Samsung Galaxy S II :: Lines Through Photo And Video?
Jul 8, 2011
I have had my Galaxy SII for around six weeks now and very happy with it but unfortunatly my camera seems to have developed a fault just a few days back. It has three thin black vertical lines down the left of the screen if i view as a portrait or along the bottom if viewed as landscape. The lines are always on the screen when the camera display is active and in any pic or video I would take.
Unfortunately, one of the first things i noticed upon unpacking it is that the screen has some strange gold colored lines in the upper part of the screen. The lines are most visible when bright light is shone onto the screen e.g. a flashlight, lamp or out in the sun. They are most visible on dark colors or when the screen is turned off.It looks as though the lines could be some sort of seem lines between two display pieces that are joined or bonded together. Does Samsung patch the screens together from multiple pieces?I am not really happy about these particular lines that are present in the screen.
I have a s2. About a month ago it started showing horizontal grey lines across the bottom of the screen. If I turn it off/on then they sometimes disappear completely and sometimes worse than before I turned it off. Following other posts on the net, tried turning my brightness up and if I turn it up all the way the lines never appear. The only problem is that I can't use the phone at this level of brightness. would be grateful if someone could post a fix. I kinda remember reading about screen tests you can do on the phone itself but can't find it again. Maybe if I could re-calibrate the screen that would fix it?
I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S5 (sm-g900f). Sometimes the screen just freeze, and grey lines appears (as in this picture goo.gl/qIdGg7 ).
The main button and the power still working, as I can see the white light turning on and off as usual after pressing them. And after click the power button once (which turn off the display), the screen remains black.
The phone is actually still working, as I can ear it ringing or receiving messages and email.
But I cant do anything, just take off the battery and restart it. I already reset it and the problem keeps happen again.
I tried following the instructions from 2014 posted online but my app doesn't have the same settings. I am just using the video player that came standard with the camera app. Is this the standard samsung video app? There is no settings option or capture option. Video editor doesn't take screenshots either.
Recently upgraded OS to Ice Cream Sandwhich and noticed a few changes seems all good but when I receive a photo in a SMS I can't save it like I was able to before where you only had to save the attachement. Now I don't have that option under the menu button and therefore I can't foward the message save to PC or anything else I could before.
When i take photo's it displays them in the gallery ok but when I try to open them it just displays black with a grey box with a break through the middle of it
I am one of 5 people I know with galaxy sII. 2 of us have no problems with mms but the other 3 receive mms and the attached photo is not visible and a "downloading" message is in the message and the picture never actually ever appears. When the same people try to send an message with a photo attached it just says "sending" indefinitely until deleted. We have compared what functions are "ticked" in the message settings and we all have "auto retrieve" ticked and nothing else ticked. Is there something else that needs to be done?
Looking through my album some of my photos now have grey lines across the bottom, distorted quality, half the photo is at the resolution I took it at then the other half is a different colour an quality.
Can only delete one photo at a time, then it comes back? if I try to delete more than one photo deletion screen freezes and I need to reboot, I have bout 300 unwanted photos downloaded from Google picassa.
This is the 2nd time I have to send my cellphone for repairs after been crashing basically since day 3.Last time I sendt it in, they just wiped the whole phone and did a ROM update, the same day I got the phone back it was crashing again.Paying 5.000 NOK for a phone that is just terrible is sad. Saddest part is that I bought 2, one for me and my gf, her phone crashes sometimes. while mine is just trash.all this makes me wonder if the HTC Sense 3.0 is broken?
I was filming my family and the video stuttered and stopped altogether after a few seconds. Then the app went to a green screen (totally green) and I couldn't fix it. I had to reboot the phone to get it to work normally. Is that normal?
Recording is fine with the stock camera app, BUT none of the other market apps I've tried can record in HD. e.g. 'aLapRecorderHD', 'Daily Roads Voyager', etc. The market Apps seems to record OK @ 720x480 or anything below. All of the apps I've tried produce corrupt HD video with green artefacts all over the screen. They all work OK on my Nexus1 @ both 720p & 1080pCould anyone with a newer firmware?, try one of the above market apps and see if HD video can be recorded?
Just bought the sgs2 and cant seem to send videos to other mobile phones.Keep getting a message showing (Video file to large).Hmm this might be a silly question but here i go.How the heck do i shrink the file.I take it that the file is ment to be MMS? is this correct and ifso how can i change it over.I was told once that you dont need a long neck to be a goose.
I can't find them in any files. They show up on my phone in the gallary. My phone is plugged into computer. I can see pics to transfer them, but no video.
i just bought a samsung vibrant and after looking at videos sample test on Internet. what's the best setting for video on a samsung vibrant? can you tell me the best setup for the settings if i'm trying to record it as hd.
When I was using Nokia N97, I had an option to use video files as Phone's ringtone. I tried to do the same on my GT-I9100 (ICS 4.0.3) but i am not able to do the same.
I have a problem with my new SGS2 and could not find anywhere a solution for this. When I record a video there is no sound recorded also, only the image... In the camera application there is no option for enable/disable this feature like in the SGS1.
This is my first post and I'm new to the Galaxy S2. I took ownership of a new phone early this week (S2) and did the firmware upgrade over Kies - this seemed to make sense given that it was the official latest release firmware.
I tried to use BBC iPlayer last night. The first time I ran it, it said I needed Flash. It took me to the market and I downloaded Adobe Flash 11.0. I tried iPlayer again. All the menus, navigation etc work, but when I select a program it doesn't show any video. I don't even get the little triangle to click on to play it. I went to the iPlayer website and tried viewing from there - I assume that uses Flash as well, and all worked fine, video and sound.
I'm very new at using Android, and followed a bunch of tutorials to root and delete all the bloatware apps that my gs2 came with.I replaced the stock camera app with Camera Zoom FX, and noticed that the app would crash and force close when I tried switching to video mode.I installed other video-recording apps only to find that they would crash as well.My camera works fine but I think I may have deleted somethin relating to video-recording; is there a way to restore the function
Who has used the GS II for Video Conferencing? Is it possible to use AllShare while Video Conferencing so I can see the video feed and sound on a large screen TV or Projector?
