Feb 24, 2010Does anyone know how to answer a call with speaker while using GPS on 5800? It would be nice to be able to get a call and answer it while driving.

Nokia :: 5800 - V40 - Cannot Answer Call Using Touch Screen
Feb 19, 2010Just upgraded to V40 on my 5800. Now when the phone rings I get 2 options on the touch screen:
1. Answer
2. Unlock
Neither work. I know I can use the buttons, but why have the other options on the screen if they don't work. What about the other options like silence or reject, or send message. All gone.
The new version is **bleep**.Also, when I set an alarm, I can't silence it, or stop it using the touch screen.This all seems to happen when the phone is locked, but if the phone is unlocked, I get the older options.I don't know how I'm expected to unlock my phone just before someone rings me to enable me to have all the existing options, or wake up before my alarm in order to unlock the phone, so I can snooze or stop it.

Jan 14, 2010Just updated the firmware on my phone and have a minor problem. When someone rings me and the phone is unlocked I can answer the call ok, but when the phone is locked and someone rings it says answer in green and unlock is blue, I am unable to answer the call until I unlock the the phone then tapping answer, answers the call, how can I answer the call without unlocking the phone?

Jan 27, 2010I just updated my nokia 5800 XM (no brand) to v40 software. Now when I try to answer a call I still have to unlock the phone with the side button and then answer, since touchscreen is disabled...
this is the situation:
IF my phone is LOCKED:
I can see the slides, but touchscreen doesn't work (I know I have to move my finger in right direction over the "answer" arrow).
So:If I unlock the phone with side button I can see gray "virtual" buttons and they works.
or If I unlock the phone with side button and then re-lock the phone with side button I have the slides working
IF my phone is UNLOCKED:I can see the gray buttons, but touchscreen doesn't work (If I press it doesn't do anything)
So:If I unlock the phone with side button I have the slides working or If I unlock the phone with side button and then re-lock the phone with side button I can see gray "virtual" buttons and they works.
I'm in a forum (in italian) and I read many people got my same problem, not fixed after hard or soft reset (I cannot hard reset for loosing the prog hellox2, not working in new v40 firmware)

I have to unlock using the side unlock key, and answer the phone. I now set the Any key Answer function on, so I can answer by pressing the white key or the unlock side key. But I am afraid that the side lock key is going to give after prolonged use. And it's kind of inconvenient especially when I don't want to answer a call. I have a question.Whenever the phone touch screen is locked, and if i get a call, i am not able to answer or reject it directly from touch screen, unless i manually unlock the screen using right side lever.
