View 3 RepliesI recently upgraded to a Samsung S5 phone and on the specs it says it has a Accelerometer, Gyro, Proximity, Compass, Barometer, Hall, RGB ambient light, Gesture, Fingerprint, Heart Rate Monitor - however I can only find the heart rate monitor. I can't find the compass or barometer - where are these located?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI recently installed a 32GB SD card to my Galaxy SII and moved most movable apps to it. However, now I need to copy some stuff from my PC to the 'internal' SD card and I can't connect to it.
I do the regular 'USB utilites -> Connect storage to PC' routine, but all I get on the PC is the external card.
How can I access the 'internal' SD card without physically removing the external one? BTW, I'm on official, non-rooted ICS 4.0.4.
Is there a way to move installed apps to the internal 12gb of storage? If I go to manage the app and click "move to sd card" I get an error saying there isn't enough space. I don't have an external sd card in the phone, so this may be why. The problem is I don't want the apps going to an external card, I want to use up the internal storage.
On my nexus s, the button said "move to usb" instead of "move to sd"...
don't say things like, 'why do you need more than 2gb for apps' or 'buy an sd card'.
my phone got smashed, it fell out of a pocket and then a chair leg was set on it and I sat on the chair, crushed the phone near the top and now it won't power on.Phone is insured but I was wondering if there is any chance I can recover the pictures and videos from the internal memory?
View 1 Replies View RelatedUpdated my phone when Lollipop came out. A lot of stuff started happening. My battery gets hot, battery drains fast, the GPS fails, and other odd things.
So I reset my phone and reseated my SIM card. Restarted my phone and now it won't reactivate on the Verizon network.
I went to use Waze for the first time on the S6 today, and it was all messed up. Unsure of what the problem was, I googled for compass calibration, and it was completely uncalibrated.
Calibration was easy, though, I just need to wait until tomorrow to check if it has solved the Waze problem.
Click here for instructions to check and calibrate.
I have the Metro GS6, where I can find the compass and the level?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung SCH-U490 (Trance). I wish to load some music into the phone's internal memory. When I plug the phone into my PC's USB port, the phone display says, "MTP, Connect to the PC..." Windows makes a "ding" sound, confirming the connection of a new USB device. But after that, nothing happens. No new removable drive. The phone's internal memory is not accessible. I tried using Samsung's PC Studio 3. It reports no phone connected.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been Googling to try to find an adapter or cable to connect to the internal antenna port on the PCB, but I don't know what the industry terminology for such a connector is, so I don't even know what to Google. Can someone tell me what I need and/or point me to a site where I can buy it? My phone has no external antenna port and an inductive adapter/cradle is not good enough. Yes, I will be very careful and provide strain relief, etc., when I hook it up.
View 2 Replies View Relatedi have a samsung sch-r500 from telus, and last week it started coming up with a message "memory is 75% full, please erase messages." My inbox and outbox are both empty. Everytime i try to send a text message thats what i see, now its at 83%. My phone is almost 2 years old and there is no warranty on it. i called telus and they said to bring it to a telus dealer so they will send it in for repair, which will take about 2 weeks plus a fee for them to update the phone software. if anyone has any way to fix this please let me know.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI bought a Samsung R451C and took many pictures. Now, I have no idea how to pass all the pictures to my PC. I bought a cable but when I connect it to the phone and the laptop, I cannot see the internal memory. When I insert a microSD card into the phone, the phone allows me to copy/move pictures ONE by ONE to the card from the internal memory, which is extremely slow. Is there any way to copy all the pictures at once to the microSD card or directly to the PC? Maybe there is a program for doing that?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy GS6 was at around 30% battery when I went to bed last night and this morning when I woke up was dead.
I plugged it into the factory fast charger and original cable, and although it gets warm to hot, it doesn't switch on or respond in any form.
The automatic backups seem to have only backed up to mid-Aug, and I have photos I would like to get off the phone from prior that date. Why the automatic backup didn't do them. A family member passed away and I have photos I would really like to have.
Is there an internal memory card, or are these memory chips attached to the board? I have the GS6 128GB edition..
Since a few weeks I own a Galaxy S6. Great phone, but lately I'm having problems with the internal speaker. Whatever sound played from it, it sounds distorted after a few seconds.
View 17 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy S5 with 11.82 GB available memory. Although all my files take up 3.9 GB, my phone tells me that they take up double.
Through ES File Explorer i found this path : Device/ Storage/ Emulated/ "0" and "legacy".
Both "0" and "legacy" are exactly the same( number of files, folders an storage space). If i delete a file from "0" it automatically deletes the file from "legacy", so i can not delete one and leave the other.
my 32gb Galaxy s6 Edge Plus is running low on space and my Dropbox account that is attached to the phone is also full and therefore is not uploading/ storing my new pictures/videos into the "cloud".Dropbox is offering an upgrade to 1TB of storage for $10/month .... however there is no middle storage plan apparently. It goes from Free to $10/month.what are the best cloud-storage options out there that I can connect my phone to and that enables automatic storage uploads of pictures/videos?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Galaxy S5 from Cricket/AIO wireless. It just recently updated to Lolly from KK. I want to move larger apps and such to the SD card as I have a 128GB in there. But whenever I try to move a file/app, it becomes unstable or doesn't work. In its place on the menu, is a blank/ghost space and says "app is not installed". In the app manager it is usually listed as "xyz app.samsung.com" or such. I am still making payments to it so I cant fully root it or jailbreak it but I cant load the apps I want/need. Or is there a way to load larger apps directly to the SD?
Also as a secondary problem, moving pctures from internal to SD, I get a ghost image in Gallery and cant access the picture. Did it delete? Can I get it back somehow? Do I need a forensics kit on my computer?

I ended up breaking the LCD screen on my S5 a few days ago and now that a replacement is on its way, I would like to retrieve the pictures off of the internal memory. However, when I plug my device into the computer (still turns on and works, just no display) it says no files are on the phone. I'm used to this because I've always had to unlock the phone itself in order to get into the memory on a computer. I can't enter the code since the screen is broken and not taking input as far as I can tell. So. Am I just out of luck here? Or is there another way to access this photos? Which if not it is no big deal since there weren't any IMPORTANT images on there.

But now, if i want to upload through TWRP's USB mount, i have to following issue. I see the internal storage on my PC when both are connected by USB, it has the TWRP folder.
I tried to upload a small text file, that went OK, then i uploaded the new ROM file and after 5-8 sec i get a popup on the PC telling me the "device has either stopped working or has been disconnected".

I was a very happy user of E71 and Nokia Messaging until I decided to upgrade to fw 410. Because it broke the Internet connections, I had to reconfigure my phone from scratch (thanks for that) including a new version of Nokia Messaging (9.07). Because it didn't want to configure my gmail account (it took forever to validate or connect to server), I figured I could remove my Nokia Email account and reactivate it again. I disabled trial and I cannot reenable it back - I can log in to email.nokia.com website, but I cannot remove or add new email accounts there. If I try to register, after I give my phone number, website advises me to download Nokia Messaging from my phone again.
How to reactivate my Nokia Messaging account? How to set up my email again?
What happens when you “reactivate” your iPhone 2g with the i4 micro sim and micro sim adaptor? Wondering what happens with the data plan if you change over to the iPhone 2g in case of emergencies/unforeseen circumstances, or if you need a phone that is more acceptable for loss or damage. Will this change the unlimited aspects of the plan? Does this re-sign you up for 2 years from the reactivation of the 2g, or does it just continue service as one would think it should, as there is no subsidy or contract renewal going on.I know its early, but has anyone tried this yet?
Assuming att makes this a poor choice for users to swap phones when it is advantageous , what are the option for making the iPhone 2g compatible with the new micro sim and the i4 simultaneously? Is JBing and unlocking the 2g a option to make the sims compatible simultaneously? Can anyone definitively answer this question at this point? Also a side question, I know I will want unlimited data for the foreseeable future, are there any precautions that I can take to lock myself in so att cant change my unlimited data to a limited plan? I have heard that some have called in and requested that there be a note on the account that no changes be made to the data plan without written conformation, is this a prudent solution to the issue?
Just as the headline sounds, out of nowhere Touch ID turned itself off. It's not that it's even rejecting my fingerprints--it's not even attempting to scan. If I go into settings, I can see that the toggle has been turned off for iPhone Unlock and iTunes/App Store purchases and all of my fingerprints are missing. When I try to switch the toggle on and go to add new fingerprints, I get the message "Failed, Sorry the operation was not successful. Please go back and try again."

So I accidentally deleted files off my internal storage in an attempt to free it up (it said miscellaneous but didn't realise this included all my received whatsapp pics and videos).
So I've read that I need to root my phone in order to try recover these, I've so far downloaded odin and ran the pda which passed. Then I put SUSuper I think on my internal storage and from this point my phone stopped following the tutorial.
My Galaxy S5 (T-Mobile) has "invisible/mystery" files that are using up almost 2 GB of my phone's storage capacity. According to the "details" from the 1 main folder - it has 2 GB of memory used within it. BUT, according to the "details" for the 2 inside folders - the ones contained WITHIN the main folder - the memory used ACTUALLY adds up to LESS THAN 1 MB, between the 2 of them! And, the "details" for EACH of the 2 inside folders, separately, also CONFIRMS the 1 MB TOTAL. How do I delete these "invisible" files? They're not only wasting a huge chunk of my phone's storage capacity, but they're also causing my phone to run slower and not operate properly - since it's nearing its internal storage capacity limit.
