I have been having this issue ever siince updating to Gingerbread (and the subsequent fix yesterday). When I disconnect my Droid X from my computer, the SD card does not remount and is greyed out when I go to settings to try and fix it. It also erases any app shortcut that is on the home screens that is housed on the SD card. It worked fine when I had Froyo.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Wi-Fi Xoom with 32G of internal storage and Android 3.2. When I insert a 16G SanDisk Class 4 micro SD card and power up,I am unable to mount the card. I go to Settings>Storage, and get an error message, with the option to Force Close or Send Report. Most of the time, the app closes itself with no action on my part. If I insert the SD card while the Xoom is powered on, I get a different problem. I am able to get to the storage setting, and there is an option to mount the card. However, pressing on that option doesn't cause anything to happen. The card is formatted as FAT32. I have copied some files to it on my PC, and the files are there when I connect the card back to the PC. I've checked the board here, and not seen this problem addressed.
View 13 Replies View RelatedI inserted a new 32gb Sandisk card. I am notified that the SD card is blank or has an unsupported file system. I try to mount the card. It says on top:"Blank SD card". I then press Format SD Card. It says Erase the card .. Ok ..then Erase everything. I turned off the phone ... turned back on but no change.
I have tried to connect via PC Mode etc but the computer finds the card, i.e. gives it a letter, (e:) and I can browse D: (the main phone memory but that's it. Cannot be mounted or formatted.
I just bought a 32Gb Sandisk Class 4 microSD card off dailysteals (same place I bought my Xoom). I plugged it in and the Xoom does nothing with it. I can't see it and when I go to storage screen and touch Mount SD Card, nothing happens. When I plug the Xoom into my laptop via USB, laptop only sees internal memory, not microSD. I was previously using a Sandisk 8Gb microSD that worked fine

View 3 Replies View RelatedYesterday, saw message that Verizon had OTA ICS on my phone...said upgrade would talk 15 minutes and reboot.45 minutes later, all I see is emergency dialer. time to power down and reboot...still just emergency dialer. Called verizon support...after a couple more reboots, tech says do factory reset. This works (although after downloading all my apps during the day, the phone, when rebooted to try to fix the microSD issue, went back into Emergency Dial only mode and I did yet another factory reset...ugggghhh!.)o after perusing the forums, I find that the encryption key is genereated using the MEID (by default, I don't remember which I used when I set the encryption, not that it matters). and is stored on that nice internal storage that gets wiped during the factory reset. So now, the ICS Razr will not mount the microSD card (I am sure, based on the other forums I have visited, that my data is in a better, unusable, place).
View 7 Replies View RelatedI was recently given a LG HBS-700 Bluetooth headset which I love but I have been having problems a few times a day with it disconnecting while I listen to music. After it disconnects it will be silent then my music will blare out the phone which I hurridly pause/mute so not to disturb my co-workers and get in trouble with my boss. Sometimes it will re-connect on its own or I manually turn off the headset and turn back on and it will be fine. It maybe happens twice a day. It has even happened while on a call before but not alot which I dont talk alot on the phone. I use it pretty much all day while at work. I have asked LG support about it but they have 'no known issues' and suggested I check with Motorola to see if this phone should be compatible with the headset.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a RAZR MAXX HD with a bluetooth issue from the start. When in my car the bluetooth disconnects every one minute, reconnects immediately and stays on for about two minutes. Then again disconnects, reconnects, stays on for one minute, then disconnects. So the bluetooth is totally useless. It it illegal to talk on a phone in a car without handsfree in our state, so I have a MOBILE phone that won't work while being MOBILE.
When this happens it also disconnects service to the 3.5mm jack, so I have to make sure the Bluetooth is turned off. But when I plug it in the charge and then disconnect to leave in the morning, the bluetooth is turned back on. I'm spending more time resetting stuff on this phone. I've never had such a buggy phone. I've tried turning off Wi-Fi. The car is a 2010 Genisis, which with the old Droid phone worked perfect.
Anyone else having problems with their RAZR not disconnecting when a bluetooth device goes out of range?
From day 1 (two weekends ago), when I pair the phone to my Mercedes Benz 2008 (with 2010 bluetooth cradle to replace analog phone), and walk away the phone believes it is still connected (see status under wireless & network settings, bluetooth devices list)
This causes problems, such as when I receive calls the ear speaker is turned off and I cannot hear caller, or making calls the ear speaker is off.
When I later return to the car, the razr shows it is still paired (under bluetooth devices list) while the car says the phone is turned off. Need to power off/on to reset.
Called for support.
Verizon Tech believes that my car has a problem, the "car bluetooth is too old", can't keep supporting bluetooth devices that are 4+ years old
Motorola tech had me go to manage apps / bluetooth share / storage / clear data. Did not resolve problem. Need to try with another phone.
I have noticed that my speaker volume is very low after I disconnect from my Bluetooth stereo. It has become a problem because I have missed my alarm the next morning because I don't hear it. I have narrowed it down to the Bluetooth being the issue but I don't know how to fix it. Do I not disconnect correctly?

View 7 Replies View RelatedJust upgraded from 444 to Lollipop and now my phone can't see my external 128MB SD Card. I have photographs and videos on this card, so I can't follow any steps to erase it, etc.
When I do select the option to mount SD Card I'm given a message saying it's "Preparing" the card, and then does nothing, nothing has changed. It displays this message and remains in the storage area settings screen.
How do I resolve this so that I can access and use my card?
I'm out of phone memory and need to back up stuff, but I can't find where to mount it.

The micro sd works in my galaxy tab 3 and a friends S4.
The S5 does however recognise the Sandisk 16GB SDHC that came with my galaxy tab.
When I connect an sd card reader to the s5 via the micro usb slot the phone recognises the card???
What else have I have tried.....
1) S5 factory reset of lollipop.
2) Formatting the micro sd
I recently updated my Xperia Neo to ICS 4.0.4.Now, every time i plug in a USB-cable to charge the phone, it also connects the SD-Card with my PC.In 2.3.4 there has been a setting to disable this behavior. Is it possible to do this in ICS? I can't find such a setting.

I removed the SD card and checked it with my PC and everything is fine on that end. I'm at a loss at what to try next. I've already tried restarting in safe mode, and restarting the phone, but still no option to mount an SD card.

I took a few pictures and then hit the power button to shut off the screen, When I later hit the power buttom to wake my wifi xoom, the xoom awoke back into the camera app, however, the screen for the picture was black. I hit the "back" button and it illuminated blue to indicate that I had hit it but it remained blue. It was stuck. I hit "home" and it gave me a message to force close the camera or wait. I force closed it and attempted to restart the camera app. It wouldn't restart so I rebooted the xoom.Now, the camera app starts up and shows a picture, however, I get the subject message "Mount USB Storage Before Using the Camera"

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've noticed recently that my Atrix will no longer unmount the internal storage (either when I select it from SD card & phone storage or when the Atrix is mounted via USB as a USB Mass Storage device). I have no issues with unmounting the external SD card.
When I try unmounting it from SD card & phone storage, it looks like it is going to unmount but doesn't and Unmount internal phone storage turns white again.
Could an app somehow be causing a lock on it somehow? Is there a way to find out which apps are utilizing the internal storage?
Trying out Milestone in home. Keeps disconnecting from wifi have to keep checking it and reconnecting. Btw, is there an app that gives a wifi symbol at the top of the screen? Wifi works perfectly with my laptop.

Motoactv 16gb version. Running on a treadmill the motoactv keeps telling me the footpod is disconnected. It is a brand new garmin footpod and it pairs quickly in setup. I've tried removing it and readding it with the same conclusion.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI purchased my Motorola Droid in November 2009 at a Verizon store. They created a Gmail account for me but I don't know the password. I've never accessed this Gmail account from any other device aside from this Droid. Now my phone died and I can't get my data, specifically my contacts off this phone.
I was able to take out the SD card and back that up. I've tried going thru the normal Gmail steps to recover the password but that has not been successful. The next option is to get this phone repaired. The screen has died on this phone and want to know if it can be repaired. I would like advice on either or both of these options.
