My stepdaughter has a Samsung Impression and she forgot her password to get into her phone. As a result, her phone won't let you past the phone lock screen.
I've tried removing the battery and entering *2767*3855#, but it just say "unsupported character" when I hit the # key. I even tried *2767*2878# and it says the same thing, "unsupported character".
How can I get into this phone? To make matters worse, the calibration on the touch screen is so off that it's virtually unusable in the portrait position.
I want to purchase a Samsung Impression, but I would like to add language capabilities. I am looking to add Hebrew language to it. Does anyone know if there is a way to do that?
Perhaps I'm just not using the right search keywords, but all the instructions I find aren't working. Mostly because my phone doesn't seem to have the same lines that everyone else is listing.
For example, I typically see this - Profile1 Info 1. Profile Name: T-Mobile GPRS 2. GPRS Setting: +1. Gateway: +++1. IP address: 216.155.165.50 +++2. IP port: 9201 +2. APN: wap.voicestream.com +3. Login ID: anonymous +4. Password: +5. APN: wap.voicestream.com 3. Homepage URL: http://wap.myvoicestream.com/
For MMS, I have these from my E635 as well. MMS Settings 1. Profile Name: T-Mobile USA MMS 2. Server URL: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms 3. GSM Setting: (leave blank as mine was) 4. GPRS Setting: +1. Gateway: +++1. IP address: 216.155.165.50 +++2. IP port: 9201 +2. APN: wap.voicestream.com 5. Bearer: GPRS only
Then, trying to follow another's step-by-step instructions, I'm still having trouble following along. Here's my step-by-step to the point that I get lost. Open Menu, tap Settings, tap Messaging, scroll down to Messaging Settings, tap Multimedia Message, tap MMS Profiles... and this is where it gets confusing for me. Whether I try to edit one of the preset profiles, or add my own, these are the lines I'm offered to work with: editing the MEdia Net profile - Set Name Access Name Auth Type User ID Password (user ID and PW aren't able to be edited in this profile) Protocol (either HTTP or WAP) Home URL Proxy Address Linger Time (sec.) Advanced Settings
And in the Adv Settings, I have - Static IP (to check, or unckeck, a box) Local Phone IP (not highlighted, ie, able to be edited) Static DNS (to check, or uncheck, a box) Server 1 Server 2 (neither server lines are able to be edited in this profile) Traffic Class (down arrow sellection, with Subscribed as the only selection available)
And in adding a new profile, everything that was previously unable to be edited, can now be: User ID, Password, Static IP #, and Servers 1 & 2 #'s. I've tried every combination of URLs that I could find: Home URL - http://216.155.174.84/servelts/mms Homepage URL - Homepage URL: http://wap.myvoicestream.com
Along with every combination of IP #s that I could find: 216.155.165.50 10.168.200.50
And I'm striking out everywhere. I'm hoping someone understands the babble I've typed in here, and can make sense enough of this to be able to help me. I don't care about getting on the internet with the phone (no data plan), but I just want to be able to send/receive pics and videos.
I recently changed the digitizer in my Samsung Impression, but the new one didn't come with any adhesive to hold it in. The old adhesive came off with the old digitizer. I'm hoping to find something better than what I'm temporarily using right now (tape). Really would like something close to the original. Or if anything, something the same thickness as the original that I can cut to fit myself. The only place I have seen any listed is on a trade site and they want you to purchase a minimum of 500.
My Impression has been stuck on the Edge network for 3 or 4 days now, no matter where I go. It used to be connected to the 3G+ network. I use AT&T. I looked at my wife's phone to see if her phone was stuck on the Edge network, and it isn't. She is connected to 3G. I spoke, or chatted with AT&T, and they told me it could be the phone, since my wife's phone is fine. She wanted me to put my SIM card into my wife's phone and then see if it connects to 3G. I was wondering if there is anything I can do to get it to connect to the 3G network again.
I would like some software or firmware fixes for the following issues on the Impression. I have the MultiLoader_V.562 & TKFE softwares and the original Samsung USB cable. I have read that some may not be possible on the samsung-impression.org website, but maybe there are more experienced programmers in this forum. I'm hoping the latter is the case! Here are the items I would like seeing solved, in no particular order:
1) Text bug, whereas the text stalls in the "Outbox" and the phone must be power-cycled to return to normal. 2) a) Slider qwerty has slow-response time in regards to letters pressed; b) Pressing space bar twice creates a period; c) Certain letters (mainly A, E, & N) aren't accepted if pressed quickly. 3) Possibility to install firmware found in SPTbox format (with the .crz file type) 4) Possibility to install another OS, such as Windows or Android.
i forgot my lock code for my Finesse with metropcs is there anyway to reset the phone back to factory settings since i can get access any of my information wihout my password?
When I lock my SGS II i would expect all the buttons to lock! However the power button function remain active and its far too easy to accidently power off my phone or set it into flight mode.Does anyone know how to disable this "feature" ??
Message "This device was reset. To continue, sign in with a Google Account that was previously synced on this device."I have got a Samsung S6 SM-G920P Sprint with FRP Lock. The method is very simple - using OTG connecting a flash drive with downloaded app to a phone and then file manager will pop up, then just run app. The app basically just letting you get to phone settings where it will let to reset the phone and remove FRP Lock
Problem is that file manager wont automatically launch when i plug it in and so as far I understand the method doesn't work for most or all owners of Galaxy S6 and Note 5. I wonder if the file manager wont pop up after latest update or it was that way originaly? If it happened after update is there any way to flash earlier version? I tried ODIN to flash stock ROM but it fails and I am getting message SW REW. CHECK FAIL DEVICE: 3 BINARY: 2
I did restore to factory few times, last time - using Smart Switch. The phone has official Rom, not rooted..Or is there any other way to bypass activation to get to settings, other way remove FRP Lock?
My phone has a lock code on it and when i try to enter it, it keeps saying error. I've even tried the factory default one but it wont work :s phone has been working fine since this?
I have a second hand W995, and it had a phone lock on their but I've forgot the code to it. Is there anyway I can factory reset the phone, without actually being on the menu?
Like so many people here, i have also forgotten my phone Lock Code. So today i have decided to reset it anyhow and while playing with my phone K850i - A2 phone, db3150, BINGO, i found the way. May be this should work with all platform phones. But still this has to be confirmed by the owner of different platform phones. The solution is- look in your FS in this folder. tpa/preset/default now delete this file- 'security_domain_settings'. That's it. Your Phone Lock Code is reset to 0000.Before deleting you might want to back up that file. Though it is not required. Tested by me.Pls confirm this method by different platform phone users. edit: Just found that by deleting this file, it is not recreated. so there might be some functions which will not be able to use if you delete it. But by activating it, it serves the purpose. asking for passward and all. if you give wrong passward, it will not let you access. Do it at your risk. this means if you forget the passward again, you will not able to retrive it. edit 2 : By flashing the phone this file is recreated and you will have the same passward as you have set after deleting that file. In my opnion, just flash your phone after you use the above mentioned method.
I have a SE Naite which I must say is awesome. Yesterday the phone switched off due to low battery. But when I tried switching it on it is asking for a code. Since its been long I have forgotten it. Is there anyway to retrieve it or reset it? I tried using the XS++(v3.1) tool but it seems that its not able to retrieve any info from phone.
I got a used samsung 5 phone from tmobile because my original one broke. After a few hours, the phone became very slow and sometimes unresponsive. I tried to do a reset but then a warning came up, saying how the phone is a custom os and resetting it might cause damages to the phone. Is there another way to solve the lag on my phone or do I still proceed with the reset?
I always use my fingerprint as a password but for some reason that option has dissapeared and the only thing on the screen is the option to put it a password or emergency call. I don't remember my password and can't get in, i've tried restarting my phone, turning it on and off, and taking the battery out but its still like this.
I have upgraded my SGS2 to 2.3.6 last month, but noticed this issue in the last couple of weeks or so.When I press the phone lock key (which is on the right side) the phone is going to idle mode (screen goes black) but when I press the home key or lock key again, I can see that my phone is not locked.
Just recently I started getting game ads on my app lock screen and I don't know why this has happened. I downloaded the All-in-one-toolbox and the ad-detect and I was wondering when I go to the ad-detect, do I have to uninstall of the app's with ad's on them.
First I'm not all that sure I'm in the right place for this post. My apologies if it's not! The phone is a Samsung SGH-A257 aka Magnet. My question is there any way to get into the phone if you've forgotten the phone lock number? Do you have to reset the entire phone? If so, how is that done? I'm researching this for a friend so please forgive my ignorance.
My quite new (3 weeks) S6 did a factory data reset on its own. It happened while I was driving for 2hrs on a highway, with the phone resting on the empty passenger seat, not touching the phone. Lost all data, all apps, all pics. Very frustrating. After 3 days of research (visiting Verizon store, calling Verizon, calling Samsung, internet research), the possible cause may the following:
About 2-3 hours before driving, the phone did a scheduled automatic update, which took more than 30 min to complete. This all happened in a signal-weak area. Tech support said, although the update completed, it may have had some flaws, and when the phone detects that, it may resort to a factory data reset to avoid greater functionality problems.
Unfortunately, the end result included functionality problems, most notably that the phone calendar only synched partially (!!) with my desktop Outlook calendar, and promptly I missed two important appointments.
When a scheduled update comes your way, make sure you backup all contacts, photos, data etc, before allowing an update to perform.
I've lost the 4 digit user selected security lock code which is required to reset the phone.Virgin says Samsung should help recover the code and Samsung says Virgin should help recover the code.A while back, I found a code on the web that allowed me to go into a service menu which listed among other things the lock code. I can't find any information on how to get back into that menu.
By the way, yes, I tried the last 4 digits of the phone number, 0000, 9999, 1234.If anyone knows how to get into the service menu on this phone
The only codes I've found so far are:##786# which gets into an info menu but doesn't have the lock code.##33284# which requires a 6-digit security code which I don't know.
I have just got my first ever HTC phone, the HTC One X. I've had it for less than a week, when I lock the screen after a short while the phone will reset its self, it has done this about 5 times in the last hour.
