I have a ROGERS Blackberry torch which i've had for about 5 months now. The phone laggs A LOT, randomly freezes, takes forever to send text's etc. The phoen is unlocked and is being used with BELL. My question is, who can I contact with regards to warranty repairs? Is there a way to contact RIM directly? or do I have to go through one of the providers?
View 7 Repliesmy 8520 curve won't read it's SD card? i know it's definitely not the card as my wife just got a new BB also and it came with a brand new card that can't be read either. Thought i could live with it. but can't. You can't have any music, video content etc. My first blackberry died in a pint of guiness (don't ask), i took the sd card out before the insurance claim and had my fingers crossed that it would have survived the black death, but when my new replacement BB came it couldn't read the card. which i thought was down to the black stuff - initially.However since then i've tried different cards leaving me to believe i may still have the data on the original and that the phone or card reader is cream-crackered?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI just got this phone in April, today I dropped it and a nick came out of the top right at the mute button. Rogers tells me that there's nothing they can/will do, except sell me a new phone. Since that's not an option, does anyone know where the phone can get repaired at? Rogers was no help at all.It's a sharp nick out of the plastic at the top, actually sharp to the touch. The screen and everything else is ok.I don't know what to do here, the phone is new and I don't want to spend another $400 to buy it considering I just got it 2 months ago!

The phone's trackball doesnt work(clicking the trackball scrolls up), and the volume up doesn't work either. I'm not really going to use the phone as cellular device, but I would rather just have it on my desk as a souvenir...in working condition as a backup.So I've decided to buy a new housing for it, probably fixing the trackball problem, and then this is where I'm not sure. Would the new housing fix the volume bar problem also? Or would I have to actual replace parts on the phone?

I dropped my iPhone 4 and the screen shattered. It still technically works, but it's kind of hard to see what I'm doing. I was told that Apple will give me a replacement phone for much cheaper than a new one. This seems too good to be true, as I've had the phone for more than a year and therefore it's past the warrantee expiration.

I have a water-damaged iPhone 3G S and since Apple switched their policy for liquid-damaged iPhone's, it says I can replace my iPhone for the Out-Of-Warranty price for $199. I did not purchase an AppleCare Protection Plan and was wondering if I am eligible for the Out-Of-Warranty price. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was told my an apple sales person tell me that if I lost my iphone, applecare would allow me to buy another one at $199. Since we just signed up for the 2 year contract with ATT, if we lost the phone, it would be full price. I know apple care doesn't cover water damage or cracked screen. Is there a deductible when it is sent it? I did call apple and no one seemed to know the details. I had gotten talked in to buying the Best Buy black tie protection plan, but I just couldn't handle the thought of $14.99 for two years.

I changed my contract from an iPhone 3GS to an iPhone 4 in may 2011. Since then my USB does not work properly and the earphones, well one ear works and the other doesn't. I then went online to check if I could get a replacement for both which I am still not sure that accessories are covered under tha warranty. Then I put my serial number and it said that my phone was out of coverage which doesn't make sense as I got the phone in may 2011 and it's only April 2012.Not a year yet.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI sent by N8 to a Nokia care point in October 2012 as the bottom piece that enters the battery compartment had broken in one corner and thought I'd better get it fixed before the warranty expired in November 2012. When it was returned I checked it turned on and reloaded some of the software, however I then requested an unlock code from orange UK and that was the end of that as I had already made my sim into a mini sim for my new Nokia 808. Although I have just received an unlock code from orange (another story altogether) however when I turned my phone on the battery was nearly depleted.When trying to charge it with the mini jack, the battery icon doesn't change to indicate it is charging, I have tried many different Nokia chargers with the mini jack and it does nothing. When I plug it into my laptop it recognizes it as a Nokia N8 and connects to Nokia suite OK, it then tries to charge showing the nokia logo, and dot sequence but then disappears and stops charging. I have also tried starting the charge on my 808 pureview USB charger and then plugging the charger back into the N8 to the same effect as plugging it into the laptop.

It doesn't click down like the rest of the buttons. I have a few scratches on the phone on the back piece and such. So does RIM cover this?
