Odd thing is that in the settings, it still shows fingerprint. Am I missing something ? When I put it on pattern though, it has no issues , and always has the pattern every time I turn e screen on.
View 7 Replies View RelatedJust updated via Samsung Apps the camera firmware to a CDE11 or something version. Took 4 minutes to update and flash this firmware. I wonder what exactly it changed in the camera firmware? Hopefully improved things or bug fixes.I will test a few videos and see if the bitrate has changed or not.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI bought a nexus yesterday and have been unable to register it with the American samsung site (no options for us canadians there) not to mention the fact that after typing in my serial the site says my handset was manufactured 1/31/1993!
On the canadian site which i have all my other samsung products registered, there is no listing for my model number (GT-I9250TSDTLS (this is whats on the box, phone menu just lists my model as Samsung Galaxy Nexus, though the label under that battery shows GT-I9250M as the model number..how am I supposed to register my phone?[URL]..shows that galaxy owners can get a free copy of angry birds space... how do I get that?
Word on the street is that there may be a refreshed Samsung Galaxy Nexus coming. I wasrReading over at Android and Me and this thread caught my attention:The rumors state that there is going to be a refreshed camera. Possibly along the way of 8.0MP. On top of that, the processors are scheduled to be refreshed using The faster SGX544 GPU is included with Texas Instruments upcoming OMAP4470 processor. This is the successor to the original OMAP4460 found in the Galaxy Nexus, that includes the older SGX540 GPU.With the Sprint version of the Galaxy Nexus coming soon we'll have to wait and see if they are in fact getting a refreshed model or the LTE based model that Verizon has currently, Either way, I hope they do launch a refresh on the HSPA+ line as well. I use the Galaxy Nexus and while I love the phone, I wish the camera was better. Faster is always better as well so I'll take the processor bump.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI was thinking of buying the s2x telus version from craigslist. I was wondering if someone who bought the phone from telus sells me this phone, would I be able to enjoy the 1 year manufacturer warranty? I understand that the warranty starts when the phone is first bought. I'm just wondering if that warranty will be transferred to me under these scenerios?
1. If the seller had bought the phone from telus outright.
a. If the seller has kept the original receipt and gives it to me.
b. If the seller has lost the original receipt and does not provide me with it.
2. If the seller had bought the phone as an upgrade.
a. if the seller has kept the original receipt and gives it to me.
b. If the seller has lost the original receipt and does not provide me with it.
In case I do get to enjoy the warranty, will I be taking my phone to a telus store if it needs repair or will I send the phone directly to the manufacturer? I don't plan to use the phone with the telus network after I purchase it.
I just purchase my sg2 phone yesterday. Unfortunately, my brother has used my phone last night and register the Samsung account in it by using his email or id. When I tried to change the account, it cannot be done cause I have to do the factory reset in privacy setting (which will erase all my personal info and downloaded applications). I don't want that to happen as well. Plus, my my brother can't even remember what the password he has used for the Samsung account I'm very pissed off now that my Samsung account belong to him and the fact that I can't do the factory reset because of him. I'll mention again, he forgot the password he used for MY SAMSUNG ACCOUNT IN MY SG2.

I can Bluetooth individual songs but both phones will be out of date by the time I finish!
not much difference in the galaxy family that i can imagine (although i haven't dug around to know exactly) but besides the fact that there is no where to place the stylus on the S2, will the stylus or "S - Pen" as i've read it called work with the phones? or is there something more technical involved that will not allow this to work? and if it does work, where do you buy one (or two or three as replacements) ;-)
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Galaxy S II has the annoying habit of having its screen go into idle or sleep mode and then blacken when I'm on a call. I want to have the "Phone" screen showing up at all times when I'm on a call, so I can access the speakerphone, etc. Is there a way to "lock" the screen in "Phone" mode when I'm on a call?

View 1 Replies View Relatedmy nokia x7 smartphone ( if its smart enough - i guess) switches off automaticall after every action. you call some one , access internet, download a file, recieve a call, listen to music...it has to switch off. have noticed this defect after i upgraded to a software available on the Nokia Site. Much to my amusement i was informed that i should not have updated the software of my phone via the web. Then WHY do you have it there????? Also now the software update section for the x7 handset has been taken off the website. they say that end of december Belle will be available with x7. it seems there are pretty serious problems with Anna. hope Nokia does something big time about this as a new phone just launched a couple of months in the market is playing up seriously with other couple of problems (dust under the screen restarting to name few! what a comeback Nokia with the launch of their so called Gamin Device.

Since January I have had srious problems with my Iphone 3GS. Without any warning the screen goes blank, but when I look closely there is a broad darker band running down the whole length of the screen. I am only able to take a maximum of 2-3 photos and if I try to connect to the web 3 minutes usage time is the maximum. I then connect the phone (if I am able) to a power supply and after the apple logo appears, it is followed by a battery symbol showing almost zero power. This is shortly followed by the audible sound that the phone makes as it picks up the power and the battery symnbol immediately reverts back to the status it was before the 'shutdown', this morning it was 83%. Also when i switch on the phone, the battery symbolin the top right hand corner is not green, it is white. I have taken the phone back to a brand-new phone & shut down location services, push notifications, backlight etc...but this awful situation continues!!
As my phone is not on contract and is nearly 2 and a half years old I feel that Apple have me by the proverbial 'short and curlies'. My iPhone is used on a daily basis and I must admit that I am lost without the reliabilty of it's functions. I also feel that for the cost of the phone, the battery should surely have a longer life!
I would be willing to have the battery renewed if I thought that it was failing, but is it, or habe Apple dropped a clanger and it is a software fault that they are unwillinmg to disclose, due to the backlash from it's customer base and the possible loss of future sales. As I was in the market for a desktop this summer, that is a substansial lossin sales from this one customer alone!

For no apparent reason ie not connected with anything I've done to the phone, the camera has started turning on & off almost randomly, regardless of whther the slide cover or the lock key are engaged. Sometimes the cycle is a few seconds, sometimes several minutes. The firmware is up to date, and there are no other obvious problems. Help, please!
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have had my lumia 800 phone for a couple months now and it has twice died in the middle of the night for no obvious reason. The battery hasn't been dead - this morning when I finally got it to turn on again afrer several tries of pusging the power button, it had 22% of battery left. First time it was something similar, if not more. Really annoying, since the phone is also my alarm clock!

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy 9700 turns itself off randomly even after a full charge to the point that its off almost all the time these days. I have to turn it back on by pressing the power button at which point it reboots from scratch taking upto 2 mins for the phone to come to life. I have reinstalled the OS (6) and also had the phone "reflashed" by the service provider all to no avail. I deleted all my apps but it hasnt cured the problem. The battery was replaced about 4 months ago so i dont suspect the battery (but i could be wrong as it was a generic blackberry battery). Do you have any suggestions on how to fix the issue? I dont want to have to bin my blackberry but its quite worthless as a phone right now as i cant depend on it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI updated my my phone to 2.1v1. It is a new phone to me so not sure about its characteristics. When I bring the phone out of sleep by pressing the back button it will stay on for about 3 seconds then switch off. This without dragging the unlock button to unlock it. If I drag the unlock button it will stay on as usual. So is it normal for the phone to switch itself off after 2/3 seconds if the screen is untouched?
