I have just purchased a used Satin phone and I am having problems trying to connect to the INTERNET using the WI-if. I can go to websites but when i try to log-in it goes back to the menu screen. Is there something i need to change in the settings? I have downloaded the latest update but this hasn't made any difference. It may be something simple, i know but as its a new phone for me i am not sure what to do.
View 6 RepliesMy vivaz can't connect to internet via WiFi (router tp-link) when connection is secured I already checked all possible combinations. When I take off the password from the router there is no problem at all. Another weird thing is I can access router webpage whilst connection is secured but that is it. My router is showing all the time that connection is associated and authorized. Didn't test this phone on other WiFi points.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had the W995 for close to a month now on a contract from Virgin and I am very pleased with it in almost every aspect apart from one!
The problem is as follows.
When I connect to my WI-FI via the W995 I wait until I get confirmation that I am connected and then I attempt to access the internet via the browser provided by Sony Ericsson. After a short time I get the message 'Communication error. Try again, turn off Wi-Fi or contact your provider for support'. I have tried many things to fix this problem. I have spoken to Sony Ericsson and they suggested altering my security settings on the router. I have tried using Opera Mini as an alternative browser and perhaps 2 or 3 times it worked for a minute or two and then it failed. I have searched quite a few websites and seen that an awful lot of people have the same problem without getting anywhere with it. There are occasional suggestions that I have read and tried such as manually configuring the service and putting various IP addresses into my phone but nothing works!
I want to know how can I connect to Internet with my K850i on Windows 7. I tried everything and have no clue.

There is no signal indicator appearing on the upper part of the screen like 3G/HSDPA/EDGE/GPRS. Just plain signal bars. Is that ok? Is the signal means GSM only and no Data signal?

View 1 Replies View RelatedFirst off, a bit of background. I bought an ELM (unlocked) off of eBay. I was able to put an ASDA sim in and it is fine for calls etc. However, I'm very puzzled as to what is going on with the internet settings. I contacted ASDA and they sent the appropriate setting for my phone but whenever I try to use Opera Mini , Bolt, GPS or anything else Internet related the connection fails almost immediately. What doubly puzzles me is that if I press the O2 softkey a page comes up which says 'It looks like your using wifi (which I'm definitely NOT) but then that page allows me to browse to other pages (BBC etc). The phone has clearly originally been on O2 and it's almost like something in there has grabbed the internet and won't let go so it's the ONLY internet page I can access. I've tried hard resets as suggested by ASDA etc.

However, GPS was still up and live so no route completed as it complained no network.Why does it need network to run?Seems pointless as you cannot guarantee a signal. for example, on my route home from work for the 45min drive I have an orange signal for about 10mins.
