Samsung :: R451C / Transferring All Pictures From Internal Memory
Jun 16, 2010
I bought a Samsung R451C and took many pictures. Now, I have no idea how to pass all the pictures to my PC. I bought a cable but when I connect it to the phone and the laptop, I cannot see the internal memory. When I insert a microSD card into the phone, the phone allows me to copy/move pictures ONE by ONE to the card from the internal memory, which is extremely slow. Is there any way to copy all the pictures at once to the microSD card or directly to the PC? Maybe there is a program for doing that?
my phone got smashed, it fell out of a pocket and then a chair leg was set on it and I sat on the chair, crushed the phone near the top and now it won't power on.Phone is insured but I was wondering if there is any chance I can recover the pictures and videos from the internal memory?
i just got my phone a few days ago in witch i ammased 56 pictures i took the card out put it in the lil adapter thing stuck it in my laptop and all i can see is a walpaper i put on there. i would like to put my pictures on my computer can somone please help me with this ?
I just got my tour and I had a 1gb memory card in my previous EnV Touch with all my pictures. I can't figure out how to get the pictures off the memory card to the internal memory so I can put the 2gb memory card back into my tour that it came with. I don't want to use Roxio because it messes up my computer and the Menu > Move doesn't move it to the internal memory!
I am on my third storm. I got the one I have now in August. Since I got this phone I have not been able to use mass storage mode on my phone. I have a bunch of pictures that are stuck on my phone in internal memory. The Device Switch Wizard did not transfer the setting "save photos to memory card" so it has been saving to internal memory all this time. That's not to mention the fact that I lost ALL of the pictures on internal memory when I did the switch.
Anyway, in an attempt to get mass storage mode to work so I can get my photos off the phone I opened the device manager and uninstalled the USB driver so it would be reinstalled. Now the PC doesn't even know the phone exists. "Driver installation failed... could not find a driver for your device...". I have Desktop Manager installed and it doesn't detect the phone either. I just want my pictures. I tried the fix in THIS thread and it won't even run. A CMD window comes up for 1/10 of a second and dissapears. I tried compatibility mode.
Is there at least any way to move the pictures from internal memory to the card all at once? I know how to do it one by one but there's no way I'm going to spend hours doing that.
I am running Windows 7 64bit. I even plugged the phone into one of my other machines (Win7 32bit) and now it won't even load the driver.
I've had the phone for almost three months now and I loved it. Up until I realized how much this phone falls short of being great! I'm just going to list some flaws that are half questions.
1) It's so hard to transfer pictures from the internal memory to the external. Is there an easier way than selecting every picture individually (and only being able to select 30 at a time, mind you) and having to do this over and over? Is there a point to the internal memory? 2) Photo organizations has got to be my biggest complaint. I don't know if it's just my phone, but when it saves pictures, my m500 does NOT list them chronologically, but rather places the picture wherever it sees fit! My theory is that when I delete a picture, it fills in the empty spots, but either way, I want some frigging answers! 3) Unable to access the internal memory through the USB.
im having trouble with my phone and mp3s. i transfered some over but for some reason there was a player error. now the phone and software tells me i have only 6 megs left on my memory but there is nothing in the phone. bitpim shows 3 10 meg files under the brew folder i believe its 1088 or suttin like that, but i am denied access to deletion. i looked all over trying to find a hard reset code or suttin, anyone have any idea's? i plan on gettin a card but i still want to not have this on my phone taking up memory when its not even there in the first place.
When i take a pic, i would like it to go to 2 gb microsd card but i see no option for this. everything goes to internal memory and you manually move pics to sd card and future shop did not supply a sd card or even a software CD. boo future shop.
I have what I hope is a simple question about the Samsung Juke-- is it possible to somehow reconfigure the 2 GB of internal memory intended for music to hold text messages instead? I have an mp3 player, so I don't need the music functions, and a 100 text message inbox isn't quite large enough for me.
I have a Samsung SCH-U490 (Trance). I wish to load some music into the phone's internal memory. When I plug the phone into my PC's USB port, the phone display says, "MTP, Connect to the PC..." Windows makes a "ding" sound, confirming the connection of a new USB device. But after that, nothing happens. No new removable drive. The phone's internal memory is not accessible. I tried using Samsung's PC Studio 3. It reports no phone connected.
i have a samsung sch-r500 from telus, and last week it started coming up with a message "memory is 75% full, please erase messages." My inbox and outbox are both empty. Everytime i try to send a text message thats what i see, now its at 83%. My phone is almost 2 years old and there is no warranty on it. i called telus and they said to bring it to a telus dealer so they will send it in for repair, which will take about 2 weeks plus a fee for them to update the phone software. if anyone has any way to fix this please let me know.
Is there any way that you can transfer a file from your Micro SD memory card straight to the PC or do you have to put it as internal memory first? Also, can you just tape videos on your memory card or only internal.I've had my phone for 3 months and I still dont know about those things and its starting to annoy me, especially as yesterday I was at Live Earth and went to tape Foos until being told I had used all my memory up on internal!
So the manual says I can export playlists to the phone from windows media player. What if I'm using a memory card reader and not the USB cable? I would like to create some playlists, and the playlist editor on the phone is too cumbersome.I've tried cutting and pasting playlists from folders on my PC to the memory card but they are not recognized. Is there a PC program I can create playlists on and drag them over to the memory card? assuming the folder hierarchy is the same.
In my quest to transfer my apps from internal phone storage to my SD CCard I discovered that Motorola refers to (or is it Android) to your SD card as 'media storage'. In an attempt to use the 'Manage Apps' feature and selecting 'Media area' I see apps with check marks and those without. I thought that the ones with checkmarks are those already on the SD Card and those without are those that are not on the SD Card, but might be able to be put on the SD Card. (Another user via another question I put out there indicated that the check marks indicate whether or not an app can be stored to the SD Card . . . is that true?). At any rate I am getting the following message when I select an app and select the 'move to media storage' button.
Failure to move application. There is not enough storage left. Here is the particulars of my current state of storage -
Application Storage - 1.04 GB Internal Storage- Total Space: 4.36 GB Available Space: 4.88 GB SD Card - Total Space: 29.71 GB Available Space: 28.79 GB
*So I have plenty of SD Card space, why am I getting this error? Is the one user correct that just because I see an app in the media area tab, that doesn't mean that it can be transfered? Also, when I select an app and the button to move it to the media area is selectable (not greyed out) . . . shouldn't it be selectable without getting the failure I keep getting? Obvoiusly I have PLENTY of SD Card space, so there is something I obviously do not understand.
Why can't the BB OS use some of the removable memory card space to free up the internal memory. To me this is a no brainer, most of us have 16 or 32gig cards, I would be more than happy to set aside some space so the phone could run better. Most of the new flash cards these days are reasonably fast and could easily be used as a swap file place holder or reside some of the dormitory features.
i just got a ux380 and i was wondering if i could transfer music from the memory card to the internal memory for use as a ringtone. i was also wondering if i could send music from the card to other phones via bluetooth.
Is there a way to setup the email to use the memory card rather than internal memory? Ever since i'v started using the messaing client, I can see the internal memory depleting. Obviously this is due to the email client downloading new mails. I have Gmail setup to use IMAP, and set 'Hide email older than 5 days'. Now my point is, even though i delete mails regularly from the phone,I think it still sits on the memory since i dont really regain any space.
Whats the most efficient way to use gmail, and have it use as minimum space as required on the local memory? and also, how to delete emails permanently from the phone?
I'm having a small problem here. The memory of both memory card and internal memory of my N900 is read only. I tried a reboot, reconnecting, ... Nothing helps.I connect it to a Debian and windows XP, none of them work.Any suggestions somehting like fsck? I know fsck is on the device but I don't know how to use it well?
Just picked up this nice little slide phone at Wal-Mart, Straight Talk as the provider. As I sit here customizing it, I notice that the built-in wallpaper automatically resizes depending on what orientation i have the screen (keyboard out or in). I have been unable to duplicate this behavior with any wallpaper I've sent over to the phone, unfortunately. Other than that, very nice, clear, capable phone
I was wondering how come when i add a song to my micro sd card and then add it to my phone and use the song as a ringtone it is not very loud. I cant seem to find a song that is loud they are all softer. Where and how can i get a song louder to use as a ringtone that will beable to hear....what i want is to know why the songs or not very loud i want a ringtone that is loud and u can hear over tv or if ur a casino and can still hear it.
I want to buy a case for my Samsung R451C. Which do you guys prefer? The stylish plastic covers or the rubber/leather covers. I like the style of the plastic ones, but the others provide some cushion in case of dropping it.
How can I put ringtones off of websites on this phone without going to the site suggested by Straight Talk? I would like to pick and choose from a different source but do not know of a compatible site.
