Nokia Nseries :: Headphones Not Disconnecting On N8?
Sep 28, 2011
Everything was working fine on my N8, but it just started to select an accessory as defult and after that is selected, it won't go back to normal.
If you connect the headphones, and they dissconect them, it keeps thinking that they are connected and the loudspeaker doesn't work, during calls I can't hear anything..
I went into settings-> phone-> accessories -> and the defult is set to headset.. but once I select headphones (which i didn't have to do before) it never goes back when I restard the phone, it shows the headphones icon, but there are no headphones connected to the phone..
Software update on phone tells me to go online and get it done there. So I do and it downloads ok, all 272MB of it, but it keeps on disconnecting when trying to install to the N8. The phone switches off and stays off. I leave it for 10 minutes because of a post I seen just to be on the safe side but still nothing.
After I unplugged my headphones today the headphones icon at the top right next to the battery indicator remained. when I take a call I can't hear the person on the other end unless I have headphones plugged in. Also when I play music it won't play on loudspeaker because it thinks headphones are plugged in. i should mention as well that in the past day the phone had trouble recognising when the headphones were plugged in but a quick reset fixed this previously. I've also tried 3 different pairs of headphones.
I have had this phone for 6 months and never had a problem with it before. Is this a hardware or software issue and is there a way to fix it? I've reset the phone as well as hard reset the phone a number of times.
When I am using a headset or a headphone in my N8 and someone calls me or send me a message, I can hear the tone from the headphone and from the phone speaker. So thats's my question: Is that possible to deactivate the tone of the phone speaker when I am using the headset so I can hear it only from the headset?
Anyone having problems with the n8 headphones. For 600 USD, i'm not impressed with the sound quality. The buttons do not work and it sounds like all the music is being played in a tunnel.
this time my headphones are not working when i am attending any calls ..otherwise they r fyn !!while listning to music and radio they are working fine ... but when i attend some calls they don"t work ..
Has anyone experienced issues with their Bluetooth stereo headphones. To be honest I've noticed this problem with different smartphones Pantech Duo (windows mobile) , and now my HTC Inspire (froyo 2.2) and also different types and brands of bluetooth headphones but currently my problem is with the Jabra BT620s. While listening to music they work fine but if i pause the music for a min or 2 the headphones won't reconnect I have to turn them off then back on, or if they are in standby for a while the phone shows they are connected but there is no sound when i restart my music or when a call comes in. I've seen this problem all over the internet but no solutions.
I've just got my new Nokia X6 a few days ago, and thought I'd play around a little with it. I then spotted an issue where I wasn't able to browse the internet (or any other internet application for that matter) without disconnecting the WiFi connection every time I want to load a new website or load a new page in the Ovi Store. The Router I am using is only running 54 Mbps, and I'm now using it with the password disabled, just to try if that changed anything, it didn't. I havn't been able to try using a 3G connection yet, as my service provider has somehow failed at supplying me with it at the moment.
When disconnecting an active call, the phone does not disconnect. It stays connected for another 5~ 10 seconds and need to press the disconnect button few times to come out of the call. Has anybody gone through this and is there a solution?
My 5530XM is acting up again (v.11 firmware). The symptoms are random disconnects from WLAN and, after doing a soft reset, unable to put shortcuts on the home screen (using the Shortcuts theme). I really think the problem is with the memory card because I can't turn the phone on with the card inside.
Is there a way to scan/repair problems with the memory card? I really, really want to avoid a hard reset. Last time I did that, I lost all my apps from the memory card (I have the Games Edition). I can try using PC Suite or Ovi Suite to back up my memory card apps, but I don't trust the suites that much. What I'd like to do is drag and drop my memory card apps to another location in my PC, but I cannot see the memory card apps in Windows Explorer.
When I use a 2.5 (who's ridiculous idea was that, anyway?) to 3.5 converter for my e71x, and have the headphones plugged in all the way, I only get audio out of the right side of the headphones. If I plug the the headphones in just before it clicks in to place, I can get audio out of both sides but since it's not fully plugged in the sound always bounces in and out. I've used multiple converters and headsets, all of which are working properly. Is this a design flaw or do I have a bad one that I need to send in for warranty repair?
When i connect headphone to make or receive call, i cannot hear anything, but other party can hear my voice. i can hear music with same headphones. is there any settings for this? Phone model is Nokia 500
Is it ok to use a normal pair of headphones with the Nokia Lumia 800?
Conventional headphones have a 3.5 mm stereo jack, with three connections. The headphones supplied with the Lumia use a 3.5mm jack with four connections.
My concern is whether using the conventional jack will permanently short-out two of the connections, causing unwanted side-effects or damage to the phone?
I'd also like to use the headphone output to connect the phone to my stereo, which I presume will be fine, as long as the three v four connection jack issue isn't a problem.
Few days ago, I was driving, and I connected headphones to answer the call, but did not heard any sound. The problem was not in hardware of the headphones, because, the music and video player with connected headphones works fine, and I also can hear sounds wile typing on the phone, but when answer, headphones go mute, and mic is working fine. Before that, it was working fine.
I recently brought a new nokia e52 and wantd 2 hear its music quality. I inserted my headphones pin in the jack only half not knowing that it should be fully inserted. I started playing a song but was unable 2 hear anything and it restarted automatically. I tried inserting it fully but it didnt work out until my brother showed me. I did this thrice and the phone restarted thrice. Now it goes fully into the jack. So is there a problem with my phone or is it normal coz now i can insert it fully and listen 2 my music clearly.
They work on my friends iPhone and Blackberry and work fine on my laptop but when I put them on my N900 it sounds like its underwater and its really really distorted BUT if i plug them in half way they play perfectly
i have encountered one more problem this time my headphones are not working when i am attending any call, otherwise they r fyn. while listning to music and radio they are working fine ... but when i attend some calls they don"t work
Bluetooth on the phone is active & connecting to my blacberry/laptop fine. My BH-905i's have been working fine with my N8, but the N9 doesn't see them at all. I have the latest software update.
Last night I was listening to musc on my Lumia 920. I unplugged the headphones and wnet to use the phone a few minutes later. no sound comes out tof the speakers now the headphones sill work great, but it I cannot make a call without my headset now. I know the phone thinks the headphones are plugged in, because the sounds settings allow me to adjust the equalizer (w/o headphones plugged in this option is not available).
my headphones are originaly from nokia, and when sb calls me i can't hear enything in my headphones, and i hear it in my phone. If i want to hear music on my headphones i can hear, but when sb calls me or i call sb the headpones don't work.
Just bought a Nokia E5-00. Although the sound quality is pretty good, the volume in my headphones is low for outside noise (tried 4 pairs, sennheiser, akg, iphone and the ones that came with the phone) . Is there a way to increase the volume in the headphones, or a music player that has an option like that ?
Have just got my new X6 and its great except that i am having problems with my connection to my bluetooth car kit. It connects fine and has paired with it but it seems to disconnecting every 25 seconds or so and then reconnecting 25 seconds later. Its driving me bananas cos each time it does it the radio cuts out. If i am on a call it seems to keep connection. I fell i may have missed a setting somewhere but cant find anything about this.
I'm looking for an adapter for the Nokia E51 that will let me plug my 3.5mm headphones into the 2.5mm jack.
I bought one, but it will only let me hear sound from one channel. I can manage it by adjusting the headphones so that they don't go all the way into the adapter, but all that does is to let me listen to the sound on that channel in both earbuds. Also, the sound sometimes cuts out in that mode.
I've done some research, and it looks like Nokia offer two adapters - the Nokia AD-61 and the Nokia HDA-11. Can anyone tell me if either of these will work for the E51 (i.e. have they tried it and found it worked)?
As discussed on other threads, with my 5800 XP the music podacst playback volume is rubish with Senheiser (and other 3rd party) headphones but excellent with the horrible white Nokia headset headphones. (BTW can anyone exaplain why??).So i want to buy some nice (not white!) headphones that give good volume.
