Whether I should get the Samsung Corby phone or not. I saw the wep490 Bluetooth and it makes want to buy them together. They say that wep490 will change to wep495 in an In-earphone form next year. Is In-earphone Bluetooth comfortable to use? Or is regular ear phone Bluetooth more comfortable?
I've had my Captivate for a week and love it. I do need help please? I listen to about 4 hours of podcast every day. When I turn on the media player and start to listen to a podcast, the sound fades out after about a minute. This is the same headset that worked for almost 2 years on my at&t Fuze. It works great for phone calls. I tried the default media player and DoggCatcher, but that didn't work either, so I'm thinking it's a setting. I've played with any setting I can find in the Bluetooth area, there aren't many.Any help would be appreciated. I believe this is a failure of the A2DP? My work permits me to listen to music & podcasts, but doesn't let me use a corded headset, so this is a deal breaker for me and I love this phone. Even my hubby, who never notices phones, admires the vibrant display and actually asked to see the OS! I'm converting him
I purchased an Iogear USB Micro Adapter Model GBU421WM to try and transfer things from my computer to the phone. After updating the Bluetooth software and trying several times to pair my phone with my computer nothing would happen. It would sit with the serial number window up even after I typed the serial number in several times.I have tried making the phone see the computer and vice versa, and nothing has worked yet. Yet it does know the phone is there and the phone talks to the computer. Just pairing will not occur. So my question is: Is it even possible or am I missing something to make my phone/computer talk through Bluetooth.I have a StraightTalk Samsung R451C Phone.
I just replaced my Motorola V710 with a Samsung Convoy. One feature of the V710 that I used regularly was Bluetooth DUN to connect my PDA for web/email access. The DUN profile is in the Convoy, the devices connect and make the call, but at connection the phone resets-and my provider tells me that's because Verizon wants you to pay for an extra data paln for this!
I recently bought a samsung link and discovered it can connect to my pc, but for some reason if i try to send a file to my phone from my pc or visa versa it fails. the message on my phone that appears when i try to send it a file from my computer is Vcard Failure. do i need to compress the files? i have an 8gb micro card in my phone.
My sons SGH-F490V has a bluetooth issue with a TomTom One V3.Both will see each other via bluetooth but will not connect 'Tomtom to Samsung' or 'Samsung to Tomtom', yet my SE C510 has no prob. The Samsung model is not listed with Tomtom.Any clues of how to overcome this, updates or patches for TomTom?
I've paired my S2 with my portable HP printer but I get the message that it will only work if it's to a Samsung printer.
Is there anyway round this apart from sending the info to my laptop first and then to the printer? I would prefer to go direct (I've tried using USB cable connection but get same message).
I have a 2012 bmw 5 series. I can pair the phones but after about 2 minutes it losses pairing. I noticed that the phone contacts never download beyond 3 contacts(I have over 1,000) so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I called bmw service and they were totally unaware of what to do.
Also media is not supported! When connected texts and music will not show or stream.
Can anyone give me instructions or tell me if it is even possible to tether via bluetooth connection on the Samsung Stunt? I do not have a USB cord for it and I am also not sure if they even make one for it.
Have my Omnia I900 connect to the bluetooth kit in my freelander and every minute or two the screen actives similar to pressing a button (think its performing a sync or something) This may seem minor but at night it is very annoying and if I forget to plug it in on a long journey it drains the battery. Anyone come accross this and know how to stop it happening?
I am trying to decide between the HTC hero and the Samsung Moment for sprint. The main thing I want is to pair a bluetooth keyboard with it. However I can't find if the moment supports SPP or HID profiles. I know HID support isn't in android yet, but I saw this, http://i-miss-erin.blogspot.com/2009.n-android.html ,and realized that possibility I might be able to add HID support myself? So does anyone know what profiles are supported?
Has anybody else had issues with streaming music using Bluetooth? The first 10-15 minutes I am streaming, the sound cuts out for about 1 or 2 seconds randomly. Calls work fine, seems to just be the A2DP profile. Thought it might have been Pandora at first with a weak signal, but it happens with music playing off of the internal memory as well.
I am wondering if there is a way for bluetooth DUN mode? I have it enabled over USB cable, but I would like to use it over Bluetooth. All of the phones specifications say DUN is a supported Bluetooth profile, but it is not in the list anywhere. I can live with plugging it in, but it would be so much easier to do it over Bluetooth.
I have my car paired with my S2 Bluetooth. The other day I connected the speaker out on the S2 to the audio-in on the car stereo. I received a call while listening to an audio book on the phone. The car muted the audio in and answered the call. I could not hear the person calling. I think the phone was trying to send the sound out the speaker rather than the Bluetooth. When I don't have the phone speaker connected, Bluetooth works correctly.
When I put it in the car dock the voice controls work great, and when I navigate the voice from the phone is fine. I have bluetooth built into my car, and so when I enable bluetooth, I can now make calls on the phone using the car's voice controls, and I can hear the calls over the car's speakers, but I lose all voice functionality on the phone. That is, I can no longer speak to the phone and get it to respond, even though it's on the voice-activation screen. There is also no voice from the phone, for example in navigation. It doesn't come from the phone nor from the car's speakers. As soon as I turn bluetooth off, all that functionality comes back.
Any ideas on how to rectify this? I'd like to hear the navigation through the car's speakers ideally, or otherwise, at least be able to hear it from the phone's speakers and have the phone respond to voice commands while having bluetooth enabledSecondary issue: there's no more alert for received text messages when I get one with my Galaxy. My previous phone worked fine, so I know it's not a car system issue. This is less important, but I'm still curious.
i have issues trying to connect my sg 11 to my parrot bluetooth in my van,ive had many phones which have connected no probs and synced my contacts to straight away, even my iphone worked hassle free,i've just upgraded to a nice shiney galaxy 2,which is excellent i must say, just 1 gripe,it will connect to my parrot, but i cant sync my contacts,so no phone book access
A short time ago i upgraded to firmware I9100BUKI1 and today i tried to use Bluetooth for the first time since then to send a file. When the sending was half finished the phone restarted and then it kept restarting once a minute (basically right after turning on).So i turned it off completely and then turned it back on and it seems to be fine. But if i try to turn on Bluetooth the same thing repeats
I got a new (2012) car with BlueTooth. When I initiate pairing, I'm asked for 4-digit code displayed on the car. But before I can enter that code, the formular/screen exits and it says "Unable to connect" on my SGS2. Tried it 10 times with same result. After that it does actually connect (and works) with phone. But the music streaming is not an option. My other car has a Sony stereo which the SGS2 connects just fine to, both phone and music.i guess it's a compatibility issue between ICS BT and my new car's BT. What can I do besides cry at the car-dealer (where he will laugh and tell me to get another phone)?
I have the galaxy s and my wife has just bought the s2 now when she turns on her bluetooth the message alert notification sounds ? My galaxy s makes no sound when I activate it........is there anyway of turning off the notification sound for the bluetooth on the s2
I've found that when i'm making a call from my car using Bluetooth the sound is very distorted, and the person receiving the call is having problems hearing the conversation clearly, but i can hear them with no problem. My question is - how can i change the settings on my S2 to resolve this.
My wife can not believe that the phone rings through the Phones speaker even if she is listening to music through her BlueTooth headset(s). This happens with several BlueTooth devices, so it must be either a function of the phone, or a setting she has not found yet.
The problem is that if she is in a public area listening to music on the BlueTooth, and a call comes in, it transfers to the Phones speaker and disturbs everyone. I would think that if the phone was connected to BlueTooth, it would know enough to keep the speaker OFF. Is this normal for his phone? She uses a Motorola S9-HD headset, or a Plantronics Voyager Pro or a BlueAnt Supertooth 3. This happens no matter which device she is using.
My samsung wep460 pairs and works perfectly with my Nokia 5350. But it just won't pair with iPhone, My iPhone on the other hand can recognize other devices like my laptop but doesn't find the WEP460. Is this headset incompatible with iPhone 4s? I have tried turning on/off airplane mode, siri etc. to no avail.
i have a GSII and recently bought a Lexar 32GB Micro SDHC class 10 to put my music on. I have a Sony bluetooth head unit in my car which acts as my hands free and the added bonus of connecting to my music on my phone thus having no need to change CD's or have your friend be a DJ next to you. This worked perfectly with my previous Sony Ericsson W995 phone however now I have the GSII these two things happen: -
1) I might be imagining it but I think I hear crackling in the music when playing over the bluetooth, might just be my speakers but can't remember conciously hearing and noting this to myself on my old phone and when my mate connects his 3GS iPhone to it there doesn't seem to be this problem?
2) There are definite, noteworthy interruptions in the playback over the sound system however the music hasn't been paused on the phone and so I miss bits of the songs! This is both unusual and annoying as you can imagine!
