My sister has a jailbroken iphone 2g on 3.0 firmware. We purchased the iphone when it first launched a few years ago. As of now, her phone's battery drains out very rapidly, even though she charged it for over a night. I am pretty sure the cause of the problem is from the old battery. My question is: is it worth the money and risk to change the battery, or should we just consider purchasing her a new iphone 3gs? Oh by the way, we live in China.
i've had this UX830 phone since 08 and i absolutely love it, but just can't pull the 60-100 for a good used one off ebay ha.anyways, the touch screen has been slowly taking a crap. are the touch screen/digitizer replacements on ebay worth it? are they just generic crap or what? i also read something about the master reset could maybe fix it? i'd like to try that but don't want to really lose all of my personal stuff on my phone.
having looked through some of the discussions, it seems that the battery life of the N70 is generally pretty bad, for whatever reason. and considering the price of a new one, and the fact that a lot of the companies selling them cheaply get pretty bad reviews.
I replaced the battery in my 16gb 3g and in the process of doing so broke the ring in the wifi cable where it is screwed to the housing after assembling everything, checking, double checking. iPhone will not turn on at all. At first I got a little red line showing a dead battery when I plugged it in, but I couldn't get it to turn on (pushed power and home button together, tried dfu etc etc). Opened it again to double check other cable connections, now it doesn't even show this red battery line anymore.
Does this cable just affect the antenna or could it have disrupted the whole iPhone from turning on?
I'm after a replacement battery for my Desire and there seems to be quite a bit of choice power wise on ebay. what's the best I can get without having to go down the route of having an extended back cover?
I buought my phone 4 months ago. In last two weeks, i turn off the phone but it can't turn-on sometimes without replacament battery. It updated with SEUS twice (first boot after flashing, fails all time) but nothing changed. And also checked withouth sim card & sd card, that problem occurs.
I recently bought a new battery for my Nexus 5 due to issues I was having with my old one. When I put the new battery in, the device gets through the boot, but begins turning off as soon as the lock screen appears. Putting the old battery back in makes the device work fine.
Just over a week ago my Storm 1 began giving me problems. Basically died. Started to do an insurance claim but went to the store first. They said, we'll just do an insurance replacement overnight. Ok, received the replacement the next day. Activated it with no problems, went to charge it and it would not charge. (This was the old battery from the first phone since one was not sent with the replacement.) Plugged into USB on computer, went haywire. Took it back to store where they took an hour to reload the software. Took phone back home, did the exact same thing. I went back to the store, where they gave me a new charger. Went back home, then 2 days ago, the battery will not charge at all. Went back to Verizon, ended up having to buy a new battery. Charged it fully.
Clarification: It was at 30% charge when I left the store with the new battery. Charged at work during the day up to about 75%. When I got home I put it on the home charger for at least 4 hours. It never got above 85% full. This morning down to 70%, and now after charging for 2.5 hours, still won't go over 70% charged. What the heck! All I want is a phone that works! What can I do at this point? After replacing phone, charger AND battery! Heck, I'd be happy to just get another phone. Like maybe an 8530. I wonder if that's possible or would I have to get another Storm 1? What should I do at this point? Call CS? Go back to store?
Just got my S2 replacement and upgraded to .428 before I even did the swap devices with the DM, and now this phone is set up just like my last one with all the same apps and it is absolutely killing the battery. I dont know what it could be, I have went through and checked the obvious to make sure it was all good( brightness, 1XEV only, no apps running in the background or updating, wifi off etc). I've lost 10% in less than 20 mins after a full charge. Maybe delete all the apps and reload them one by one again?
I recently lost the battery to my Blackberry Curve 9360, so I bought another one, but the shopowner said I needed activate it with my original battery? But I lost that one .. So what do I do now?
How many peeps are just adding anyone to gamecenter as a friend ? Is it worth it or is it better to stick to just friends that you actually know or chat with ?
I will be getting iphone insurance through Worth Ave Group?Ive had my iphone stolen recently and I dont really want to take the risk of getting it stolen again without having any insurance. Am I still able to get similar apps that mobileme has through jailbreaking it?
I was wondering about apple care for the iPhone. Do you think it is worth it? Tell me your experience/opinions on Apple Care for iPhone. What does it cover exactly? Does it suck? Is it a rip off? I pre ordered the iPhone 4 (my first iPhone) and I am debating on whether or not i need the extra insurance.
I have never bought a warrantee for an iPhone since I have never broken an apple device in like 15 years, but the new all glass phone makes me a little un easy. So is it worth the 100 bucks for 2 years or should I look into another alternative?
The only thing I _really_ wanted in iOS4 was multitasking but that's a no-go for the 3G. Are there any other things in the new OS to make it worth my while upgrading?
Im thinking of getting the Zagg invisible shield because I want my phone to be naked but still somewhat protected. Has anyone put the invisible shield on their iphone 4? If so should I get the full body or just the front and back? I'm also a little worried that it will unstick at some point and start to peel off. Any feedback would be great.
This is my third Tour (I just got this one a week ago) and with it sitting in my pocket where I have service, not running ANY applications, it is running hot and draining battery very quickly. Did a battery pull, double checked memory leaks, and nothing is taking care of it. It's draining at about 15% per hour. Any thoughts (other than Tours suck.)
I have looked online everywhere for a replacement battery and am unable to find one! Can you please direct me in the correct direction, and the battery required is as on the url supplied [URL] 3.7V 950 mAh Li-Polymer battery Measuring 40 x 35 x 5.5 mm and weighing in at a scant 18 grams?way of China or EU as it has already been four weeks that my battery crashed and would only work if plugged in continuously and now just does not work full stop!
can any user of the X6 tell me is it worth updating the software/firmware from V 11.0.007 to the newer version 21.0.004 as you probably loose all things installed on the phone when updating.
I like to get a new 5800 as it fits my needed features and the budget. but because it was released in 2008 it seems a little old phone. So do you guys think its worth buying the 5800? Or suggest another phone with similar specifications and price range.
Just wondering if anyone else has upgraded from their E72 to the E6 and are happy with their decision? Do you feel the price difference has been worth it?I've read the reviews (gmsarena, allaboutsymbian etc) but I prefer 'real world user' input...!
We've gone round and round about the release date, features, etc for months, but, with even more Verizon iphone rumors spreading, the real question is whether you are willing to waste your upgrade for this, or any rumored, Blackberry. For me personally, if I knew the iphone would hit Vz in the next 3 months, I'd continue holding off on any purchase to at least try an iphone on Vz. How about you?
Been a bb user since the s1 and love the s2. Granted the os needds work, but the device feels solid and the productivity on the device seems to be second to none..is this incredible worthit? i had a droid and actually sold it online and kept my s2 instead. I remember thinking that many apps and games for the droid are pretty silly..unless things have chanced..
are there many "good" games for the droid?not sure if the quality control is there for the droid considering its open source..I use my bb for email and voice dialing which is critical. which do you think if a better device overall? speed aside?
I do feel that the s2;s screen is great..I love the clicking.. but im wondering if and when the s3 comes out, they will upgrade the horsepower..as I think that is one of the weak parts of the s2? or is it?does the processor in the s2 get blown away by this "snapdragon?"
I'm looking to expand storage to 32Gb on a couple of the more ageing budget phones and am wondering what rated-speed cards are actually worth putting in the phone - i.e. what kind of sustained write can e.g. the C5-00 or E5-00 maintain? Since I'll very likely be only using the card I'll buy with only these phones it doesn't really make sense to buy a Class 10 if e.g. a Class 2 is the only speed these handsets can sustain to the SD slot. Also if Class 4 or worse is all these can manage then I'll probably invest in 16Gb instead (simply for the reason that it'll just take an unreasonable time to re-fill that 32Gb) - so it's a fairly important question.
Forums all over the web and in here at motorola web are filled with issues faced by customers after upgrading atrix to gingerbread 2.3.4 & I am wondering now is it worth asking for upgrade/upgrading/updating to gingerbread really.? My personal experience with Atrix on froyo 2.2.2 with lapdock is not bad i.e. battery is good, network & wifi is good, movies playing in wide screen mode.So I am asking what the benifits of updating/upgrading to gingerbread are actually. I only know one i.e. I tried to download Asphalt6 for atrix and it mentioned I need 2.3.4 to run this HD game(but then i came to know that it is not released for Tegra2 processor yet).
