View 2 RepliesSince Nokia maps became free to use for driving with spoken directions, I've decided to use it again on my 5800 rather than another piece of Nav software that I had. Whilst it seems to work great, my only problem seems to be that it announces the directions over Bluetooth. As my phone is connected to my car via a built in Bluetooth kit (parrot), whenever I activate routing with spoken directions, the phone takes over the audio and mutes the stereo (with "PHONE" displayed on my factory head unit). The stereo is then muted for the whole journey or until I exit from Nokia maps. So it seems my only options are driving without music, or mute the 5800 and route without spoken directions ?
View 4 Replies View RelatedSince upgrading to ICS, connecting to my car stereo via bluetooth causes the phone to reboot itself. At first i thought it was just whilst streaming music was causing it as i could play 3 or 4 tracks before the phone just shuts down and reboots.
However, today i just had it connected for the phone function only and the same thing happened after 5 - 6 minutes.
The stereo is a Sony MEX-BT3900U which worked perfectly prior to the upgrade.
Carried out the upgrade using Odin3 v1.85 and flashed following one of the guides on the forum. Everthing else appears to be working fine and i quite like the new look etc, but if i can't find a solution to the phone rebooting itself think i will go back to GB.
Having a problem with calls over bluetooth through a Pioneer car stereo with a Galaxy S2. I can make and receive calls ok, and the stereo mutes whenever a call comes in. Call audio is directed through the stereo speakers, but the person at the other end cannot hear me. If I switch the call to the phones speaker they can hear me ok, but this means I have no audio through the stereo. Pressing the privacy button on the stereo appears to have the same effect. I saw one suggestion to try disabling media over bluetooth, and have tried this but the problem persists. I have tested the connection using an iphone and it worked perfectly.

Since I've installed ICS on my Ray (a month ago I finally got the update) I found out that my videos (taken on ICS) are with mono audio (comapring the audio quality with those videos that I've made on 2.3). There's a solution here on the forum, but It needs root (so I have almost 1 and half year of warranity and I don't want to avoid it in any way), so If Sony are going to make some update soon to fix this.. And who was those brilliant mind/s to decied to make the audio of video recording mono, instead of briliant stereo sound on 2.3?
P.S I don't want to make a downgrade to 2.3,It's not my fault that Sony are make such horrible update....

when I play through stereo via aux it is fine but when played through car cassette adapter plugged into the headphone jack it plays only half the sound on half the car speakers in mono?
I really like Waze, but the output can only be heard through the S5 speaker, even though the phone / music is paired with my car's sound system. Hands free calling is fine through the car audio, in fact when I am in a call, the nav directions DO go to the car audio. BTW, this is not a new problem with Lollipop, as it was the same before the upgrade.

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust doing a bit of research before taking the plunge for a Galaxy S. (Haven't logged on here in years!)Can anyone confirm whether you can play audio via USB through your car stereo? Reading online and people seem to have issues, even when switch to mass storage device. Apparently Samsung use proprietary USB driver instead of generic. There's plenty of other ways to connect audio, I know, but I'd prefer a single cable for music/ charging.

When I'm using my 6710 Navigator in the car for navigation & listening to the directions via the car stereo (Bluetooth connection). About the first 1/2 second of the directions are missing. For example instead of "Turn right" I just hear "Right". I can sort of make my way but its hard not hearing the beginning of all the guidance. If I listen via the phone's speaker the instructions are complete. I have a 2009 Hyundai Getz, so its not an old stereo & have installed the latest maps/software on the phone. My 6110 didn't have this problem.

I own a 2014 Chevy Equinox. The car's auxiliary connector does not work with the G4, so I connect with a stand alone Bluetooth device plugged into my cigarette lighter. The problem is the volume is about 50% lower via this method. I'm thinking it's the Bluetooth device I'm using. I tried about a dozen vol u me apps and none of them work

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have iPhone 4s iOS 5 and have successfully paired (bluetooth) with my new Sony DSX-s310BTX car head unit. When I search for a contact through the head unit, it will load the entire (huge) list of contacts and allow me to navigate through the headunit to a contact to make a call (very clunky - SOny's poor design). So, it sees the contact list successfully. The head unit allows for me to enter six presets contacts into a list of popular numbers for easy access, but after the head unit is set to accept an addition to this presets list (it displays "waiting" prompt on the display), I need to know how to "Send the phonebook data by operating the cellular phone" as the SOny instruction manual says to do. I've contacted Sony support, and reviewed the pdf iPhone 4s manual (as well as these discussions), with no luck. It seems it should be under Contacts > select individual contact > Share Contact, but that only gives the option to share via Email or Message (sms), not Bluetooth.
Here are details of my "chat" with SOny support (there is not such "Send Contact" or "Sync Contact" option in iOS): 3:28 PM Austin - (C6QB): After selecting the contact, use the option on how to send it to other devices.3:29 PM Austin - (C6QB): On selecting the contact, use the Send Contact option.3:30 PM Austin - (C6QB): On the next screen, select Via Bluetooth.3:32 PM Austin - (C6QB): It might also have an option of Sync Contact instead of Send Contact.3:32 PM Austin - (C6QB): Please refer to the Manual of the iPhone to check the exact steps on how to send a contact via Bluetooth.

View 4 Replies View RelatedBefore this morning, every time I would try to send a picture in a text message it would just sit there, 'sending' but never send. It was the same story when someone would send me a picture. It would just sit there 'downloading' but never actually download. This morning I tried looking online for a solution and tried following the instructions I found here for the multimedia message settings. Now when I try to send a picture (or any attachment) I get a message at the bottom of my screen that reads "Currently unable to send your message. It will be sent when service becomes available." The same basic thing happens when someone sends me an MMS, "Currently unable to download. Please try again later".My phone is currently connected via wifi, but I also have packet data activated and I have auto-retrieve on..what am I missing? I am new to smart phones, but this is something that was happening with my old samsung corby as well.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI "think" this is the trigger. When I'm on a call my phone will drop the connection to the car handsfree link and revert to the phone (you can still see the bluetooth icon lit) whenever I receive a notification for anything. If it's a text, email, or whatever the call will suddenly cut out go to the phone and then 10 seconds later or so reconnect to the car stereo.
