Samsung :: Internet - WAP - And MMS Settings For The M8800 Pixon
Jan 4, 2010
I recently bought the Pixon M8800 in pink and everything seems to work fine except the internet, wap and mms. I'm from Canada and I live in Montreal. My carrier is Fido.
I have a Samsung M8910 Pixon on AT&T in the U.S and I am not able to send/receive any type of MMS messages. I get the message "Retrieving failed Define network settings." If anyone knows what I should change the settings to I would greatly appreciate it, or if you know what else could be wrong other than the settings.
Is this Phone still available. Was looking for a spare battery, but cant find one anywhere, plus cant find much information on Buying the Phone (Vodaphone, o2,Orange etc) not even on Samsungs own Web Site.
I've lost my battery, but why can't I find a new one for my M8910 Pixon 12 phone anywhere? None on eBay, can't seem to find any on Google either.I rang Samsung directly, they put me onto a company called EET Nordic.... however they want £20 for the battery, £1.50 for use of a debit card, £8.95 postage!!! Then VAT on top of all that.... £35 is a bit expensive for a battery when normally you can get genuine Samsung ones for under £5 delivered to your door on eBay.
i need help setting up the internet and mms settings on my unlocked samsung katalyst. it is a tmobile phone but i unlocked it and my internet and mms wont work.
need to know 3ginternet settings for tata docomo in india "After changed my plan from 2g to 3g My internet is not working in ma Xperia Ray (ICS update. what i need to change in APN or internet settings to have internet in my mobile.
Can anyone assist me in this? I have a co-worker who just got back from Hong Kong with this hand set and wants to use it on my pay go card with the unlimited browsing option.. Could someone be so kind as to tell me the settings? and how to input them on the phone?
I recently upgraded to a Blackberry Curve 8520 from T-Mobile. I am at my wits end. I have a $9.99 unlimited internet plan with T-Mobile. I have gone through several websites trying to find the APN settings to use with the Blackberry Curve. I have found several of them, but none of them seem to be working. Can anyone out there tell how can I go about this? Honestly, I do not want to pay T-Mobile the $30.00 a month they are asking for access.
who has the x10 mini what exactly I should be inputting for the correct settings? I have the info off the three.co.uk page & I know where they should be entered on the phone but the info isn't exactly the same (the phone has "proxy" "port" "MMS proxy" "MMS port" which two out of these four should I enter the details from three's website I have tried umpteen times to get it right.
When I go to "settings > basic settings > settings download > O2 Pay & Go" to download my settings for Internet and MMS the 3G icon does not appear in the taskbar and then says "Could not download settings, retry?"
When I connect to my router I can go on websites and stuff fine, I want to be able to use the internet when I'm on the move also.
I am unable to connect to internet from day 1.I tried contacting with my network operator and he sent twice the downloading settings, but i didn't receive them.where can i download the applications like recorder , mp3 cutter etc. Also , the ringer volume of the phone is very low....is there any way we can increase the volume.
I am changing networks and installed my new Vectone SIM. I needed to send a TXT to setup the internet. It changed some settings on my phone and gave me the options to make these settings the defaults which I foolishly said YES to.Previously I could connect to the internet via WIFI or 3G (it gave me the option before hand) however now it likes to force me to use the new 3G service (even with my old SIM fitted).I managed to get my old settings back, but they keep changing back when I turn the phone off or leaving the house.I also don't seam to be able to have WIFI and new 3G option menu.
Been thrashing around with an E-mail prob and found this setting.
Settings/connectivity/admin settings/packet data/access point = none
I don't think its of any significance to my problem seeing as my 5800 mostly works but I would have thought that something should be there. Anything to be concerned about?
I just bought a Nokia X3, and unlocked my AT&T GoPhone sim card to work with the phone, but I can't use web or send MultiMedia text messages; Anyone know what Internet setting I need to plug in manually for the phone? Phone doesn't manually have the settings, and AT&T customer Service was of no help at all.
Requested internet settings from the Sony Ericsson support page as I have not been able to access the internet on my phone. I've been waiting 20mins and nothing has come through. Should I wait this long or should I request again?
I just got a Xperia Ray ST18a. During the setup wizard I was able to connect to my home wifi but when it tried to download the carrier internet settings (AT&T) it would return an error dialog "Could not download settings. Retry?"
I then had the phone check for updates via wifi and it found Gingerbread 2.3.4. I installed that. I still cannot get the carrier settings. I'm trying to do this now by Settings, Sony Ericsson, Internet Settings. Same error message.
My wife has an Xperia Neo ST15a. It was setup a month ago in the same location also with AT&T. Her phone had no problem getting the settings.
Yes Data service is 'ticked' and please don't say 'Call your carrier'. I prefer that AT&T not know what type phone I am using. And YES I do realize I could go on my wife's phone for the settings, but I feel the automated method should work.
I've only just discovered the E63 and purchased one. The phone seems pretty nifty, not that I need all those bells and whistles. I'm having a problem with the MMS, GPRS / WAP settings for Optus Prepaid. When I popped in my sim card when first turning the phone on, I was automatically sent these 'settings'. I was able to find my way onto the Ovi store and downloaded a few themes, so it must have been working. Now, it won't connect at all, less than two days later.
I've been exploring the phone, but I haven't fiddled with any of the internet settings, nor MMS. I've contacted Optus and awaiting a reply, and have been onto the Zoo website to send myself the settings, but the phone won't recognise them and the settings pop up as a text message that the phone is telling me I cannot open, and there is no option to save them.
I've been searching for hours to find a way of getting my HTC Legend to pick up the internet and use it's internet based widgets away from WiFi, as I am on a Pay as you go contract with O2, and I can't seem to setup the APN's correctly. - O2 do not support this phone, or even the hero, and when they tried sending me setup info, they must have sent the details to the wrong email address :O(
The phone loads up with the Vodafone screen (so has obviously come from them at some point), but works just fine with my O2 sim card, with the exception of the internet.
My pc companion wouldnt update my phone to 2.3.3 so i decided to flash it to get the update that way, but now that ive done that i dont have any internet settings and apparantly i need to get sony ericsson to text me them
Im trying to restore factory settings on my iphone to send it off for trade in but it will not allow me to do this without an internet connection. The wifi on the phone doesnt work which is why i've got a new one. Is there any way to do this offline?
I have a Nokia N97 and am having a couple of problems with it.Software Version 20.0.0.019. (There is an update to v2.1, but when I check for updates it says that no updates are available, so to double check I typed my code into the "check if my device is compatible with upgrade etc..." and it says that the current compatible version is 20.0.0.019.
Are some N97's compatible with the update and others not?The most annoying problem I have at the moment is that even when a WLAN network is available, setup and tested as being able to be used for surfing the web or for applications, there are some applications (Ovi Store is one of them), that refuse to use the WLAN and instead wants to use the much more expensive internet provided by GPRS I think..
So I tried deleting the GPRS connection (in destinations/internet) in an effort to stop the software for selecting that connection and hopefully defaulting or allowing me to select my wireless network, which were all set with a higher priority than the GPRS connection, even before I deleted it.
Imagine my amusement when it still wanted to use the GPRS connection, and somehow managed to, even though the connection is no longer setup on my N97.Does anyone know if there is a setting I am overlooking or something I am missing?
