View 5 Replies View RelatedAs discussed on other threads, with my 5800 XP the music podacst playback volume is rubish with Senheiser (and other 3rd party) headphones but excellent with the horrible white Nokia headset headphones. (BTW can anyone exaplain why??).So i want to buy some nice (not white!) headphones that give good volume.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm comparing to my 5530, On the contacts bar it nicely blends into the back ground, on the 5800 is a dirty oversized white block with the contact in the middle, no blending in or anything, same on the email, a horrible big white square, nothing blended in, I've tried different themes, and reflashed but no good.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I use a 2.5 (who's ridiculous idea was that, anyway?) to 3.5 converter for my e71x, and have the headphones plugged in all the way, I only get audio out of the right side of the headphones. If I plug the the headphones in just before it clicks in to place, I can get audio out of both sides but since it's not fully plugged in the sound always bounces in and out. I've used multiple converters and headsets, all of which are working properly. Is this a design flaw or do I have a bad one that I need to send in for warranty repair?

I have tried a hard reset and also reinstalling the software but to no avail and I am still left without these Pop Ups. I can't stand them not being on the screen when I get a missed call or a text message.

Neither work. I know I can use the buttons, but why have the other options on the screen if they don't work. What about the other options like silence or reject, or send message. All gone.
The new version is **bleep**.Also, when I set an alarm, I can't silence it, or stop it using the touch screen.This all seems to happen when the phone is locked, but if the phone is unlocked, I get the older options.I don't know how I'm expected to unlock my phone just before someone rings me to enable me to have all the existing options, or wake up before my alarm in order to unlock the phone, so I can snooze or stop it.
Just updated the firmware on my phone and have a minor problem. When someone rings me and the phone is unlocked I can answer the call ok, but when the phone is locked and someone rings it says answer in green and unlock is blue, I am unable to answer the call until I unlock the the phone then tapping answer, answers the call, how can I answer the call without unlocking the phone?

Despite 3 emails to nokia and 3 acknowledgements of these emails and a promise to get in touch they have not bothered. Can anyone help me to undo what I've done? when i enter my call log e.g to see a missed call all i get is an empty log it's the same with my dialed/ recieved call list? also my web brower aint saving my recent history either.i have tried the update firmware to the new version and i am no further forward.

YESTERDAY I REFORMATTED THE PHONE REMOVING MEMORY CARD AND I NOTICED THAT I GOT THE ALRAM SCREEN ALL RIGHT AS IT WAS NORMALLY.BUT THEN AFTER A FEW HOURS I PLACED IN THE MEMORY CARD AND THEN TODAY THE ALARM SCREEN WAS THE SAME AS IN PROBLEM 1.
I updated my software to 40.0.005 few days ago. However , now there are a lot of problems.
1. the answer tab on screen does not function while there is an incoming call.
2. the alarm cant be switched off using touch screen .
Recently I updated my Nokia 5800 software V 40.0.005. After updating when any call comes, I can't accept the call through touch screen. First I need unlock using the side bar, then only touch screen works, Earlier I used accept or reject the calls through touch screen without unlocking.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a 5800 XpressMusic and recently bought an BH-503 Bluetooth headset. It paired easily with my 5800 and I have no problems connecting the headset to my 5800. The sound quality is good and I enjoy listening to music on the new headset. The mic, however, doesn't work when paired with my 5800. I can hear the other guy without any problems but he cannot hear me. I've tried calling all of my friends and they obviously use loads of different mobile phones and landline phones, the result is always the same. I've tried resetting the headset - to no avail. Removing it from my 5800's Bluetooth paired devices list, then adding it again - no help. To test the mic itself, I paired the headset with my PC (a Dell XPS M1530). It paired fine - and the mic works!
It's a bit on the quiet side but it works fine, I can chat on Skype and record voice on my PC. So obviously the problem is pairing the mic with my 5800. My 5800 recently came back from Nokia after some service (wouldn't switch on, now fixed) and has firmware v. 40.something (haven't got the phone at hand right now). I have beautiful sound in the headset, all the buttons work fine and I love the headset. Everything works when paired with my PC, it's just the mic not working with my 5800. FYI, I haven't tried the 5800 with other Bluetooth headsets. Maybe my 5800 has Bluetooth problems. I guess I could go back to the store where I bought the BH-503 and ask to borrow another Bluetooth headset to check if that fixes it.
I bought a new Nokia 5800 xpress music last week. I upgraded the fiwmare to 40.xx and the ovi maps to 3.0.3 immediately after purchase. I see that GPS is not working atall. I can see that GPS data at the top but i am unable to get my current position. The same is working on my frineds mobile. I live in india and dont think place is a problem. I tried to get my position using GPRS as well as WLAN biut no use. Update: I just installed Google maps and its able to detect my current position! something is not right with ovi maps i guess.
