BlackBerry :: Unable To Create POP Account On It
Oct 28, 2011We go to the email setup wizard and straight away it is asking for a username and password, we enter our email address for username and password of the email account for password, we click next and then it displays a message to enter the username, it keeps displaying this on both of our phones.
We have hotmail and yahoo accounts already setup on our phones, these were setup with no problems at all.

Jun 1, 2011I'm having trouble setting up a new email account. I am able to connect to the Internet using the browser, so it doesn't appear to be connectivity issue. Doing a Soft Reset and pulling the battery doesn't help.

My 9700 comes today as an upgrade on th Three UK network and I am very excited! I have read the Lec101 series and it is very exciting but I cant take all that info in one go.I have one question (I am sure this is a first of many more to come ). Can anyone post a link to creating my BB email account on Three. I have looked through their website but I cant seem to find any link.if I dont set up a BB email account, will I still be able to set up my other yahoo or hotmail account on my BB and will I be able to use BB messenger.

Dec 4, 2011I am new to BB and have successfully set-up 2 of my email accounts. The 3rd email account that I am trying to set-up is a Godaddy hosted account (1 of the other 2 accounts I have set-up successfully set-up is also with Godaddy - - it is an "Exchange" hosted account whereas the one I am having problems with is a "pop' account).
The steps I am following include:
Go to "Internet Mail Account" Click on "set up another email account" Click on "other" Enter my Email address and password, and hit "Continue"
The message returns saying that "your device had a problem connecting to the server"?
I have called Godaddy and they referenced particular port settings but I cannot find anywhere in the "set-up" menu that I can set the ports. They also recommended contacting BB...
After many, many tries on my BB device, checking and rechecking my account settings on Godaddy and my Outlook client settings...I just cannot get this to work.

Jan 7, 2010I have a new BB working with t mobile but not with a plan only with refill and I don't know if this is a problem for to set an email account on my blackberry??, I have access to wi if in some places. If is not a problem I can tell you that I never see the option on my blackberry offer me to create an account or add an account on the BB only says in email setups this " I want to use a work email acc with a BB Enterprise Server." that is the unique option that appear on the phone. The icon for de email configuration also didn't appear.
I don't understand why this option not appear on my BB . I only want to see mi gmail acc with my BB. Thanks a lot!

Jan 25, 2010Due to security issues, I am unable to create an account on my BB to receive email. To maneuver around this problem I simply forward all my emails from my University account to my Gmail which I can receive on my blackberry. However, these emails never sync to my phone even though they do appear in my gmail account when I access it through a computer. Any thoughts? Is this a Gmail or BB issue?

1. Does the mail client allow you to create an icon for a specific email account on the main screen? I'm looking for something similar to my Blackberry where I have icons for each of the email accounts that the phone is monitoring. I don't care for the iphone where you have to click through the email client to bring up a different email account.
2.How is the media player?I hope to replace my ipod touch with the N1.I mostly listen to long MP3s of radio shows and have to frequently use my finger to FFW 10 or so minutes within a file that is 6 hours long. I finally got used to doing this on the touch, and I am hoping that the interface on the N1 would also allow such fine skipping within such a large file.
3.Is it any good for playing movies?
4.Does the email client let you specify an email check period? The smallest period on the iphone is 15 minutes, but I would like to enter a smaller value to help ease the transition from Blackberry push email if I were to make the switch to the N1.
