have this problem or is it just me
I cant find the sony ericsson w200i in the Update Service, but i did download from the official website. So how can i update my w200i cause when i enter my pin it says configuration error :S
I have a problem connecting my Aino to PC when using update service. I try to connect it while pressing C button. Update service software doesn't recognize it and a balloon shows up from my task bar with the message "Found new hardware". I click it and my system freezes. I also have tried to connect it while pressing 5 as I read through the other threads but the same problem happens.
I installed the SE PC suite & backed up everything on my phone next I installed the update service & tried to update my phone it is not getting recognized at all following the instructions properly, ie: Shut down fully charged phone, remove battery and re-insert. Do NOT power on phone. run updater, plug phone in while holding "c". the phone shows up as a device in windows XP after about a minute, but it never gets recognized by the updater. however the PC suite beeps & sees the phone ok. what's the deal here, am I missing something? if PC suite & my computer are able to see the phone, why isn't the updater? also having the same issue with a2uploader, it doesn't see the phone at all
It's not about my network having poor reception, my network has fairly decent 3G coverage in my area as my Dad's BlackBerry Bold constantly gets 5 bars of 3G. I bought a Hazel, I love it but seems I've been getting rather poor reception. I tried switching to GSM only but I only get unstable reception. Is there a software update? Too bad the phone doesn't come with a USB cable.
My purpose is to go for voip call through wifi but in J20i,I only found sip settings under the connectivity menu without any voip client?,can anyone help me in this regard.
I was thinking to get one next week especially for it's price and design. I just wanted to know how is the 16M color TFT display of the device? How sharp and vibrant is it? I previously owned a W995 and I was shocked by the poor display of it, the colors looked so faded, though it had 256K screen. The best 16M colored display (non touch) I owned was the N95. Can I expect same from Hazel? or better or worse? and What about the earpiece volume? Is it that same medium range like other SE phones or been increased?Hazel owners please put your inputs. Is just me? Or does the red/rouge hazel look so damn sexy? Don't get me wrong, I'm a straight guy, but damn! I love that red look on hazel when I personally handled it on a store.
I have just purchased a used Satin phone and I am having problems trying to connect to the INTERNET using the WI-if. I can go to websites but when i try to log-in it goes back to the menu screen. Is there something i need to change in the settings? I have downloaded the latest update but this hasn't made any difference. It may be something simple, i know but as its a new phone for me i am not sure what to do.
I have had the W995 for close to a month now on a contract from Virgin and I am very pleased with it in almost every aspect apart from one!
The problem is as follows. When I connect to my WI-FI via the W995 I wait until I get confirmation that I am connected and then I attempt to access the internet via the browser provided by Sony Ericsson. After a short time I get the message 'Communication error. Try again, turn off Wi-Fi or contact your provider for support'. I have tried many things to fix this problem. I have spoken to Sony Ericsson and they suggested altering my security settings on the router. I have tried using Opera Mini as an alternative browser and perhaps 2 or 3 times it worked for a minute or two and then it failed. I have searched quite a few websites and seen that an awful lot of people have the same problem without getting anywhere with it. There are occasional suggestions that I have read and tried such as manually configuring the service and putting various IP addresses into my phone but nothing works!
I have downloaded many thm themes for my Sony ericsson hazel mobile, but am not able to use a single one. When i try to set the theme, it says theme incompatible, cannot set! Can u plz tell me what the problem is or what i can do?
To make a call i need to always slide the phone, cant i make a call without sliding?And most of the time when i try to make a call,it just disconnects even though there is full signal.Whats the solution for it?Please help!
