IPhone :: Apple Care Warranty?

How many of you have had to have your iphone worked on? I bought the iphone a couple of years ago, and found the technical support here was much better. I was told my an apple sales person tell me that if I lost my iphone, applecare would allow me to buy another one at $199. Since we just signed up for the 2 year contract with ATT, if we lost the phone, it would be full price. I know apple care doesn't cover water damage or cracked screen. Is there a deductible when it is sent it? I did call apple and no one seemed to know the details. I had gotten talked in to buying the Best Buy black tie protection plan, but I just couldn't handle the thought of $14.99 for two years.

how do i buy applecare extended warranty for iphone ?i am overseas and my grandma will visit the NY store to setup extend the extended warranty - she knows nothing about gadgets...not even how to use a computer !if she goes to the apple store and pays $70,does the genius extend warranty extended electronically ? or do they give you a box which you bring home to setup and extend the warranty manually ?

I purchase the iPhone 4 with Telus and at the same time purchased and registered Apple Care to the device. The other day I decided to go with another provider that gave a better plan for the iPhone 4 and so I switched. My question is can I transfer the Apple Care to the new iPhone 4 and if so how do I do it?

next week I get my new (first) iPhone from Vodafone (Germany). An iPhone 4S, and as all know, the display is very critical. My old phone, fell very often down, but it was an HTC desire and so nothing happen. But I think, with a iPhone 4S I have not so much luck. That the reason, why I think about Apple Care. Is there a Coverage for broken displays? Or do I need Apple Care+? If I need Apple Care+, is this available for germany? Because I don't see it at the german page. I think I can buy it, but accept the apple care+ me from germany? And second question. Do I need the Apple Care for the first year of my iPhone? Because it's free for the first year if I understand it right, and then can buy it for the second year? Or do I understand it wrong? If this it right, again: are broken display covered for the first free/included year?

Can anyone tell me what is covered under the Apple 1 year warranty/ repairs and service coverage? I have coverage until Nov this year. (I do not have my purchase docs with me to look at.) I have cracked my screen completely and wandered how much it would cost for Apple to fix it. I do have insurance with my Orange contract the excess is £50 but as I only recently purchased the insurance it will take a week to process, alternatively a local company replaces the glass and screen for £45.

I never had the battery drain problem with my iPhone 4S but recently over the past month at least my battery seems to have degraded abnormally quickly, not the battery drain some had, but as in its simply not holding as much charge anymore & I got it on Oct 26, 2011.. if anything I would guess its abound 82% of its total capacity ALREADY & going by Apple's battery tips on their site it should be at 80% total capacity after 400 charge/discharge cycles, im lucky to have gone past 140 of those at best (was trying to count then lost the count). I have always followed proper battery care tips, the once a month full charge/discharge, dont let it get hot, leave out of sun etc. I still have the regular warrenty till Oct 26, 2012, would Apple replace my battery for no charge? If so I would want to do this soon before the warrenty is up.. This is concerning after just over 6 months my battery has less capacity than my 3GS did after 1 year of use.. & im a light/moderate user.

I dropped my iPhone 4 and the screen shattered. It still technically works, but it's kind of hard to see what I'm doing. I was told that Apple will give me a replacement phone for much cheaper than a new one. This seems too good to be true, as I've had the phone for more than a year and therefore it's past the warrantee expiration.

I have a water-damaged iPhone 3G S and since Apple switched their policy for liquid-damaged iPhone's, it says I can replace my iPhone for the Out-Of-Warranty price for $199. last week, my friend dropped my phone without it's case on a tennis court.Now the back is moving. It's weird.. I changed my contract from an iPhone 3GS to an iPhone 4 in may 2011. Since then my USB does not work properly and the earphones, well one ear works and the other doesn't. I then went online to check if I could get a replacement for both which I am still not sure that accessories are covered under tha warranty. Then I put my serial number and it said that my phone was out of coverage which doesn't make sense as I got the phone in may 2011 and it's only April 2012.Not a year yet.
