When I drag a video from explorer to the external memory video folder on the phone, it is copied to the internal memory! Is there a way to move items from explorer directly to external memory (SD card)?
View 1 RepliesMy photos and videos are auto saved to my SD card. The videos play very choppily. I am trying to move some to my phone memory. I can view them under photos, camera roll. But when I go to file explorer, only photos , not videos show up in that folder?? What do I do?

View 3 Replies View Relatedi have just been given a 8120 and after a lot of hard work just about figured it out. The bloke who gave it to me cant remeber much about it so couldn't help me with much. The problem is that i downloaded a few things from blackberry world and a box came up saying i didn't have enough space to continue yet the memory card says it's just about empty. I tried going through the manual but couldn't find the answer there and i even took it to the phone shop. He couldn't help but he did tell me something i didn't know. He said i have to pay £5 a month for the blackberry service!

I can't figure out how to get the pictures off the memory card to the internal memory so I can put the 2gb memory card back into my tour that it came with. I don't want to use Roxio because it messes up my computer and the Menu > Move doesn't move it to the internal memory!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Sony Xperia Z3 16GB version and Recently I had been to a hiking trip and had used my Xperia Z3 on the trip extensively for photos and vidoes. I have taken as much as 600 photos and few videos of size 2.9 GB. Since the phone memory was getting full, i moved the images,videos using the "Move Files to SD Card" option found under "Settings --> Storage".

The Transfer finished successfully and the phone memory was relieved. Now after this transfer, i can't open any images moved to SD card. They all were moved to "DCIM --> 100ANDRO" folder.Â

This is such a mess and I tried a few tools for recovering the images. They didn't woork for me. How to recover these photos? These are memories from a Trip which I can do only once in life time.

The jpeg image properties show up the File Size clearly which means that the content is still there but somehow corrupted.
I am trying to move music files from the media card to the device memory. I have accessed Blackberry website and followed the instructions but my menu does not give the option to 'Move'. This is a replacement handset and apparently software etc has been upgraded since I got the previous one 7 months ago. I want to use music as a ring tone (I am also having problems downloading music but that's another story). Can anyone out there help as I am at the point where I might just flush the thing down the loo and go back to a basic mobile!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just set up MotoCast, and it's pretty awesome (I had no idea, because I have been using doubletwist this whole time). I do have two questions about downloading music to the phone via MotoCast.1.) Is there a way to designate downloads to go to the External SD card instead of internal memory? It seems like it will only go to internal memory until you max it out and it gives you the option to move things to the external card. This seems like a silly step, couldn't it just go directly to the external card?2.) My music displays in playlists when streaming from my computer, but when I select download a playlist and disconnect from the computer (in a no-data environement) the playlist disappears and all of my music is just dumped into the app unoragnized. Is there a way to maintain the playlist after data is dropped and you can't access your computer?

I also tried to change the setting of the email app to save all messages to the SD card, but it would not allow it.
I have to use my phone in mass storage mode in order for it to be seen by my car stereo (Alpine x305s). However, It appears that you can only access the internal memory of the phone in this mode. Strangely, it does have a folder called external_sd, but this seems to reference a folder on the internal space. How I can access my external (32 gig) card.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI'm unable to access my videos or music as a message is displayed saying 'not enough memory'. My internal storage says I have used 739MB and have 1.2GB free. My external 8GB micro sd card shows I have 5.6GB available. However, my usb storage says I've used 12GB and have no free space. I guess the usb storage is the problem (unless there is something else) and I would like to know how I came to fill up the usb storage when I thought I was saving things to my external 8GB sd card.how to rectify the problem and also how to manage it in the future?

This problem only occurs when I have the microSD card in the phone because when I take it out and record a video, the video is smooth and does not lag. I have restored the phone to factory settings and this problem still occurs. What should I do? I will try to post clips soon.

I've always stored my music in folders sorted by artist and never bothered with tagging as long as the file names started with numbers. I have over 300 gigs in music so I'm not about to start tagging now. my 32 gig sd card has 4500 music files.The music player doesn't play nice with my sorting - artist view winds up showing the same artists 10 times or sorts out compiltation albums while folder view has every single album (300-400 or so) sorted alphabetically.
I would like to go into the external sd card and play directly from there. I can do that, but only a single track will play and you can't use any other apps or browse when the track plays. Am I stupid or something?This is the main reason why I've always used Cowon music players or my sansa clip, I can simply go into folders and play. I have media monkey and love it but even there I use the folder directory.

I have just converted some films using Badaboom and have my photos from my iPhone 4 waiting to go on to new phone.o I just copy the files I want straight across onto the memory card as they are or will I need to format the card 1st to put on any file structures that may be required?
View 2 Replies View RelatedTwo Samsung U800, two 8GB micro-SD cards, about 6,000 files of mixed type (videos, music, pictures) in a lot of folders and sub-folders and those files are supposed to be on both memory cards in identical orders to be used in both phones. Either phone refuses to see some of the files even though they very clearly are on the respective memory card.
Reformatted the cards multiple times, uploading the files taking for ever, only to find that now some other files are "not there" according to the phone while they are pretty damn well "there" according to the computer. Pushing the sam files again via bluetooth results in "file name in use" so the phone KNOWS the files are there, just refuses to show them.
Every time I try to download an app the phone says not enough storage available, but all the storage in the sd card is available. I need to make he ad card the main storage...

View 1 Replies View Relatedmy PC can't read it any more. When I plug it into the card reader, it is detected, but always with a message like "The disk in drive H: is not formatted. Do you want to format it now?". The card seems to work fine in the phone, all the data is available. I didn't used to have this issue before, but I wouldn't be able to tell you off hand when I last used the card via card reader.
So my first guess was that some recent firmware upgrade may have changed the filesystem on the mem card. I downloaded the ext2/3 drivers from ext2fsd.com , but that didn't help either. I haven't yet had a chance to connect the phone via USB directly and explore the card that way, but it usually takes quite long to transfer files that way. So what can I try to get Windows to read the card? Is it a filesystem issue? Has anybody seen this before?I am running Android 4.0.3 on Samsung firmware (I9100DXLPA).
