View 2 RepliesJust upgraded my S2 to XWKI4 via Kies.Since then I can't see a way of safely disconnecting the USB connection on the phone when it's connected to the PC.reviously I have pressed the home button to disconnect but I can only see a USB symbol at the top of the phone display now. Do I just pull the cable now?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIll enable wi-fi, go back to it 3-4 mins later and it is greyed out (disconnected). I have to keep enabling it and this is getting annoying.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThis just started happening after the latest 2 firmware updates. Uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI used the phone this morning, to check the horoscope widget it came with. It worked and then the battery said it needed to recharge. I plugged it in, it was on there for a good hour. I had to go to work, and unplugged it. I went to the car and turned the phone off, as we need to reboot it from time to time. When it came back on, all it would show is the R560/Samsung logo loading bar screen, over and over and over... I am now dizzy from looking at it. It will not go into base mode to reprogram, it won't turn off again, it won't show battery charging if I plug it in. Simply, it will continue to reboot, again, and again and again. Called Cricket.com, who "refreshed" my phone and reset my voicemail (just to get me off the line, Im sure) to no avail. Then they told me I should go to corporate Cricket store to have it serviced. It is an hour away from me!
View 1 Replies View Relatedi use Samsung galaxy s2 with the latest firmware version from Samsung kies (ginger bread 2.3.5) , the problem occurred after installing external SD card and move bunch of apps to it,i tried removing the external sd card from my device, the device stoped rebooting, when i insert it again the device keeps rebooting over and over, the problem is obviosley is moving apps to SD card, i tried to delete the content of the file (andro secure) in SD crad this file includes the moved applications from phone memory to external sd, the problem also stoped
its one of the two: 1- android do not accept lots of apps in external sd or 2- there is a problem in a specific app in external sd which make the phone rebooting over and over but i don't know which app is causing the issue because i have lots of apps installed !
my s2 has just started rebooting itself over and over and im not sure what steps to take so asking for some kind advice please.
I updated to ICS via kies around 12.30 this afternoon from gingerbread (after backing up my phone). My phone is branded vodafone but unlocked and is using an o2 Sim.I cant tell you any build numbers etc. The furthest the phone boots is as follows... turn on, the booting logo, sim card unlock pin, pattern unlock screen, once unlocked the screen is black, after 30 seconds or so, it reboots and does the same again but minus my sim unlock screen. It reboots to the pattern lock screen instead.Ive barely used it all day other than to take a look at whats new, i was about to begin a txt message when it randomly rebooted and just restarts.
So far this has happened 3 times:I was listening to music on the phone and then suddenly it stoped and played the startup music. When I unlocked the phone it had a blank screen and only a couple of icons at the top, one being the battery indicator. A few seconds later and its fully rebooted with signal strength etc
View 7 Replies View RelatedI went to settings and then About Phone. Subsequently, I checked for updates and after that I tried updating my phone. The file size was around 12 MB after which it proceeded with rebooting the phone. Unfortunately my phone is not getting rebooted after the software update. It is stuck with the screen showing "Samsun Galaxy S2 GT-19100G". The welcome note with the music screen is also not appearing.

View 1 Replies View Relatedwhen I have tethered for a while, if I reboot the phone afterwards, my battery drops by around 30% just on the reboot. For example, if I have 44% left after tethering and then reboot by pressing and holding the power button until the phone reboots, by the time it's finished booting (which isn't long) it has dropped to 14% and it tells me to plug the charger in. If I don't plug the charger in (this is a real mystery this bit), every few minutes, the battery will keep increasing by 1%. This is without really using the phone much that it does this. It will keep regaining that 1% every few mins until I reboot the phone again and it remains at whatever it's got up to during that time.
I'm ringing Samsung tomorrow as I am pretty sure this isn't normal behaviour. However, I would like to ask if somebody might be kind enough to tether for about half an hour or so with their s2, then reboot (using power button and holding it til phone auto reboots) and tell me if you also lose more power. And then of course, see if it starts to creep up again.I know that's quite a big ask and would only advise somebody with truly unlimited data to try it as tethering consumes a lot.Bear in mind that tethering also drains battery anyway so make sure you have at least 60% prior to trying this just in case you lose the power too.
This has only started to happen today since I agreed to a system update. I have tried a factory reset and wiped the cache but it is still happening.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have recently been experiencing trouble with connecting my Blackberry Storm 9530 (OS5) to my PC. It worked a while ago, it started when I connected it to a different USB port on PC, I tried connecting it back to the old port but it didn't work. So what it does is it connects first, then disconnects then reconnects, then it repeats the disconnecting and reconnecting really fast.
I have reboot both my PC and my Blackberry, and also removed and reinserted the MicoSD card. It still does the same. I have tried repairing the Device Memory and Media Card/memory, still does the same. I haven't experienced this before, only when I changed the USB port on my PC (also doesn't work on the old USB port I used).
My WiFi keeps disconnecting from my home and college networks. When I go to reconnect it says beside the networks that they're poor connections. My home network I have 3-4 bars of WiFi constantly with 12mbs and the college network stays in the 3-4 signal range with 45mbs.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've always seemed to have had problems with my Galaxy phones when connecting them to a PC and considered going to another phone before I upgraded to my S6.
This is a problem that has happened with my S2/S3/S6 with both different leads and different computers. Connecting it to update or transfer music, files etc. can take a while as it keeps disconnecting all the time.
I'm not a fan of iPhones but my girlfriend never seems to have a problem when connecting hers to this and other computers.
My S6 connects fine to my car. However, it keeps disconnecting even if im not using it. I didn't have this issue before on my Note 4. This is a software or hardware issue before i return it ?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy iphone keeps disconnecting/reconnecting to my pc laptop. Sometimes it connects to itunes and usually it doesnt. When it does connect to itunes it automatically tries to back up and sync but disconnects during the syncing process. I have just purchased an expensive AirPlay sound system, and to my dismay, the connection keeps dropping out when using it with my iPhone 4s. Every so often, when I unlock my phone, it says 3G is connected and not wifi, even when my iPad is still connected and so is every other device. I am using an iPhone 4s running iOS 8.

It doesn't matter if I am at work or at home. Lately my iphone disconnects from Wifi. Just started this recently.

Ever since the latest IOS update (7.1.2), my iPhone does not auto connect to my car bluetooth anymore. I have to manually go into Bluetooth settings and click on it to connect. It may or may not connect. If I do get it connected, it will all of a sudden disconnect from the car bluetooth without me doing anything. It used to auto connect and load the phonebook and stay connected. Now, once I manually connect it, it does not load the phonebook after connecting unless I push the button on my car like I am going to make a call. It then will say "Downloading Phone Book" and then disconnect. I might be able to make 1 call, but then it will disconnnect.Â
I have already done a factory reset as well as remove my iPhone from the car bluetooth (so my car doesn't have any bluetooth paired to it) and paired it again many times but I am still having the same problem. It was working perfectly before the latest update.

Everything was working fine on my N8, but it just started to select an accessory as defult and after that is selected, it won't go back to normal.
If you connect the headphones, and they dissconect them, it keeps thinking that they are connected and the loudspeaker doesn't work, during calls I can't hear anything..
I went into settings-> phone-> accessories -> and the defult is set to headset.. but once I select headphones (which i didn't have to do before) it never goes back when I restard the phone, it shows the headphones icon, but there are no headphones connected to the phone..
My telephone keeps disconnecting after about 20-25 seconds of phone time.It happens 90% of the time. Doesn't matter who I'm talking to or where I am.I have tried restoring the operating system from the unofficial releases to the current bell .423 release.I have tried full format. I have even had the store exchange for a new phone (just today). Still the same problem. Calling Bell they told me to send it in for repair (which is why I got the store to exchange). The only constant now seems to be the SIM card. Could the SIM card be causing this problem? Anyone have any ideas? I've also gotten some messages on reboots unable to connect to rim_blackberry_phone app. This seems like it could be related too, no??
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have just taken possession of my very first blackberry, and the instructions are minimal. How do I disconnect from the internet? I have just been pressing and holding the escape button, is that all I do? Are there any icons on screen that show if you are still connected?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI am using BB Curve 8520, I use gprs which normally works fine. But gprs generally gets disconnected while I move up and down in my office using the lift. i.e. when the mobile network gets disconnected/connected, internet connection fails to work. It starts working fine again if I do a reboot of the BB, which generally takes minutes.
