View 2 RepliesI've tried Samsung PC Studio 7 with no luck - it will not recognize my phone. Have changed USB phone settings to Modem as I read in a thread somewhere, still no luck.
I don't have texting, don't use internet on the phone, so I can't email them to the phone.
I was able to transfer mp3's via. the USB cable & sync with Windows Media player, that works great, but I can't get them to set as a ringtone...
Is the only "free" way to put ringtones on this phone is to use a SD card? If so, how is that accomplished?
I was trying to transfer a ringtone from a Samsung phone onto my BB. After a successful pairing, the Samsung phone displayed a "failed transfer" message on its screen. I tried to transfer a file from my BB to that same phone at it was a success.

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust got new Intensity. After activating and playing around with it for awhile, I updated the software through the "Phone Info" menu. This appears to have worked, everything on the phone still works fine, however there is now an "AA" on the middle left side of the home screen. It even rotates to middle left with the screen when you slide out the keyboard. When bringing up Menu's it disappears, but is always back on the home screen when you return. Have tried changing wallpapers, verified that no banners were turned on. Have tried power cycling the phone several times, no luck getting rid of it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedHas anyone figured out how to get stereo sound out of the 2.5 mm jack on a Samsung Intensity? I have obtained several different "stereo" adapters for 3.5 mm headphones, and I still get either mono sound or sound out of only one channel.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI got a samsung intensity and I was wondering how to transfer a image(to be a wallpaper) from the pc to the phone? I tried to use the data cable it came with (the usb cord), and also the samsung pc studio. But I guess I can't figure it out. Also, can I set seperate ringstones for my contacts? I tried, but they are still all the same.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI formatted, then put a couple of songs on it to test it out. The phone recognized and played them, so then I added the rest of my music to the memory card. There's about 14 gb on the card now, so it's almost full. The phone also accurately tells me that there's about 14gb of the memory card that's occupied. BUT The music player now only puts a small portion of all those songs into its playlist, I would say it only plays about 2 gb out of the total 14 gb. I also cannot choose which songs get put on the playlist. I am on Telus, NOT Verizon, by the way. Why can't I access ALL my music in the music player?
Is there a maximum to the number of songs in the mp3 playlist that I wasn't aware of? Did I buy the wrong memory card?
Have tried holding various keys in an attempt to access a BIOS screen or some such thing to no avail (why aren't cell phones more like computers?). As for how my phone got to this state...
-I wanted to add custom ring tones to my recently purchased Samsung Intensity but found that texting them to myself via vzwpix.com led to a significant decrease in quality and the costs would quickly add up as I attempted to fix the issue by editing the sound files in Audacity and texting newer versions to my phone
-To get around using vzwpix.com, I found a method of putting the files directly on the phone by installing the phones drivers to my computer using Samsung PC Studio 3 and moving them directly to the phone using Qualcomm Product Support Tools. The method is copy+pasted below for reference
-After a while I got the ring tone to how I wanted it and went to delete the experimentation files on the phone. I had done this in the past through the phone's interface without issue (though an attempted file rename had caused a quick freeze which was solved by removing and replacing the battery), but this time it froze when attempting to delete the final file
-The phone would not respond to any keypad presses including the power button, so I chose to restart the phone by removing and putting back in the battery
-The phone will no longer pass the "Verizon Wireless" screen and reboots after hanging on that screen for ~7 seconds
Pasted below is the complete method I used to transfer the files for reference. Other smarter methods may exist, but given the issue I had with vzwpix.com, my lack of a mircoSD card, and my desire to avoid media messaging charges I elected to go with this method. Credit goes to ch from the Mobiledia forums for figuring this out and typing this up. It works beautifully aside from the issue I have had. I suggest that anyone who chooses to use it remove sound files from the phone only through QPST and not through the phone's interface.
Software required:
1.Samsung PC Studio
2. QPST (Or other software to allow you to browse the phone's file system)
1. Install Samsung PC Studio (Will only be used to install drivers for the intensity)
2. Change USB Port Map to "Modem" on your phone
a. Go to Settings & Tools > Phone Info > and then press the # button.
b. Enter 000000 for the lock code.
c. Select option 2 "Port Map"
d. Select option 4 "USB"
e. Select option 4 "Modem"
3. Plug phone into usb port.
4. Go to device manager and install drivers for the unidentified devices
a. The drivers will be located in C:Program Files SamsungSamsung PC Studio 3
5. Start QPST EFS Explorer
6. Browse to brewmodmr on the phone
7. Delete MrInfo.db
8. Drag and drop your mp3 ringtone files into this directory
9. Restart the phone.
10. A new MrInfo.db file will be created. Copy it to your desktop.
11. Edit the file with notepad. You should see an entry for each sound file in the directory, followed by |0|0 or something like that. For the first file change the second 0 to a 2. For the next file change that same zero to a 3, and so on. I guess the second zero just needs to be a 2, 3, or 4.
12. Copy MrInfo.db back to the phone in same directory.
13. Reboot the phone and your mp3 will show up under the "My Ringtones" menu.
This phone is so slippery! I can't seem to use it without throwing it on the floor, which I have done about a dozen times now. My other phone was a Motorola with a soft grip rubber built into the case, very easy to hold on to.
What is a solution here? Any recommendations on how to gold on to it? I was thinking of some type of case, maybe a neoprene rubber type that would allow easy access to the buttons/functions, but thought I would ask some folks who may have already experienced this problem.
I just got the Samsung Intensity for Verizon. Everything is great except for one critical thing. I download audibooks from my local library which come as DRM protected WMA files. They play just fine BUT if I exit the music player (to make a call, or just put it away for a while) when I bring it up again, it does not remember its place and goes back to the beginning of the file. This is crippling when you have 72 minute "songs" since you can't be scanning to find your old place every time. With non-protected WMA's even of the same length,it remembers it's place just fine. Also, on my old Samsung Juke it was not a problem. I asked Verizon tech support and they are forwarding my issue to Samsung. I am hoping they will come out with a fix, but they easily could just ignore a complaint from one lone user. Is this a problem that other people have seen? What are the chances that Samsung will actually produce a fix? Is there a workaround to get it to remember its place in a protected WMA?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just got a new SGS2. I've paired it with a VW Passat from 2011. Everything is working fine except transferring the contact list, only around half of the contacts get transferred -- 125 of 205. I can't find out why some contacts get transferred and others don't. Before I had a Palm Pre 2 and it worked just fine... all contacts would transfer perfectly.
I've unpair the connection several times in the Bluetooth settings, delete the connection in the car and pair again but didn't solve the problem. I've also update some of the key contacts that don't get synced, forced a reload of the contact list in the car menu but nothing works.
Why i can't received my file with saving it on my media card ? but i can save with my device memory, when i tried to save on my media card, come out this word "Transfer Failed. See the manual for your Bluetooth hands-free device"I've reboot my Blackberry and i tried again and again, it still can't worked.

I got a problem with the bluetooth. I can send files with it but I can't receive them. My phone can be seen by everyone when bluetooth are active, I accept the file that other people want to share and then a message such as "connection failed" or similar, appear on the phone of the other people. Someone told me that I should reset the phone, is it the right solution? Is a backup necessary before the reset? I need to transfer some job files.
View 9 Replies View RelatedThis is my second Atrix. It is failing to turn on its' Bluetooth radio. I go to Settings > Wireless & Networks > Bluetooth (and Bluetooth Settings) and try to turn Bluetooth on. It indicates that it's turning on Bluetooth and then it fails, returning to the "Turn on bluetooth" message. I've rebooted, done a battery pull, tried to turn it on from Airplane mode...everything short of a factory reset (because I really really really don't want to set this thing up from scratch again!).
View 4 Replies View Relatedif as a result of Android 4.3 upgrade to HTC One if they have made the vibration intensity less than before. The reason I ask is because I have been given a new model of HTC One (original one broke) but this new one's vibration intensity is rubbish!! Wasn't too sure if it was the phone or whether HTC had pulled down the notification intensity as it was really strong before.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI accepted doing it, so it backed-up some of my data and started the installation. The progress bar remained at 0% for more than 40 minutes and I became suspicious that it was not working. I tried interrupting with the cancel button and that didn't work, so the only way was to remove the cable (yes there were warnings not to do it... still I assumed that this scenario would have been foreseen). Kies woke up with the interruption and asked if I wanted to do an emergency firmware recovery, I said yes and proceeded with it. It gave me some instructions to switch off the phone, replace battery, and remove the cable. I switched the phone off and on again and there appeared a symbol representing the loss of connection to the PC, so I re-connected. The recovery started fine, but half way through it, it failed due to a problem on the phone. Since then the phone is dead. It won't start anymore.
