i have issues trying to connect my sg 11 to my parrot bluetooth in my van,ive had many phones which have connected no probs and synced my contacts to straight away,even my iphone worked hassle free,i've just upgraded to a nice shiney galaxy 2,which is excellent i must say,just 1 gripe,it will connect to my parrot,but i cant sync my contacts,so no phone book access

I've just got my new Galaxy S2 and am quite impressed. From mucking about with it, I've sync'd all my Gmail and Yahoo accounts without issue. Then, I tried to sync my Outlook account, but it keeps failing?My outlook is my own privtae Outlook (Pop3) account from home - so not on a work server or network. I've entered all the details, passwords, pop & smtp, etc. but it won't work?nyone got any ideas on how I can complete this? I want to pick up my Outlook emails on the go as it's my main contact email for business and 1000's of people have this address. (Not worried about my contacts or anything just yet, I can always merge these to a Gmail account, but I'm lost without my email.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just got a new SGS2. I've paired it with a VW Passat from 2011. Everything is working fine except transferring the contact list, only around half of the contacts get transferred -- 125 of 205. I can't find out why some contacts get transferred and others don't. Before I had a Palm Pre 2 and it worked just fine... all contacts would transfer perfectly.
I've unpair the connection several times in the Bluetooth settings, delete the connection in the car and pair again but didn't solve the problem. I've also update some of the key contacts that don't get synced, forced a reload of the contact list in the car menu but nothing works.
The bluetooth handsfree connects and pairs with my samsung s6 however it won't import the contacts, it keeps saying no contacts found but they are all on the device. The car dealer says it's an issue with the samsung security so I went to where I got the phone from and they can't see an issue and say it's an issue with the handsfree!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to pair my SII to a motorola T325 speakerphone. It pairs fine but when it goes to download my phonebook it does not work. "Phonebook access request" shows up at the top of the phone screen but then nothing happens. I then attempted to put the speakerphone into manual mode and send the vCards over from the SII but when I attempt that it says ContactName.vcf not sent. I have reset the speakerphone to factory already. I have also tried deleting all pairings on the SII and re-pairing the speakerphone, nothing works. Speakerphone downloads phonebook from other phones fine. I need the contacts in this speakerphone so I know who I'm getting calls from at work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am trying to get my Jabra Freeway to operate correctly with my SGSII.Although in my list of contacts on my phone I have configured the settings to only show one set of contacts, (the ones I sync with google) my Jabra Freeway sees the other two sets of contacts. The ones on my sim card and the ones (I think) on my phone).How can I get rid of the sim and phone contacts but just keep the ones synced with Google so that when I try and make a voice operated call via my Jabra Freeway, I am not told I have 3 contacts with the name I want to call.

I installed the Yahoo mail app so that I could sync my Yahoo contacts to the HTC. On my phone I have unchecked all the Contacts except for Yahoo(my main contact list) in the People App. On the phone everything is fine. I have checked "Last Name First, so that all my contacts are listed by last name. Now the issue is when I connect my phone to my car through Bluetooth. When I view my phone list on the car, the vast vast majority of my contacts are listed 4 or 5 times. In addition, all my contacts are listed by First name, not last name on the car.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently updated my GS2 i9100 from GB to ICS (4.03) as provided by my carrier (Bell). I am able to pair the phone and media audio with my car stereo (Hyundai Sonata) however I get the message "Unfortunately bluetooth share has stopped" every time it tries to download my contacts to the car. This appears after a minute or so. This was not an issue with GB as it downloaded seamlessly and I was able to use the built in voice calling feature of my car with no problems.The first time the download was tried, the phone rebooted. Since then I have removed the pairing from the phone and car and started over, as well as removed all synced accounts from my contacts except those actually on the phone. Still no luck.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got a new 32 gig micro sd card. I tried to use media monkey to sync my music to it, it did a few then stopped. Phone needs to be rebooted as mtp application seems to lock it up.I then tried the same via the Kies program and the same happened, did a few more this time, maybe 5 albums then just 4 songs then stops and phone has hung again.

Then when I switched to the Galaxy s6, my calendar again didn't sync. Any settings I'm missing? I do have sync calendar in both Google and Samsung account enabled but it's not carrying over.

View 3 Replies View RelatedLove the phone - just got a really irritating problem. I've synced my phone with my gmail account - the My Contacts list has my key contact email addresses. Then I have multiple groups within gmail account relating to work emails etc, nearly 500 odd.
On the phone, when I click my 'Contacts' button, initially it showed all my phone number contacts, as well all google email contacts mixed with them. I corrected this by going to 'display options' to select 'display only contacts with phone numbers', so that I didn't have to trawl through random email addresses mixed with my proper phone contacts. Great, sorted.
But, when I go to compose a text message - if it is to one or two specific contacts it is fine...I just type their name and it comes up. If I want to scroll through all my phone contacts to send the same message to multiple contacts, big problem - I press that envelope button in the top right corner next to 'enter recipient', and it takes me to the Contacts list, but here it still shows ALL 600 odd contacts with phone contacts still mixed with google email contacts, which is impossible to scroll through and select multiple people to send a text message to....Does anyone know how to sort this out?!??!
Kies 3 always crashes with an "Unknown Error" when trying to sync my Outlook 2007 calendar. Contacts and Tasks sync okay.
I've literally spent hours on the phone with Samsung (lack of) technical support with no resolution. They are in fact blaming Outlook claiming that this "Unknown Error" is an Outlook error and not a Kies 3 error (I doubt that). Their other suggestion is a factory reset on the phone which I don't want to do or to try another PC.
Using Windows 7 Pro, latest updates to Kies 3 and latest firmware updated today on the phone.
Ok, so when I am in the compose message view I start typing a name to send a message to and the phone shows me all numbers for that contact, even if I deleted that number... for example say my contact Lewis upgrades and gets a new number, I edit his contact, deleting the old number and replacing it with the new. Then when I type LEW into the compose message "to" section it shows all numbers ever stored under that name, if you know what I mean..? So i am typing someones name getting multiple numbers even if they only have 1 number to there name.This also seems to be the case if someone registers a number to FB and I overwrite that number with a new number

Is there anyway round this apart from sending the info to my laptop first and then to the printer? I would prefer to go direct (I've tried using USB cable connection but get same message).
I spent ages yesterday individually connecting each phone contact to their fb account and then today all of a sudden they all just dissapeared again! I don't want every fb 'friend' to appear in my phonebook, so how on earth do I do this so that it's not going to delete them all each day. This phone won't defeat me, it has such good reviews so I am baffled why I am having problems.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a 2012 bmw 5 series. I can pair the phones but after about 2 minutes it losses pairing. I noticed that the phone contacts never download beyond 3 contacts(I have over 1,000) so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I called bmw service and they were totally unaware of what to do.
Also media is not supported! When connected texts and music will not show or stream.
I have my car paired with my S2 Bluetooth. The other day I connected the speaker out on the S2 to the audio-in on the car stereo. I received a call while listening to an audio book on the phone. The car muted the audio in and answered the call. I could not hear the person calling. I think the phone was trying to send the sound out the speaker rather than the Bluetooth. When I don't have the phone speaker connected, Bluetooth works correctly.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I put it in the car dock the voice controls work great, and when I navigate the voice from the phone is fine. I have bluetooth built into my car, and so when I enable bluetooth, I can now make calls on the phone using the car's voice controls, and I can hear the calls over the car's speakers, but I lose all voice functionality on the phone. That is, I can no longer speak to the phone and get it to respond, even though it's on the voice-activation screen. There is also no voice from the phone, for example in navigation. It doesn't come from the phone nor from the car's speakers. As soon as I turn bluetooth off, all that functionality comes back.
Any ideas on how to rectify this? I'd like to hear the navigation through the car's speakers ideally, or otherwise, at least be able to hear it from the phone's speakers and have the phone respond to voice commands while having bluetooth enabledSecondary issue: there's no more alert for received text messages when I get one with my Galaxy. My previous phone worked fine, so I know it's not a car system issue. This is less important, but I'm still curious.
A short time ago i upgraded to firmware I9100BUKI1 and today i tried to use Bluetooth for the first time since then to send a file. When the sending was half finished the phone restarted and then it kept restarting once a minute (basically right after turning on).So i turned it off completely and then turned it back on and it seems to be fine. View 4 Replies View RelatedI got a new (2012) car with BlueTooth. When I initiate pairing, I'm asked for 4-digit code displayed on the car. But before I can enter that code, the formular/screen exits and it says "Unable to connect" on my SGS2. Tried it 10 times with same result. After that it does actually connect (and works) with phone. But the music streaming is not an option. My other car has a Sony stereo which the SGS2 connects just fine to, both phone and music.i guess it's a compatibility issue between ICS BT and my new car's BT. What can I do besides cry at the car-dealer (where he will laugh and tell me to get another phone)?
