Samsung Galaxy S II :: Fixing Application Error Specific To It?

my application (A.S.W.) on the android market has gotten several recent comments that it does not work on the Samsung Galaxy S2. I have been looking for an error in the application, have created an AVD using the S2 spec, but cannot recreate the error. Google Statistics tell me that there are 40+ users with the S2, however, I have gotten no crash/freeze reports from those users. At this point I am stuck and looking for some help to continue troubleshooting the problem, so I have come to this forum in hope of getting some detailed feedback on my applications performance on the S2. I've just upgraded my Galaxy S II to ICS, and since upgrading I can't receive any phone calls from a specific number. However, I don't actually receive any phone call, just a missed call in my call log, with a weird symbol (attached). I can't find this symbol in the user-manual, or via a Google search.I'm on O2, and the caller has a HTC Desire (Froyo) on Vodafone.

New to the forum and only had my phone for a couple of days. I'd like some help though. I have moved a couple of apps to my Home Screen and now want to delete it from "Applications" but when I go to Applications and long press the icon and drag it to the trash bin it doesn't delete.

I have an Sii gt-i9100g running ICS 4.03 (non-rooted). Recently I've been getting an error when applications try to update: "Application cannot be installed in the default install location".
So I checked my phone storage.
phone memory: 1.97Gb
Applications: 647mb
Free: 247mb
USB storage has about 10.5Gb available.
I uninstalled a few applications I didn't need on a regular basis and then the phone was able to update the installed applications successfully. I went in to application management and there's no option to move the installed applications to USB storage (I don't have an external SD card). So this raises a few concerns:
1: How come there's a mystery 1.1 gigabytes that isn't accounted for in the phone storage? I thought all of Android ICS was stored in that missing 4GB of USB storage memory...
2: If the phone doesn't allow further installations to phone memory when there's only about 200mb available, and if the phone has reserved 1.1 gigabytes for some hidden purpose, then is it true that without buying an SD card, we only really have about 700MB available for applications?!
3: Why isn't the option to move applications to USB storage available under ICS? I believe this was available in Gingerbread.
I'm new to the SII, but if its the case that this supposedly 16GB device only truly has 700MB available for apps without an External SD card, then I'm gonna be pretty angry.

I have the Galaxy S6 and cannot install certain apps. I keep the error message "unknown error during application install 501" when trying to install apps like SwiftKey, Antutu, CPU-Z, and almost any benchmark apps. Never really encountered this before. Even when finding the APK online I cannot install it successfully.

Feeling can't get unlocked in a short time, so I return my Bell Galaxy S to future shop yesterday. Before return, of course, I reset it to factory setting. But after that, when I tried the GPS, it won't work well.If you do a Google search "galaxy s gps issue", you'll find quite a few complaining about the US version of galaxy s gps problem. But not sure our Bell version could have the same issue too?Here are my steps to reproduce the problem:
1) Do a factory reset.
2) manually delete some directories in the internal SD, since the factory reset didn't do it.
3) dial "*#*#1472365#*#*", it will take u to the GPS debug mode. Tap the "get position", it will try to connect gps and calculate the position.Before resetting, it was quite fast, in 5-10 seconds it will give you the position info.But after resetting, the position info never shown, though at the bottom those satellites info still shown (about 8 of them shown). But very strange, the position info not come out.
4) So I tried reset to factory setting again. then try step 3).Still the same result.
I was wondering if any dir/file was deleted by me in the internal SD which could be the cause of the gps issue? But it's not logical. First the the "factory resetting" is suppose to do everything it needs to set it to original state (I did two resetting). Second, I guess those system apps are installed in the internal flash memory, instead of internal SD.But as those satellites info still there, so I assume the hardware still working, while it could be something wrong with the testing software?And I didn't try other GPS apps, like map or navigon. I don't want to set everything up since I reset it for return.Though, I really like galaxy s, and thinking of get it again once 3rd part unlock is available. But this GPS issue really worries me.So folks, could you please try the same thing and test the GPS. If more people can reproduce it, then it will be real problem, though I hope mine is the special case?

new user of Samsung Galaxy S2 - had problems setting up phone initially for WAP but seems to be ok - but SOMETIMES when i try to send texts it fails and i get a message 'server response error' - this happened this morning when i replied to a text - so no. is correct and no pictures were sent to me - does anyone have an idea why this is happening and how i correct it without risking messing up my APN settings?

Starts normally and goes on to charging applications. Start showing messages saying "Sorry! The application TW Launcher has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again" and the button FORCE CLOSE
Cannot make calls, cannot receive Call, also did try holding the power button in for a while and resetting it that way.

I'm consistently getting an error when trying to backup my call log in Kies (2.3.2.12054_20). I can backup everything else but the call log. I get this on 2 computers I have.
This is the error I get:
Data backup cannot proceed because of an unexpected error. Please connect the device and try backing up again.
Is "Root" required for the call log to be backed up? If so, how is this done on the S II?

I have a Blackberry Curve 8530 tying to sync up the out book with Outlook 2007 with Blackberry Desktop Manager Version 5.01.28 and i am getting the following error during the sync:Connector Specific Error.I have search the forums, and I have tried a host of items that does not seem to be working Was working, but just recently stopped. Keep getting the "connector specific error" when syncing Calendar with the Desktop software (address book, memos and tasks work OK). My wireless syncing I turned off. I don't have an enterprise account. I have the latest desktop software (6.1.0.36). Device: BOLD 9900. Should note that I did not have this problem before when syncing. Only started about a month ago. Have different games, news applications such as Bloomberg, Address book cleaner, and battery booster.

believe the source of the problem to be a faulty install of ICS plus a later rooting, as the phone would intermittently go from Android Phone to Unable to Recognize USB Device, to just not being able to recognize the phone. I've uninstalled KIES along with the drivers and installed them back again to no avail. Is it possible to flash the phone with a working Android version without using the computer - through the SD card?

I have had my SG2 (On three with "all you can eat data") for about two weeks and the last week I keep getting a tethering block, several times a day, when using internet or network error while using apps. this can only be fixed by rebooting the phone. I have not used the phone for tethering or as a wifi hot spot so don't know why its doing it. I have replaced the sim card and done a factory reset on the phone but it is still doing it. When I get the error in the internet app there's a link to the three website which does work.

When syncing device (BB storm 1 9500) the device and the computer talk and compare each others records. When I click accept changes I get an error message from Intellisync "Connector specific error" and synchronization stops. I have checked my wife's device (BB storm 1 9500) and this problem does not occur. I use the same USB port, cable, and folder with all the same options. I therefore assume it is a fault with my device.

When syncing with BB desktop software, addresses sync fine but Caledar will not. It stops cold stating "Connector Specific Error". And nothing else.Have reset it several times but it does not help.
