Trying out Milestone in home. Keeps disconnecting from wifi have to keep checking it and reconnecting. Btw, is there an app that gives a wifi symbol at the top of the screen? Wifi works perfectly with my laptop.

View 3 Replies View Relatedis there anything i can do to improve flash video playback? after the 2.2 update i was excited to be able to use flash on my phone, but video playback on it seems so bad that it's unwatchable.it's like a slideshow at best, and at worse i'm only getting one frame every thirty seconds or so. oddly enough the sound never skips or stutters at all.i've tried it over wifi and 3g. Internet videos in the native app and other non-flash streaming media seem to work perfectly.i'm using the stock browser with flash player 10.2.157.51 (the latest one available in the android market), and i've tried several different videos linked from m.flash.com
View 4 Replies View RelatedI updated my Milestone which is UAE version to Froyo yesterday after a long delay, was really excited all evening until i discovered two problems with my wifi.The Device does not connect to the corporate network as my office uses 802.1x EAP and there is no place to enter proxy where as my friends using samsung galaxy s (Froyo 2.2) connect to the network and browse using the wifi advanced settings to enter the proxy in their device.

But after some minute It restart with a blank screen then reboot to OS and MSU says update failed. My last resort is to flash it via RSDLITE but when im trying to get into bootloader it shows blank screen then reboot to OS. I cant enter to my bootloader.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHave a brand new install of Windows 7 64bit and a 6 month old Milestone 2 which has always succesfully connected to PC/Mac in USB mass storage mode, but when trying to connect to new Windows & PC the PC tries to install MTP drivers that fail.Solution is to select the failed device in device manager and manually install the driver selecting the device as a USB mass storage device and not the default MTP device.
View 4 Replies View RelatedAfter spending 2 hours on the forums and 2 hrs on motorola website, downloading the motorola software update and finding that the updater says that your phone is up to date with 2.1 (where as the motorola site says 2.2 is now available) and browsing thru unending discussions, I was unable to update my Motorola milestone to Android 2.2. I last week sent my phone to the service center to ask them to update it to 2.2, they returned the phone saying it is up to date.I am sick of removing applications and always worrying about the remaining ROM availability. View 3 Replies View RelatedI was recently given a LG HBS-700 Bluetooth headset which I love but I have been having problems a few times a day with it disconnecting while I listen to music. After it disconnects it will be silent then my music will blare out the phone which I hurridly pause/mute so not to disturb my co-workers and get in trouble with my boss. Sometimes it will re-connect on its own or I manually turn off the headset and turn back on and it will be fine. It maybe happens twice a day. It has even happened while on a call before but not alot which I dont talk alot on the phone. I use it pretty much all day while at work. I have asked LG support about it but they have 'no known issues' and suggested I check with Motorola to see if this phone should be compatible with the headset.

It's all but shy of disconcerting that their only "solutions" are to a.) find a attwifi hotspot to see if it still does it or b.) trade it in for a new one.
Okay, so I tried the first solution. Drove to McDonald's... no avail. Wouldn't even connect at all. I also tried a master reset, tweaked my wifi router settings, and still standing not even 20 feet from the router it still disconnects constantly. At best, it stays connected for 30+ minutes, and that's when I'm actually talking on the phone.
I have been having this issue ever siince updating to Gingerbread (and the subsequent fix yesterday). When I disconnect my Droid X from my computer, the SD card does not remount and is greyed out when I go to settings to try and fix it. It also erases any app shortcut that is on the home screens that is housed on the SD card. It worked fine when I had Froyo.

When I open up wifi settings it sees my network, as usual, and then I have to select it to "connect". Which I do. It scans to connect and then, within seconds, disconnects. It will keep scanning and I see my network there and could repeat this process over 100 times with the same results.

I sent it back for repairs at least 2 times and now it will be going back again today for the same problems plus a new one ...it won't charge up. Having this phone is very bad for my business. Why can't someone repair my phone instead of sending me someone elses troubled phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a RAZR MAXX HD with a bluetooth issue from the start. When in my car the bluetooth disconnects every one minute, reconnects immediately and stays on for about two minutes. Then again disconnects, reconnects, stays on for one minute, then disconnects. So the bluetooth is totally useless. It it illegal to talk on a phone in a car without handsfree in our state, so I have a MOBILE phone that won't work while being MOBILE.
When this happens it also disconnects service to the 3.5mm jack, so I have to make sure the Bluetooth is turned off. But when I plug it in the charge and then disconnect to leave in the morning, the bluetooth is turned back on. I'm spending more time resetting stuff on this phone. I've never had such a buggy phone. I've tried turning off Wi-Fi. The car is a 2010 Genisis, which with the old Droid phone worked perfect.
My wi-fi keeps disconnecting and reconnecting constantly. It keeps losing the connection and then cycles back on. It does this every few seconds and won't keep a steady connection. It seems to have started with the update to ICS.

It doesn't happen with every call but is frequent enough to make me wonder if there is a problem with my phone.The phone still shows that I am in "active call" status even after I've pressed the disconnect button up to as many as 5 times.Customer svc. at store told me to try shutting the phone off periodically and maybe it will reset; however it isn't like I leave it on continuously.
View 15 Replies View Relatedjust finished my run on the .73 version for the first time. The device battery definitely lasts a little bit longer -- still dies close to 3 hours. Won't last all the way through my marathon training.That said, a couple of other things also happened. I added the Garmin foot pod to the devices linked to the MOTOACTV. I also have the Jaybird Freedom 3 as a bluetooth headset connected. Two things happened:
1. Approx 1.25mi into the run, i went to look down at the watch and it stopped tracking. I didn't hear anything in my ear -- no "workout stopped/paused" nothing. I heard it "workout started" when I began.
2. With the Garmin foot pod my avg. pace was higher -- than using the MOTOACTV without a pod (just the gps) -- is that normal?
3. About mid-way through the run, my music stopped -- i looked down at the MOTOACTV and noticed the bluetooth icon was gone (i.e., disconnected). I'm not sure why, i checked my headset and it was still on.

Screen shows some lines n then when i press the screen lock button the screen goes black and the shortcut screen still glows.Phone recieves the call and if i press the volume button it correctly vibrates and beeps. I have tried formatting, flashing from the service centre everything. The people here in service centre are dumb. They say that the fone have problem in flex, but My phone used to work fine when I had 2.1.

From day 1 (two weekends ago), when I pair the phone to my Mercedes Benz 2008 (with 2010 bluetooth cradle to replace analog phone), and walk away the phone believes it is still connected (see status under wireless & network settings, bluetooth devices list)
This causes problems, such as when I receive calls the ear speaker is turned off and I cannot hear caller, or making calls the ear speaker is off.
When I later return to the car, the razr shows it is still paired (under bluetooth devices list) while the car says the phone is turned off. Need to power off/on to reset.
Called for support.
Verizon Tech believes that my car has a problem, the "car bluetooth is too old", can't keep supporting bluetooth devices that are 4+ years old
Motorola tech had me go to manage apps / bluetooth share / storage / clear data. Did not resolve problem. Need to try with another phone.
I bought my brand new Motorola Atrix 2, a week back in India and am facing a peculiar problem with the phone. I am on Vodafone network and have a 3G plan with them, but my phone does not connect to the 3G network at all.
After reading several posts in the forum, I found out that it was a software problem with the phone and I had to install a 3rd party software from the Google Play site called "Network" to solve the problem.I also upgraded my software to ICS and that happened smoothly but my wifi is also not stable and keeps disconnecting every 3 to 4 minutes? Is there anyone who can help me with this as well.
so i recently just got the milestone and it connects to wifi fine and all.. the connection is okay, but when i try to disconnect from what im connected to, the wifi freezes and it stays on "turning off"it doesnt go away until i restart the phone.
