my phone got smashed, it fell out of a pocket and then a chair leg was set on it and I sat on the chair, crushed the phone near the top and now it won't power on.Phone is insured but I was wondering if there is any chance I can recover the pictures and videos from the internal memory?

I bought a cable but when I connect it to the phone and the laptop, I cannot see the internal memory.When I insert a microSD card into the phone, the phone allows me to copy/move pictures ONE by ONE to the card from the internal memory, which is extremely slow. Is there any way to copy all the pictures at once to the microSD card or directly to the PC? Maybe there is a program for doing that?

Is there any way of transferring the internal memory module to a new phone and hoping that it's not also water damaged? I really want the photos from my trip. I am confident repairing phones.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI ended up breaking the LCD screen on my S5 a few days ago and now that a replacement is on its way, I would like to retrieve the pictures off of the internal memory. However, when I plug my device into the computer (still turns on and works, just no display) it says no files are on the phone. I'm used to this because I've always had to unlock the phone itself in order to get into the memory on a computer. I can't enter the code since the screen is broken and not taking input as far as I can tell. So. Am I just out of luck here? Or is there another way to access this photos? Which if not it is no big deal since there weren't any IMPORTANT images on there.
View 6 Replies View Relatedi loaded an app called "CLEAN SWEEP, and " Whats APP".. does any one of these apps change some properties that are hard to find that now makes any of my pictures i download from my messaging app, or camera go straight to "MY FILES" instead of showing in MY GALLERY like they used to do. I have deleted the old download folder to see if it wold start a new one , and it did, but still is not showing up in my gallery, just my files. the only pics showing up in my gallery are the ones on my sd card.

When I did this, it reset all my internal memory, making me lose my notes, calendar, android apps, google setup, and settings. Even when I tried backup and restore, it didn't work. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a C902 that has just started to refuse to power up. It hasn't been modified or reflashed since new. I've removed the battery, SIM and memory card and then reinstalled the battery. On pressing power on, the phone vibrates briefly and then the blue shutter button on the side lights up. That is all it will do. It did complain of a memory issue just before. I have downloaded the Sony Update Service program and it says than an update is available. However, I really need to save the internal phone memory contents (i.e. phone contacts and text messages) as this process will wipe it clean. Sony's PC Suite won't connect to the phone as it refuses to power up. I'm hoping that someone knows of a utility that will connect to the phone like the Update Service program that will allow me to read the contacts and text messages directly from the phone memory. Is this possible? Is there another way, i.e. direct memory access. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Most programs do not recognize the LG 4 for some reason I read but don't remember. I am also not techy enough to root the phone. It blows my mind that this smartphone doesn't have a recycle bin or a go-back feature where you can recover deleted items.

I can't figure out how to get the pictures off the memory card to the internal memory so I can put the 2gb memory card back into my tour that it came with. I don't want to use Roxio because it messes up my computer and the Menu > Move doesn't move it to the internal memory!

View 2 Replies View Relatedi have a samsung sch-r500 from telus, and last week it started coming up with a message "memory is 75% full, please erase messages." My inbox and outbox are both empty. Everytime i try to send a text message thats what i see, now its at 83%. My phone is almost 2 years old and there is no warranty on it. i called telus and they said to bring it to a telus dealer so they will send it in for repair, which will take about 2 weeks plus a fee for them to update the phone software. if anyone has any way to fix this please let me know.
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo I accidentally deleted files off my internal storage in an attempt to free it up (it said miscellaneous but didn't realise this included all my received whatsapp pics and videos).
So I've read that I need to root my phone in order to try recover these, I've so far downloaded odin and ran the pda which passed. Then I put SUSuper I think on my internal storage and from this point my phone stopped following the tutorial.
My GS6 was at around 30% battery when I went to bed last night and this morning when I woke up was dead.
I plugged it into the factory fast charger and original cable, and although it gets warm to hot, it doesn't switch on or respond in any form.
The automatic backups seem to have only backed up to mid-Aug, and I have photos I would like to get off the phone from prior that date. Why the automatic backup didn't do them. A family member passed away and I have photos I would really like to have.
Is there an internal memory card, or are these memory chips attached to the board? I have the GS6 128GB edition..
I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 with 11.82 GB available memory. Although all my files take up 3.9 GB, my phone tells me that they take up double.
Through ES File Explorer i found this path : Device/ Storage/ Emulated/ "0" and "legacy".
Both "0" and "legacy" are exactly the same( number of files, folders an storage space). If i delete a file from "0" it automatically deletes the file from "legacy", so i can not delete one and leave the other.
I have a Samsung S5 with a 32gb SD card. The other night my from completely froze for approx. 30 seconds and then I lost everything saved on the SD card. The card cannot be read by the phone nor be mounted. When trying to mount the card the phone says mounting SD card then card is safe to remove. I connected it to my computer and it says card needs to be formatted when clicking on the drive letter where the card is place via an adapter. we tried to mount the card on 2 other phones with the same results. Any recovery software that I might use to get my pictures back?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently installed a 32GB SD card to my Galaxy SII and moved most movable apps to it. However, now I need to copy some stuff from my PC to the 'internal' SD card and I can't connect to it.
I do the regular 'USB utilites -> Connect storage to PC' routine, but all I get on the PC is the external card.
How can I access the 'internal' SD card without physically removing the external one? BTW, I'm on official, non-rooted ICS 4.0.4.
Is there a way to reactivate internal compass? My compass apps stopped working sinse upgrade to ICS. It only reads N0 degrees.

I don't have an external sd card in the phone, so this may be why. The problem is I don't want the apps going to an external card, I want to use up the internal storage.
On my nexus s, the button said "move to usb" instead of "move to sd"...
don't say things like, 'why do you need more than 2gb for apps' or 'buy an sd card'.

She bought a new case for her Verizon S5, and in the process of swapping cases, somehow managed to factory reset her phone. So all of our vacation photos are gone. Her cloud storage is full, so nothing from the last 6 months was recoverable from the cloud.
My questions is, is there a way to recover photos from a factory reset? I'll root it, or anything else I need to do.
I have tried device manager to lock my phone and set a new pin number, but it tells me my phone is already locked and I do not require a pin number. I have tried going thru google and once again it never worked. The pin number screen will allow me to go on indefinitely until the pin is entered correctly. I think I have tried every option except calling samsung or tmobile.

To me this is a no brainer, most of us have 16 or 32gig cards, I would be more than happy to set aside some space so the phone could run better. Most of the new flash cards these days are reasonably fast and could easily be used as a swap file place holder or reside some of the dormitory features.
