Looking through my album some of my photos now have grey lines across the bottom, distorted quality, half the photo is at the resolution I took it at then the other half is a different colour an quality.
View 5 RepliesI have a s2. About a month ago it started showing horizontal grey lines across the bottom of the screen. If I turn it off/on then they sometimes disappear completely and sometimes worse than before I turned it off. Following other posts on the net, tried turning my brightness up and if I turn it up all the way the lines never appear. The only problem is that I can't use the phone at this level of brightness. would be grateful if someone could post a fix. I kinda remember reading about screen tests you can do on the phone itself but can't find it again. Maybe if I could re-calibrate the screen that would fix it?
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy Xperia Z2 is producing images with extreme distortion. Lines are almost never straight. This occurs both with the default camera apps as well as third-party apps such as Google Camera or Camera MX.
I sent in the phone to my local Sony repair partner in Germany (w-support), who are returning the phone, saying it "meets the manufacturer's specifications." I can't believe this, the pictures look horrible!
The phone I now have is a replacement of a previous warranty case. I attached some pictures from the original phone and the new one (replacement).
I have the lastest pushed OS (Lollipop 5.0.2 I believe?) and the problem also occurs after a complete reset of the phone. The camera on this phone is basically worthless with images looking like this.
I own an Xperia Z3. My problem is that few of my photos becomes completely or 80-90% grey. It's an absolutely disturbing problem. I save my photos to a 64GB SD card.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a relatively severe issue with the Bluetooth audio quality on my phone. It sounds pretty much exactly like 64kbits MP3, you can especially hear it in the high frequencies. It's somehow distorted and unclear and extremely annoying as it ruins the experience totally.
Everyone who heard sound over my Bluetooth devices has heard this.The weird thing: I experienced this with both my Galaxy S5 (G900F) and my Galaxy S6 (G920F) and every single Bluetooth device that is connected to them. I tried it with my Logitech Bluetooth Audio Adapter, Denon AVR X1100W, Logitech Boombox and my car stereo Kennwood KDC-BT35U. The audio quality is always the same.
However, with my Nexus 5, my Galaxy Tab S8.4 and my Laptop, the audio quality over Bluetooth is great! Also, if I use the headphone jack on my Galaxys, it sounds just fine. I mostly use Spotify and Google Play Music, but the problem is not there since it sounds great when using a cord.
I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S5 (sm-g900f). Sometimes the screen just freeze, and grey lines appears (as in this picture goo.gl/qIdGg7 ).
The main button and the power still working, as I can see the white light turning on and off as usual after pressing them.
And after click the power button once (which turn off the display), the screen remains black.
The phone is actually still working, as I can ear it ringing or receiving messages and email.
But I cant do anything, just take off the battery and restart it. I already reset it and the problem keeps happen again.
My BB 8530 started to display a discoloring and distorted screen quality. Must remove battery to correct problem.

I tried Resetting my Phone and Restarting it and it still doesn't fix it.

4 days back faint gray lines started appearing on the bottom of the screen. After another day a small black spot appeared on one side of the grey lines and it has been growing since then.
I visited Apple Service Centre yesterday. They could not diagnose the issue so they sent some pictures to the Singapore team for escalation. I had a word with the singapore team today and they tell me that the black spot is likely due to pressure damage and they will not cover this under warranty.
On being quizzed further, they do not have any clue why the grey lines have occurred.
On being asked how come there are no other signs of damage either to my touchscreen or to my screen body, they hilariously replied the pressure damage is from inside the phone.
When asked how they think I could have applied pressure from inside my phone, they are clueless again.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have had my Galaxy SII for around six weeks now and very happy with it but unfortunatly my camera seems to have developed a fault just a few days back. It has three thin black vertical lines down the left of the screen if i view as a portrait or along the bottom if viewed as landscape. The lines are always on the screen when the camera display is active and in any pic or video I would take.

The main difference is that any image shot in daylight, appears on the PC (and every other device) as if it is smeared in a blue tint. I can partially correct the image, but that is such a long and exhaustive process.
do I need another app to print quality photos? there does not seem to be any options in the camera tools, I am taking photos using 16m. When loaded onto a memory stick and pc then displayed. they are not shown as full screen, therefore I doubt that they will make good photo prints?

I've just recently got my 1020, I love it, I'm new to Windows Phone, I've been on iPhone since it's inception. When I take a photo on the 1020, and view it straight after, is it showing me the 41mp (or 34mp perhaps) version or the 5mp version? In settings it's set to take both 5mp and 34mp. But it seems as though the quality of the photos is quite low, especially when you zoom in a little! I'm still trying to work out if there's an improvement when I export it to the computer, maybe this is something to do with viewing it on the phone? I used the HD Photo Viewer app, I didn't notice a difference but maybe I will after a take more photos.

I have a HTC Droid Eris and it has a 5 mp camera.I notice it takes decent pics...if I upload them directly from my phone to flickr the quality stays intact.but if I use the facebook uploader or upload it via the facebook app the quality diminishes

1. I set my camera for making picture with sizes 6M (16:9)
2. I took a photo and then I checked the file - it has resolution 3264x1832 but only 823k
It is too small for this resolution!!! If I will print it by 10x15, 20x30 or large it will be horrible picture.What should I check or set in my phone for taking nice photo for the big resolution?
And then upload the highest quality photo to an image hosting site (like imgur)?
I usually just email myself photos, but when I download them on my computer they are like less than 1mb so it looks like I'm getting a low quality image.

This is the 2nd time I have to send my cellphone for repairs after been crashing basically since day 3.Last time I sendt it in, they just wiped the whole phone and did a ROM update, the same day I got the phone back it was crashing again.Paying 5.000 NOK for a phone that is just terrible is sad. Saddest part is that I bought 2, one for me and my gf, her phone crashes sometimes. while mine is just trash.all this makes me wonder if the HTC Sense 3.0 is broken?

View 6 Replies View RelatedEver since I got the Iphone 4S, it's been corrupting my pictures occasionally during import. It's sad, because I usually have it set to delete the image after importing, so the uncorrupted image is lost forever. Below is an example of how the import destroyed a really nice picture of our newborn baby.
I'm running snow leopard, with iphone version 5.1. Originally I was using iphoto to do the import, but I read somewhere that image capture might fix this problem. But the problem still occurs even with image capture. Sometimes there are multiple "color lines" through the picture, although the one below only has one. Also, sometimes the image doesn't just change color across the line. It can also become misaligned, so tweaking the color isn't enough.
I'm not sure about this, but I think the problem may occur more frequently when I have a lot of apps sharing CPU. So I suspect it's a bug related to context switching. I'm not sure whether snow leopard or the iphone is the problem, although I don't remember it occuring with my older iphone 4.
I have noticed the problem tends to occur in batches of consecutive photos, which is why I think it has to do with memory swapping due to concurrent applications.
I've had this phone for about a week now and just noticed that the sound gets distorted when playing music every now and then.
I listen to music on the way to work but after work when I try it, it's cracking/stuttering/skipping, basically unlistenable.
At first I thought it was black player but then the same thing happened on the music app. Different headphones didn't work, it's even happening on the speakers with headphones unplugged. But I've found it is only happening on music as I played a movie at the same time ; the music was shtting itself but the movie audio was fine.
The only sure fix is to restart the phone. Even then, after once I do something else and come back to music, it's all distorted again. Music is on internal storage. Don't have an sd yet...

View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased an Xperia Z3, love the device but experiencing a MAJOR issue with voice calls being distorted when connected to WIFI. The person on the other side of the call can hear me fine but the line on my side of the call is all distorted and garbled. If I switch off WIFI or disconnect from WIFI then the voice calls work perfectly fine. The issue only occurs when I'm connected to WiFi. There seems to be multiple reports of this issue on Whirlpool forums and mainly for Optus customers. My partner's Xperia Z3c is also having the same issue. I returned one Z3 due to this issue and was given a replacement but the issue still persists on the replacement...
View 10 Replies View RelatedRight now my Xperia Play screen is messed up screen. It started today when sliding the gamepad would freeze the system. Now, the screen is making this grey screen (pictures below) and freezes. Sliding out the gamepad and sliding it in seems to unfreeze it for a few seconds sometimes. Though, mostly, there's this. Is there any way I can maybe completely wipe my phone and reinstall Android? I have already flashed it a few times. Or is this a hardware issue and will I have to go to AT&T to see if I'm able to get a new phone?
