BB Storm 9500 :: Email Forwarding Not Appearing - Unable To Create Account?

Due to security issues, I am unable to create an account on my BB to receive email. To maneuver around this problem I simply forward all my emails from my University account to my Gmail which I can receive on my blackberry. However, these emails never sync to my phone even though they do appear in my gmail account when I access it through a computer. Any thoughts? Is this a Gmail or BB issue?

BB Storm 9500 :: OS 5.0.0.328 / Unable To Login To Messenger And Email Account

I have blackberry 9530 with OS 5.0.0.328. When I tried to login to yahoo messenger with my yahoo id. it say "Invalid Yahoo! ID or Password" then I try on my computer and I can log in, so there's nothing wrong with my ID and Password. Then I try another Messenger application like Windows Live and Google Talk but they said similar sentences. After all of that I try to add my email at setup/email settings but still I can't add my email too using my blackberry. oh ya! i try to log in with my browser on my blackberry too but I still can't login. Then I ask my friend and try to log in using my friend e-mail, my friend can login without any problem. After that I have initiative to make a new email and I did but when I log in using my blackberry I can't.

BB Storm 9500 :: Email Senders Name Not Appearing

I have a BlackBerry Storm (original version) and today, all of a sudden, the email senders name has stopped appearing - all I get on the top line is the little envelope icon and the time, no senders name appears.I cannot recall changing any settings or tinkering with the email settings.

When I receive an email, the senders name is not appearing.All I get when I receive an email is the little envelope icon, the time and the subject.I have not changed any settings (as far as I am aware) - but until today, all the information used to be displayed. How do I create a new (different) icon for my second email account? Currently the only difference between the two existing icons is the verbiage on each one. If I cannot change one of the icons, can I change the color (or something) to make an obvious difference in them? ---Storm 9530.

I am using a Blackberry Storm 9500, i add a meeting to my calendar and i cannot forward it to my contacts, i can invite attendee but all that happens is that an email is sent t the contact with the subject update for that meeting.Is my phone capable of completing this function?

I've been searching for a couple hours now. Nothing exactly helping my problem I'm using at&t. Just got browser, etc. Trying to set up my bb email/set my yahoo email on my bb. I read the bb email basics writeup, said you have to do it on your bb browser to set it up first. Went to the at&t page, then it said to do the options-adv options-host routing table-register now. Did this several times, nothing happens, still can't get on the at&t email page.

BB Torch :: Unable To Create A New, 3rd Email Account

I am new to BB and have successfully set-up 2 of my email accounts. The 3rd email account that I am trying to set-up is a Godaddy hosted account (1 of the other 2 accounts I have set-up successfully set-up is also with Godaddy - - it is an "Exchange" hosted account whereas the one I am having problems with is a "pop' account).

The steps I am following include:

Go to "Internet Mail Account" Click on "set up another email account" Click on "other" Enter my Email address and password, and hit "Continue"

The message returns saying that "your device had a problem connecting to the server"?

I have called Godaddy and they referenced particular port settings but I cannot find anywhere in the "set-up" menu that I can set the ports. They also recommended contacting BB...

After many, many tries on my BB device, checking and rechecking my account settings on Godaddy and my Outlook client settings...I just cannot get this to work.

BB Storm 9500 :: Calendar Items Not Appearing At All

I have Blackberry Storm 9530, and have been having major trouble with my calendar.It started as a duplication problem. I have an Outlook email account & a yahoo email account, and somehow, I ended up with one calendar for each of those PLUS a facebook calendar.

When I would synch my outlook calendar (which is the only calendar I use), my appointments would show up on EACH of those calendars, so it looked like I had 3 appointments for every one!

Then, before I had time to figure that out, I started getting a synching problem - I'd get an error message every time I tried to synch my MS Outlook calendar to my BB. I did some searching on this forum for answers, and tried a few things (like synching only one way or the other way, checking for weird characters, etc) - but nothing helped.

THEN, before I had time to figure that one out, suddenly all my appointments on my device have disappeared! I have tried manually entering an appointment into the device itself, and it won't show up. However, if I try to do it a second time (setting an appointment for that same time period) the interface will say I have a conflicting appointment.

After I saw this, I changed my desktop application so that it would only synch FROM the outlook calendar TO the device and it appeared to synch fine (with no error message), but still nothing at all appears on the calendar.

I just recently got the bb bold 9000 but somehow its seems like almost every function I perform, the clock icon appears in the center and the phone goes all slow. I've got a 1gb memory card and I only used less than 50mb + my app memory I got a lot of free space. Can anyone advise me please?

I'm a BB newbie,just moved over from a Palm Treo.the Storm 9550 is for personal use and I'm not on an Exchange server; thus, BIS, I presume.On receipt of emails, I want to save/store/file them.When I select an email, then click Menu, then click FIle, I see, below the instruction, Selecte Folder: a small tree: my email address under which is Inbox under which is Spam.I'd like to create new mailboxes, e.g., Personal, or Miscellaneous, under Inbox. So far, neither the BB's Help nor the User Guide pdf, nor my Community Forums searches have yielded the answer.

I have just renewed acount with Vodafone and they have included Blackberry Email and I have received a confirmation text from Blackberry saying that my handheld has been registered with the wireless network. However, when I try to create a BIS account I get an error message which says that "PIN is already associated with an account". I have tried different User Names and Passwords but with just the same result.

I recently updated the software on my Blackberry Storm 9500 to version 5.0 and now i cannot send mms (though I can still receive mms).I have spent over 4 hours on the phone with my carrier (Vodafone) and they have no idea why I can no longer send mms. I tried downgrading the software and found I could send mms again.Is there any way of fixing it so i can have the newest version of software on my Blackberry and still be able to send mms?

They had me do everything including delete all my service books and now there is nothing in the host routing table. They finally said, we cant help. I have been using my Storm for about a year now and really like it. I was looking for a way to filter emails. I found the add filter in my email set up but could not figure out how to use it. I also searched these forums for answers but found partial help. Some posts talk about using their BIS account. On my BB i just set my email up and it works fine. I use google apps. gmail that my work set up. In that account i have filters that move my emails to labels. On my storm these same emails come through. My questions are:

1. can i use the built in filter on the BB? to filter my gmail? if so how?
2. why would i want to set up a BIS account? what are the advantages?

Bought an unlocked Storm 9530 yesterday and popped in my T-Mobile SIM card. I could text, but not place any calls. When I tried calling, I received a "No circuit/channel available". At the call screen I see a a phone number that isn't mine. After I gave up I turned off the phone for a while and let it charge. Upon booting up I got an error message and my SIM refused to work at all. It says SOS at the top right and even though my mobile network is on, it just doesn't do anything. I have the mode set to GSM/UMTS and 3G/2G. I can't even select a network manually. I get an error that says "Unable to acquire network."

BB Storm :: 9500 Storm Unable To Retrieve Contacts?

Before updating the Blackberry Storm to Version 5.0 I did a full backup of the device. Since the update I am unable to see any of the contacts in Blackberry Desktop Software on my Mac. I have tried a restore of just the 'Address Book - All' and still I can't see anything even though it states that there are 59 records.

Please tell me I haven't lost them all or whether I am doing something wrong.

I hit send Host Routing Table like it said at crackberry(DOT)com/blackbery-101-lecture-11-bis-email-basics But when i try and make a new account with ATT it says it cannot find it on the list.. So i try the Verizon one, and it says its already been registered. Well i bought this 9530 used, and ive unlocked it, and running ATT on it. So what do i need to do? Dont i have to have this working to get the Blackberry plan to work on my account with ATT?

The new message indicator on my phone is always showing on my GMail account even when there are no new messages when I unlock my phone. However, if I open the email account (and find no new messages), and then close it to go back to the home screen, magically the icon has disappeared. A fix, right? Except when I relock the phone, the same issue keeps recurring.Battery pulls and restoring the OS does not help.

Yesterday added Blackberry Enterprise Server 4.1.4.17 to the phone, which previously had been provisioned by Verizon directly (connected to our exchange server). Email comes in just fine, but if I wish to either reply or forward the message, at the very top of the message, there is a note that states: "Send Using" and next to that is a button that shows "Desktop v" (the v is a down arrow). I am unable to change the Desktop button to my email account.

We go to the email setup wizard and straight away it is asking for a username and password, we enter our email address for username and password of the email account for password, we click next and then it displays a message to enter the username, it keeps displaying this on both of our phones.

We have hotmail and yahoo accounts already setup on our phones, these were setup with no problems at all.

Ok guys...another gmail issue.i got my replacement bb storm in the mail...activated everything w success...restored using DM and it restored all my email accounts...said since i switched devices..i had to revalidate them all.ive got every one BUT gmail to validate..it keeps saying wrong name or pass...and i am 100% positive that they are being input correctly...casing is correct as well...i created another gmail account and it worked fine...i need my primary gmail account on this device!I am 1000% sure the email address and password are correct.

BB Storm 9500 :: Screen Selection Selects Everything In Email Not Select Single Email

I am 1 step away from throwing this phone against a wall, I really need to access my emails asap.. So hoping some1 can help..Basically it seems to intermittently go into this mode or has this bug or even screen damage? If i open my emails for example what ever I click on it highlights every email from the top to that specific email instead of just selecting 1 email. I cannot click on any individual email it just highlights multiple emails and its impossible to open any emails like this, even if I use the BB Function button then click on Open it jumps to the top "Help" and wont select "Open" or any were else on the menu. It happened a few times over the last week or 2 then randomly goes back to normal, was fine all weekend now it has just happened. I cant select some of the main icons on the home screen either, it's really starting to seem like the touch screen is damaged?? (Also I noticed on the facebook ap there is 1 icon it will now not select unless I tilt it to the side..)

I keep seeing the call divert/forwarding symbol appear in the top status bar (a phone handset with an arrow pointing to the right). I cant seem to clear the icon unless I turn the phone hard-off and back on again. I have call forwarding permanently disabled so is this a bug? Is this icon supposed to appear if you just make use of voice mail?

I have the icon sayin that i have an unopened email but when i looked there was nothing that i had not read yet.. i did a battery pull (my first instinct) and then clicked marked all open in the options menu and it is still there there is no red * next to the icon just the envelope with the number 1. i also checked my vmail and deleted all vmails and it is still there please help!
