I used the phone this morning, to check the horoscope widget it came with. It worked and then the battery said it needed to recharge. I plugged it in, it was on there for a good hour. I had to go to work, and unplugged it. I went to the car and turned the phone off, as we need to reboot it from time to time. When it came back on, all it would show is the R560/Samsung logo loading bar screen, over and over and over... I am now dizzy from looking at it. It will not go into base mode to reprogram, it won't turn off again, it won't show battery charging if I plug it in. Simply, it will continue to reboot, again, and again and again. Called Cricket.com, who "refreshed" my phone and reset my voicemail (just to get me off the line, Im sure) to no avail. Then they told me I should go to corporate Cricket store to have it serviced. It is an hour away from me!
My Samsung Messager II sometimes turns off and back on when I am surfling the web or using the qwerty keyboard. Sometimes it happens when I am closing the phone.
I got into the filesys of my R560 today using unicdma just to find out the brew system no longer supports jad and jar files! I've been toying with the idea of putting JRE from suns website on the phone to run blooover2. anyone try this yet? I hate BREW! it would make it so easy to install java on my phone- then it would be super fly!
Has anyone else had any problems with the Messager II / R560 as far as the keypad is concerned? My keypad has become iffy when I press certain keys. It happens mostly with the "T" key. Sometimes I'll press it and it won't register. Sometimes I'll press it and it won't register but then double the "T" the next time I hit it. It'll do this on some other keys around the "T" but mostly the T. I'm thinking it's a warranty issue. This started about a 1.5 months in to using it. I just wanted to get a feel for anyone else having this problem. I'm on Cricket...but I assume this is a problem with the MetroPCS version, too.
I'm still new to Samsung and it's on Cricket. Anyway I've finely figured out how to get into the file system with QPST. BitPim wasn't working for me. What has anyone else done from here? Can you add brew apps to the phone? Or change any system settings? What would really be good is if I could eliminate the ascending volume ring when calls come in. My girl friend has the Samsung My Shot II and it does not have that stupid ascending ring. I know with my last phone (UTStarcom / AudioVox) you could edit some files and get rid of some default sound efx and other stuff. I have the R560
i use Samsung galaxy s2 with the latest firmware version from Samsung kies (ginger bread 2.3.5) , the problem occurred after installing external SD card and move bunch of apps to it,i tried removing the external sd card from my device, the device stoped rebooting, when i insert it again the device keeps rebooting over and over, the problem is obviosley is moving apps to SD card, i tried to delete the content of the file (andro secure) in SD crad this file includes the moved applications from phone memory to external sd, the problem also stoped
its one of the two: 1- android do not accept lots of apps in external sd or 2- there is a problem in a specific app in external sd which make the phone rebooting over and over but i don't know which app is causing the issue because i have lots of apps installed !
my s2 has just started rebooting itself over and over and im not sure what steps to take so asking for some kind advice please. I updated to ICS via kies around 12.30 this afternoon from gingerbread (after backing up my phone). My phone is branded vodafone but unlocked and is using an o2 Sim.I cant tell you any build numbers etc. The furthest the phone boots is as follows... turn on, the booting logo, sim card unlock pin, pattern unlock screen, once unlocked the screen is black, after 30 seconds or so, it reboots and does the same again but minus my sim unlock screen. It reboots to the pattern lock screen instead.Ive barely used it all day other than to take a look at whats new, i was about to begin a txt message when it randomly rebooted and just restarts.
So far this has happened 3 times:I was listening to music on the phone and then suddenly it stoped and played the startup music. When I unlocked the phone it had a blank screen and only a couple of icons at the top, one being the battery indicator. A few seconds later and its fully rebooted with signal strength etc
I went to settings and then About Phone. Subsequently, I checked for updates and after that I tried updating my phone. The file size was around 12 MB after which it proceeded with rebooting the phone. Unfortunately my phone is not getting rebooted after the software update. It is stuck with the screen showing "Samsun Galaxy S2 GT-19100G". The welcome note with the music screen is also not appearing.
I have a Gravity 2 which is randomly shutting down and rebooting.Anybody else here experienced the same issue, and if so is it correctable? Network = WIND Is there newer firmware available for it?
when I have tethered for a while, if I reboot the phone afterwards, my battery drops by around 30% just on the reboot. For example, if I have 44% left after tethering and then reboot by pressing and holding the power button until the phone reboots, by the time it's finished booting (which isn't long) it has dropped to 14% and it tells me to plug the charger in. If I don't plug the charger in (this is a real mystery this bit), every few minutes, the battery will keep increasing by 1%. This is without really using the phone much that it does this. It will keep regaining that 1% every few mins until I reboot the phone again and it remains at whatever it's got up to during that time.
I'm ringing Samsung tomorrow as I am pretty sure this isn't normal behaviour. However, I would like to ask if somebody might be kind enough to tether for about half an hour or so with their s2, then reboot (using power button and holding it til phone auto reboots) and tell me if you also lose more power. And then of course, see if it starts to creep up again.I know that's quite a big ask and would only advise somebody with truly unlimited data to try it as tethering consumes a lot.Bear in mind that tethering also drains battery anyway so make sure you have at least 60% prior to trying this just in case you lose the power too.
i tried to update my curve but now it keeps rebooting and then saying linking java and the rebooting again. i tried to connect it to blackberry desktop software but i cant because it keeps rebooting.
I have been so sad all day.My blackberry Torch has been going on and off all by itself. In the middle of a phone or when kept idle it just starts to reboot all by itself. i dunno if its coz of new applications i downloaded.I tried to delete them but when i press delete it restarts and they are still there.
today my blackberry started to reboot itself.after the reboot it works for about an hour.and then it reboots again. i updated the operating system but it still reboots.
My Blackberry Tour 9630 keeps rebooting. It has done most recently twice within a 30 minute period. How can this be fixed or what is causing the problem.
I have tried everything, everything...including backing up phone memory to reset factory settings twice & reinstalling/repairing the phone software after having read the moderator's replies on similar posts! It was purchased in Nanjing,China for 5000 yuan on 19-Nov-2010. It hasn't given me any sort of problem till now. I came back to India 2 weeks ago and since then it has been crashing non stop. After reading all the complaints of fellow users on the website and consumer.complaints.in, it's very sad to see that Sony Ericsson has manufactured such a defective piece that I no longer wish to acredit it with the quality that it claims to have. 36000 rupees is what it costs and it works worst than Nokia 1100.How is it that a phone with a 1 GHz processor fail so many times. It seems that people worldwide have the same problem after the 2.1 update.
I have gone through every solution given, every method that were suggested and still it is rebooting randomly.
The rebooting occurs randomly, it can happen when I'm using the phone, it can happen when I'm not using the phone, it can happen when I charge the phone. But sometimes it work just fine. The most days I have gone without the phone randomly rebooting is 2 days.
I also noticed that before the phone starts to reboot, the screen will freeze and the back will heat up. During the annoying reboot, the phone can be hot. I think this has to do with the battery, but I am not entirely sure since I don't know what I'm dealing with. The most irritating part during the reboot is, the cellular network will not work and when it stops rebooting, the cellular network stay to not working. (My phone is unlocked and I know this because I have been using the phone with 3 different network in the past). The only way for me to get the cellular to work again is to wait for the reboot again or try to manually rebooting the phone several times until I get the network to work again.
I've seen in various threads that people are having issues with their 9700 Rebooting. I have been told by Telus that it is a hardware issue... but I am now on my 3rd unit and find it hard to believe that it's that. My friend (who works at rim) and I are starting to think it's actually a problem with the backups. So I thought I would find out who else was having this issue... and maybe see if we can find something in common we all have.
If you have a 9700 that's not rebooting feel free to comment as well. That can help us as well!!
Who are you with (Telus, AT&T, etc) Is this your first berry. If not what did you have before. Did you add your contacts/email using a backup If yes, did you do a full restore or custom. When adding your BBM contacts did you use the remote backup, or your backup. Do you notice the restarts happen at an specific times? Doing specific tasks?
The iPhone 4S keeps rebooting and is unusable. The reboot begins, and then restarts before the phone fully reboots. I have tried to connect to my computer to backup and perform a full restore but the phone disconnects from iTunes each time the reboot starts.
I just restored my iphone 4s, iTunes said everyhting was succesful, I saw the progress bar and it went all the way through. But now my iphone keeps on showing the apple logo with a progress bar that hasn't moved an inch and keeps on rebooting.
Ok, I recently replaced my back and since than, it's been turning off and on. Putting it off and thinking I didn't need to restore it at the time and now I have restored and Itunes said to keep it plugged into the computer with the USB, but It still hasn't rebooted. I have tried the power button and the home button trick.
My new HTC Desire C keeps restarting on it's own. The problem subsided after I removed an app called APP2SD, but it's started again. Is there any solution apart from Factory Reset/changing motherboard?
