I was wondering about apple care for the iPhone. Do you think it is worth it? Tell me your experience/opinions on Apple Care for iPhone. What does it cover exactly? Does it suck? Is it a rip off? I pre ordered the iPhone 4 (my first iPhone) and I am debating on whether or not i need the extra insurance.

I purchase the iPhone 4 with Telus and at the same time purchased and registered Apple Care to the device. The other day I decided to go with another provider that gave a better plan for the iPhone 4 and so I switched. My question is can I transfer the Apple Care to the new iPhone 4 and if so how do I do it?

View 24 Replies View RelatedHow many of you have had to have your iphone worked on? I bought the iphone a couple of years ago, and found the technical support here was much better. I was told my an apple sales person tell me that if I lost my iphone, applecare would allow me to buy another one at $199. Since we just signed up for the 2 year contract with ATT, if we lost the phone, it would be full price. I know apple care doesn't cover water damage or cracked screen. Is there a deductible when it is sent it? I did call apple and no one seemed to know the details. I had gotten talked in to buying the Best Buy black tie protection plan, but I just couldn't handle the thought of $14.99 for two years.

next week I get my new (first) iPhone from Vodafone (Germany). An iPhone 4S, and as all know, the display is very critical. My old phone, fell very often down, but it was an HTC desire and so nothing happen. But I think, with a iPhone 4S I have not so much luck. That the reason, why I think about Apple Care. Is there a Coverage for broken displays? Or do I need Apple Care+? If I need Apple Care+, is this available for germany? Because I don't see it at the german page. I think I can buy it, but accept the apple care+ me from germany? And second question. Do I need the Apple Care for the first year of my iPhone? Because it's free for the first year if I understand it right, and then can buy it for the second year? Or do I understand it wrong? If this it right, again: are broken display covered for the first free/included year?

As of now, her phone's battery drains out very rapidly, even though she charged it for over a night. I am pretty sure the cause of the problem is from the old battery.
