View 3 RepliesSince purchasing the Samsung i-780 in July 2008, I have had to change the motherboard three times and I am still having problems today. The phone is not stable and I frequently experience incoming/outgoing call failures and touchscreen failures. I do not even load my phone with any additional softwares and I do not use it for browsing internet, and yet the software and motherboard is not stable. The frequent malfunction of this phone has caused a lot of problems and inconveniences to my business trips. Also it is embarrassing when my business partners find out that my expensive phone is not working. This is my first and last Samsung phone.....

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy phones memory is almost full so I got an sd card and put that in but how do I go about transferring things to the sd card to free up the phones memory. I am thinking that moving some of my apps would free it up the most. Is this possible. If not what would be the best option.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just ordered the SII and is getting delivered later today. I have just converted some films using Badaboom and have my photos from my iPhone 4 waiting to go on to new phone.o I just copy the files I want straight across onto the memory card as they are or will I need to format the card 1st to put on any file structures that may be required?

View 3 Replies View Relatedmy phone got smashed, it fell out of a pocket and then a chair leg was set on it and I sat on the chair, crushed the phone near the top and now it won't power on.Phone is insured but I was wondering if there is any chance I can recover the pictures and videos from the internal memory?
View 1 Replies View RelatedEvery time I try to download an app the phone says not enough storage available, but all the storage in the sd card is available. I need to make he ad card the main storage...
View -1 Replies View Relatedmy PC can't read it any more. When I plug it into the card reader, it is detected, but always with a message like "The disk in drive H: is not formatted. Do you want to format it now?". The card seems to work fine in the phone, all the data is available. I didn't used to have this issue before, but I wouldn't be able to tell you off hand when I last used the card via card reader.
So my first guess was that some recent firmware upgrade may have changed the filesystem on the mem card. I downloaded the ext2/3 drivers from ext2fsd.com , but that didn't help either. I haven't yet had a chance to connect the phone via USB directly and explore the card that way, but it usually takes quite long to transfer files that way. So what can I try to get Windows to read the card? Is it a filesystem issue? Has anybody seen this before?I am running Android 4.0.3 on Samsung firmware (I9100DXLPA).
I'm unable to access my videos or music as a message is displayed saying 'not enough memory'. My internal storage says I have used 739MB and have 1.2GB free. My external 8GB micro sd card shows I have 5.6GB available. However, my usb storage says I've used 12GB and have no free space. I guess the usb storage is the problem (unless there is something else) and I would like to know how I came to fill up the usb storage when I thought I was saving things to my external 8GB sd card.how to rectify the problem and also how to manage it in the future?

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen trying to send text messages to people it automatically fails. I have full bars of service and I have the latest software. I reprogrammed my phone to the network multiple times yet still the same problem. Message send failure. It sends after like 6 "try agains" Do you think its faulty hardware?
Info:
iPhone 4, iOS 5.1
I have been experiencing too many call failures lately. It seems that I have enough bars. If I do a hard reset, the phone acts better for a short time, then the call failures come back. I have ATT.
Info:
iPhone 4, Mac OS X (10.6.7)
I'm using a Xperia mini, a Mac OS X (10.6.8.) and Sony bridge for mac (3.1). With the former version of Sony bridge I could easily synchronize my music with iTunes (11.0.1). Now I get a failure notice after choosing some songs and clicking the "synchronize"-Button saying: "Synchronization with x failures completed." I reinstalled Sony bridge for Mac, but it didn't solve the problem.
View 1 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden I am getting delivery status failures when trying to reply to work emails. The message in the email reads: Diagnostic -Code: smtp;550, Unable to add (email) because host is listed on RBL dnsbl.sorbs.net
This just started happening last week? I need to be able to respond and write emails to my boss and co-workers on a daily basis, especially when I am traveling.
I've only had this pig of a phone a month and twice I've had to restore factory settings because I couldn't send texts or see my contacts, which means that I also had to re-do all my settings.
The messages I've had are - Activity Contacts (in application Contacts) is not responding. Force close or WaitSorry! Activity Messaging (in application Messaging) is not responding. Force close or WaitSorry! The application Messaging (process com.sonyericsson.conversations) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Force close
Turning the phone off and on doesn't help and the failing applications aren't there in Settings > Applications > Running Services, so I've performed Factory Data Reset, not SD card, then done all my settings again. This is really bugging me.
The phone is up to date, with Android version 2.3.4
I have a samsung ultra touch s8300. Im disappointed with its sms memory. it saves the sms in sim memory which is very limited. how can i change my sms memory to phone or memory card. i have tried ,but i couldn't find any option in the settings.

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust updated via Samsung Apps the camera firmware to a CDE11 or something version. Took 4 minutes to update and flash this firmware. I wonder what exactly it changed in the camera firmware? Hopefully improved things or bug fixes.I will test a few videos and see if the bitrate has changed or not.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung SCH-U490 (Trance). I wish to load some music into the phone's internal memory. When I plug the phone into my PC's USB port, the phone display says, "MTP, Connect to the PC..." Windows makes a "ding" sound, confirming the connection of a new USB device. But after that, nothing happens. No new removable drive. The phone's internal memory is not accessible. I tried using Samsung's PC Studio 3. It reports no phone connected.
View 2 Replies View Relatedi have a samsung sch-r500 from telus, and last week it started coming up with a message "memory is 75% full, please erase messages." My inbox and outbox are both empty. Everytime i try to send a text message thats what i see, now its at 83%. My phone is almost 2 years old and there is no warranty on it. i called telus and they said to bring it to a telus dealer so they will send it in for repair, which will take about 2 weeks plus a fee for them to update the phone software. if anyone has any way to fix this please let me know.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI bought a nexus yesterday and have been unable to register it with the American samsung site (no options for us canadians there) not to mention the fact that after typing in my serial the site says my handset was manufactured 1/31/1993!
On the canadian site which i have all my other samsung products registered, there is no listing for my model number (GT-I9250TSDTLS (this is whats on the box, phone menu just lists my model as Samsung Galaxy Nexus, though the label under that battery shows GT-I9250M as the model number..how am I supposed to register my phone?[URL]..shows that galaxy owners can get a free copy of angry birds space... how do I get that?
Two Samsung U800, two 8GB micro-SD cards, about 6,000 files of mixed type (videos, music, pictures) in a lot of folders and sub-folders and those files are supposed to be on both memory cards in identical orders to be used in both phones. Either phone refuses to see some of the files even though they very clearly are on the respective memory card.
Reformatted the cards multiple times, uploading the files taking for ever, only to find that now some other files are "not there" according to the phone while they are pretty damn well "there" according to the computer. Pushing the sam files again via bluetooth results in "file name in use" so the phone KNOWS the files are there, just refuses to show them.
When I drag a video from explorer to the external memory video folder on the phone, it is copied to the internal memory! Is there a way to move items from explorer directly to external memory (SD card)?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought a Samsung R451C and took many pictures. Now, I have no idea how to pass all the pictures to my PC. I bought a cable but when I connect it to the phone and the laptop, I cannot see the internal memory. When I insert a microSD card into the phone, the phone allows me to copy/move pictures ONE by ONE to the card from the internal memory, which is extremely slow. Is there any way to copy all the pictures at once to the microSD card or directly to the PC? Maybe there is a program for doing that?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWord on the street is that there may be a refreshed Samsung Galaxy Nexus coming. I wasrReading over at Android and Me and this thread caught my attention:The rumors state that there is going to be a refreshed camera. Possibly along the way of 8.0MP. On top of that, the processors are scheduled to be refreshed using The faster SGX544 GPU is included with Texas Instruments upcoming OMAP4470 processor. This is the successor to the original OMAP4460 found in the Galaxy Nexus, that includes the older SGX540 GPU.With the Sprint version of the Galaxy Nexus coming soon we'll have to wait and see if they are in fact getting a refreshed model or the LTE based model that Verizon has currently, Either way, I hope they do launch a refresh on the HSPA+ line as well. I use the Galaxy Nexus and while I love the phone, I wish the camera was better. Faster is always better as well so I'll take the processor bump.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI was thinking of buying the s2x telus version from craigslist. I was wondering if someone who bought the phone from telus sells me this phone, would I be able to enjoy the 1 year manufacturer warranty? I understand that the warranty starts when the phone is first bought. I'm just wondering if that warranty will be transferred to me under these scenerios?
1. If the seller had bought the phone from telus outright.
a. If the seller has kept the original receipt and gives it to me.
b. If the seller has lost the original receipt and does not provide me with it.
2. If the seller had bought the phone as an upgrade.
a. if the seller has kept the original receipt and gives it to me.
b. If the seller has lost the original receipt and does not provide me with it.
In case I do get to enjoy the warranty, will I be taking my phone to a telus store if it needs repair or will I send the phone directly to the manufacturer? I don't plan to use the phone with the telus network after I purchase it.
I just purchase my sg2 phone yesterday. Unfortunately, my brother has used my phone last night and register the Samsung account in it by using his email or id. When I tried to change the account, it cannot be done cause I have to do the factory reset in privacy setting (which will erase all my personal info and downloaded applications). I don't want that to happen as well. Plus, my my brother can't even remember what the password he has used for the Samsung account I'm very pissed off now that my Samsung account belong to him and the fact that I can't do the factory reset because of him. I'll mention again, he forgot the password he used for MY SAMSUNG ACCOUNT IN MY SG2.
