I can do "Connect to Internet" (from the tools menu) when the phone is linked via the USB cable. When it's on the Bluetooth, the option "Connect to Internet" is greyed out and not available.
Even if I go Tools -> Options, when I click "Connect to Internet" to configure something, PC Suite shows "You must connect your device to be able to change settings".

He connects his phone to his laptop with a USB cable and gets internet on his laptop.I've been trying to connect to his phone through bluetooth and get internet. BTW, I have Windows Vista 32-bit, if that helps.Anyway, I can't figure out what to do at all..I downloaded VZAccess Manager, I downloaded BlackBerry Desktop Manager (Because my computer had been trying to install device driver software and I thought that would fix it, yet it still asks to find device driver software). My computer is paired to his phone, but I'm lost now.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had my Captivate for a week and love it. I do need help please? I listen to about 4 hours of podcast every day. When I turn on the media player and start to listen to a podcast, the sound fades out after about a minute. This is the same headset that worked for almost 2 years on my at&t Fuze. It works great for phone calls. I tried the default media player and DoggCatcher, but that didn't work either, so I'm thinking it's a setting. I've played with any setting I can find in the Bluetooth area, there aren't many.Any help would be appreciated. I believe this is a failure of the A2DP? My work permits me to listen to music & podcasts, but doesn't let me use a corded headset, so this is a deal breaker for me and I love this phone. Even my hubby, who never notices phones, admires the vibrant display and actually asked to see the OS! I'm converting him

Smartphone: Blackberry Bold 9700
Network Device: Bluetooth, Wifi (ad-hoc not available for bold 9700?)
I am using my laptop for traveling and I use USB CDMA modem connection to connect to the internet. Recently my wife bought a Blackberry bold 9700 hoping that she could access internet without carrying her laptop while traveling with me, sharing the same connection from my laptop. I have been trying to use WiFi to connect my bold 9700 with my laptop using ad-hoc but it seems that bold 9700 does not support ad-hoc. Therefore I am trying another way to connect to the internet from my BB using my Bluetooth. I have linked my blackberry device through bluetooth and my laptop is currently connected to the internet.
I have been trying to use my wife's BB to connect to the internet using my laptop's bluetooth connection. But I could not get it to work. Before posting here, I have been searching everywhere on the web for a guide but I could not seems to find one. Could anyone guide me on how to share my laptop internet connection so that my BB could access the web using the same connection as my laptop? If bluetooth and WiFi doesn't work is there any other way? Using USB perhaps? In short: Laptop internet Connection > Share using ? and how? > BB's can browse the web without additional data plan.
My mom just got a new phone. It is a SGH-A777. She doesn't really know how to use the phone and often accidentally open the internet. So we get charged for the unintended internet use. Is there anyway to disable the internet on the phone?

(tried the "update driver wizard" in XP and it couldnt find drivers either.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just moved over to Samsung from HTC (Desire HD). One great feature I used the "Internet Pass-Through" which is kinda the opposite of tethering, where I was able to get internet from my PC onto my phone at times when there was no wireless available so I had to plud a cable in my PC to get internet, then by connecting my phone to the PC via cable, I was able to use the PC's internet connection on my phone, which was great for down loading all my RSS feeds and so on.I've looked for this feature in my new SG S2 and could not find anything remotely like that. Is there a work around which can be done, or perhaps an app that does the same job?

It would sit with the serial number window up even after I typed the serial number in several times.I have tried making the phone see the computer and vice versa, and nothing has worked yet. Yet it does know the phone is there and the phone talks to the computer. Just pairing will not occur. So my question is: Is it even possible or am I missing something to make my phone/computer talk through Bluetooth.I have a StraightTalk Samsung R451C Phone.

I just recently purchased a Black Berry Curve 8310 off the internet after taking my old Samsung U740 into the lake with me while swimming.. yeah stupid, I know.. So, I found out that the U740 doesn't have a sim card, therefore I can;t just take it out and put it into my black berry. Do I have to go to Bell mobility and ask them for a sim card? Can I use the BB with my old plan?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a Samsung SGH-A256 phone to replace my old one that died. I got it cause the phone was cheap and I could just stick my SIM card in and be done with it. Anyway, I tried using the internet with it and it keeps saying "Error: Network Unavailable". I assume it's cause the phone uses the Edge network up here and I don't have access to it on my current plan (my old phone was a Sony Ericsson). So my question is: can I change the APN from internet.com to something and access the internet? Sorry, I'm a little foggy here but like I said, I'm new to all this. I've been trying to look around and find out what this APN business is but all the websites I find don't really explain it.
