BB Accessories :: Change Name Of Bluetooth Stereo Gateway
Jul 22, 2011
I recently acquired several bluetooth stereo gateways which work awesome, however they all have the same name and it can take forever to connect to the right one.
Is there any way to set a custom name like you can for pretty much every smartphone out there?
For some reason my playbook is not connecting to my stereo Bluetooth headset(SonyEricsson MW600). Manage to add it to my playbook but its not connecting.
I have a Nokia 6350, which has a 2.5'' headset outlet on the side. I tried to find out which headsets are compatible with this model, but the Nokia website only lists Bluetooth ones. But of course this model support wired headsets too, otherwise it would not have an headset outlet in the first place? recommend me an headset which is compatible with my phone? I bought a Nokia HS-47 one, but I can only get sound on one side, and I would like to avoid wasting money in other products which are not compatible...
I own a 2014 Chevy Equinox. The car's auxiliary connector does not work with the G4, so I connect with a stand alone Bluetooth device plugged into my cigarette lighter. The problem is the volume is about 50% lower via this method. I'm thinking it's the Bluetooth device I'm using. I tried about a dozen vol u me apps and none of them work
I have been trying to use a Motorokr s9-HD bluetooth stereo headset to listen to music in the gym but my connection gets very choppy. Is this kind of interference a limitation of bluetooth in general or do I need a different headset?
I have iPhone 4s iOS 5 and have successfully paired (bluetooth) with my new Sony DSX-s310BTX car head unit. When I search for a contact through the head unit, it will load the entire (huge) list of contacts and allow me to navigate through the headunit to a contact to make a call (very clunky - SOny's poor design). So, it sees the contact list successfully. The head unit allows for me to enter six presets contacts into a list of popular numbers for easy access, but after the head unit is set to accept an addition to this presets list (it displays "waiting" prompt on the display), I need to know how to "Send the phonebook data by operating the cellular phone" as the SOny instruction manual says to do. I've contacted Sony support, and reviewed the pdf iPhone 4s manual (as well as these discussions), with no luck. It seems it should be under Contacts > select individual contact > Share Contact, but that only gives the option to share via Email or Message (sms), not Bluetooth.
Here are details of my "chat" with SOny support (there is not such "Send Contact" or "Sync Contact" option in iOS): 3:28 PM Austin - (C6QB): After selecting the contact, use the option on how to send it to other devices.3:29 PM Austin - (C6QB): On selecting the contact, use the Send Contact option.3:30 PM Austin - (C6QB): On the next screen, select Via Bluetooth.3:32 PM Austin - (C6QB): It might also have an option of Sync Contact instead of Send Contact.3:32 PM Austin - (C6QB): Please refer to the Manual of the iPhone to check the exact steps on how to send a contact via Bluetooth.
Since upgrading to ICS, connecting to my car stereo via bluetooth causes the phone to reboot itself. At first i thought it was just whilst streaming music was causing it as i could play 3 or 4 tracks before the phone just shuts down and reboots.
However, today i just had it connected for the phone function only and the same thing happened after 5 - 6 minutes.
The stereo is a Sony MEX-BT3900U which worked perfectly prior to the upgrade.
Carried out the upgrade using Odin3 v1.85 and flashed following one of the guides on the forum. Everthing else appears to be working fine and i quite like the new look etc, but if i can't find a solution to the phone rebooting itself think i will go back to GB.
Having a problem with calls over bluetooth through a Pioneer car stereo with a Galaxy S2. I can make and receive calls ok, and the stereo mutes whenever a call comes in. Call audio is directed through the stereo speakers, but the person at the other end cannot hear me. If I switch the call to the phones speaker they can hear me ok, but this means I have no audio through the stereo. Pressing the privacy button on the stereo appears to have the same effect. I saw one suggestion to try disabling media over bluetooth, and have tried this but the problem persists. I have tested the connection using an iphone and it worked perfectly.
I purchased a pair of S10-HD (allegedly) stereo headphones yesterday. I paired them with my iMac/OS10.6.8, but they only play in mono. My other bluetooth headphones from Creative play stereo just fine, so why does my S10-HD only play in mono?
I have a stereo with no bluetooth, but would like to stream Pandora or other music from my phone to the stereo. Now, I use an aux. cable from the headphone jack to the aux on the stereo, but I hate having the cable running from the phone to the stereo. Anybody know of a bluetooth adapter that plugs into a stereo to do this?
I've got my Droid and my Xoom both loaded up with my music but sometimes I want to stream it to my stereo. know of something I can hook up to my receiver which can receive bluetooth audio?
Since Nokia maps became free to use for driving with spoken directions, I've decided to use it again on my 5800 rather than another piece of Nav software that I had. Whilst it seems to work great, my only problem seems to be that it announces the directions over Bluetooth. As my phone is connected to my car via a built in Bluetooth kit (parrot), whenever I activate routing with spoken directions, the phone takes over the audio and mutes the stereo (with "PHONE" displayed on my factory head unit). The stereo is then muted for the whole journey or until I exit from Nokia maps. So it seems my only options are driving without music, or mute the 5800 and route without spoken directions ?
I just purchased and tested the Miccus Bluetooth Audio receiver. The setup and syncing of the device was easy and successful. However, as soon as I began playing back any media on the phone and outputting the sound via the wireless Bluetooth protocol, I heard very bad static and distorted sound on the stereo, which is connected to the Miccus receiver.I then tested the Miccus receiver on my roommate's 8530 blackberry and the sound was crystal clear! What gives? And could this be a software or hardware issue with the 9650?(phone calls via separate bluetooth headset work fine)
Will this work with the W205? Do I need some kind of special software? I want to be sure that it will play music via bluetooth before I buy the headphones.
I recently switched from a BlackBerry Z30 to the unlocked Lumia 950 Dual-SIM. I have been slowly moving things over and so far it has been working out OK until last night. That's when I tried to pair my 950 with my 2010 Toyota Prius. No matter what I do, it only reports "Connected Voice" but no music.
I was able to Bluetooth connect and stream music on my Z30, Z10, and my wife's iPhone 4 and 6, so I don't think this is an issue with my car. I looked around online and in the forums and saw others reporting issues with 8.1 and a couple with 10, but there really wasn't a fix that I could see that applied to my situation.
My Photon must be having Apple envy and has decided to refuse to cooperate. Unlocking can still be an occasional two minute ordeal with many whispered metaphorical condemnations of it's heritage and habits. However, my main complaint is the bluetooth audio stutter I hear on a stereo headset.
I have no problems pairing and listinening to audio on a set of bluetooth stereo headphones via my MacBookPro (or my friend's iPhone), but the Photon makes me want to kick something very hard and repeatedly. The audio stutter-pop every 1/3 second (approximatly) is beyond frustrating.
The only thing that reduces the stuttering is if I hold the phone within 3 inches (yes, 3"!) of the headset. Oddly, my mono canal-style headset has a range of about 36 feet. Both of the headsets are less than two months old, and I know that the stereo headset is up to version 3.x of the bluetooth spec. (the Photon is using bluetooth v. 2.1).
I have noticed that my speaker volume is very low after I disconnect from my Bluetooth stereo. It has become a problem because I have missed my alarm the next morning because I don't hear it. I have narrowed it down to the Bluetooth being the issue but I don't know how to fix it. Do I not disconnect correctly?
so in my car with my bluetooth on listening to my groove music... all of a sudden it start skipping at playing back at probably 130% speed. what the heck? Pandora works fine with no skipping.
How to confirm that song metadata shows up on their car stereo when streaming over Bluetooth? I have a Kenwood deck that pairs and streams fine, but metadata are never displayed. Before I take it up with Kenwood, I want to confirm that the feature does in fact work with other units (and thus isn't a problem with the phone).
I just got the Razr HD on Thursday when it became available and I love it so far. I connected my Sony Bluetooth stereo headset (url...). So, not the typical one ear peice just for answering calls. I got them because I listen to music on phone while at the gym and the wire from my old headset kept getting in the way. So, these worked great with the Droid X, never had a problem. I connected them to my Razr HD and the volume instantly goes the the max and cannot be turn down. I use the volume rocker and the volume stays at the max volume until I turn the volume all the way down at which point there is no sound. I can't find a bluetooth volume slider in the sound volume settings and the "Music, Video, Games, & other media" volume control isn't doing anything to adjust the volume for my headset. The headset does not have a volume control of its own and right now I can't use it becuase it is way too loud. I know there ways to be able to adjust the volume for each device independently on custom roms and rooted devices why can't these simple things be added to "stock" roms? Anyone know how to get the volumes to work without having to go to a custom ROM?
