I'm looking at used Galaxy tablets on eBay. I'm almost always in an area where there's wi-fi. Will I have any issues like I'm not going to get nagged to death about signing up with whatever carrier the tab was with?

I have no idea what price. Right now I started the bidding at $200, but I think that might be to high to start if off like that. I did the bid for 3 days because I wanted to get the Lost Complete Series Blu-Ray Collection ASAP (hopefully on Tuesday) lol.
I can still edit my price, since no one has bided on it yet.

My old g600 battery is dying. I need a new replacement. I can get 2x standard batteries for $10 on eBay (guessing 880mah) or for $11 a 1450mah big battery. Is it worth it? And do they actually come in capacities this large while still fitting in the phone?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm not new to buying phones off of eBay, but usually I do buy it now from a very large and prolific store for new imported GSM phones (like my current Samsung g600). I have never gotten a domestic US phone and want to get a Samsung Vibrant, but many of the cheaper new or used deals are from individual users with relatively smaller feedback numbers. How would I go about making sure I don't get a stolen phone from one of them? I know Verizon checks ESN numbers for their CDMA phones but I don't know what protections GSM phones have, if they have any at all. Do they check IMEI numbers? I think I remember hearing that custom firmwares will erase the number, so it isn't a good indicator and can be used against me to sell a phone. So for anyone buying domestic used or new phones, any tips on avoiding these situations? And even if I do end up with one, it probably won't brick on me like a CDMA phone would?

When I click on a link and that tries to open a new tab, I get an error message that states I have reached my 50 tab maximum. At the bottom of the screen where most users have a "Back" "Forward" "Home" "Bookmark" "Tab" icons, I do NOT have a "tab" icon. I contacted ATT regarding my purchased Iphone (a year back through ebay) regarding the unlocking the iphone. They got my IMEI number and a week after they have reported with the steps to unlock my phone. (Just connect to I tunes,backup and restore with internet connection). I did the steps but I could not get the successful message in the Itunes. I contacted ATT and Apple. Both of them saying that only other party can help.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI don't have a lap top, though I do plan on getting one soon, so I rely on my black berry for on the go internet. I play the guitar so I often want to check tabs and make sure I'm playing a song right/learn a new song. My poor 8330 can't handle website like UltimateGuitar.com, so I had the idea of creating a website with plain text webpages so I could easily view my guitar tabs. (Of course I have to add them myself so thats not a problem) I already have a free website set up for this purpose but I'm having one issue; the tabs get word-wrapped and make them unreadable. Is there a way to set up the webpage correctly (html and what not) or a setting on my blackberry to prevent this?
Edit: I've noticed if I switch to "Page view" it displays the the page correctly, of course at a smaller font size but thats what I want. But after a few moments it zooms it. Is there a way around this?
Edit2: I've been doing some research; the problem appears to be with the device because it automatically scales the content to fit the page. So to revise my original question, is there a way to disable the scaling or prevent it by adding some code to my webpage?
In my project the tabs which are not under more section are properly responding to orientation but the tabs present under the more section are not responding.For example if I am having two tabs names tab1 and tab2 under more section and if I am putting break point at the "shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation" method of each tab.After that when if I am selecting tab1 from more section and tries to rotate it but the "shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation" of the tab2 gets called.The delagate method of the tab which I am selecting is not getting called.I am working on XCode Ver 4.3.2. View 3 Replies View RelatedWhile using my iPhone today I realized that there does not seem to be a way to move the position of tabs within safari.
I had 6 tabs open, and just based off of intuition, I tried to move a tab's location by pressing/holding onto one thinking that it would eventually shake and become movable. I was surprised to see that nothing happened and that there did not seem to be any way to rearrange tabs in safari on an iPhone (and I would assume iPad as well, but I cannot test that until later tonight).
What do you guys think about the possibility of adding the functionality to press/hold onto a tab in safari to have it shake and become movable. I think it follows the "you already know how to use it before you use it" mentality and would would be used by many users, especially if this functionality is not already on the iPad.

Strangely, only 3 of the 15 digits are different, the rest are the same.Is it a natural part of unlocking that the IMEI is changed in the process? That doesn't seem right.
