IPhone 5 :: Sleep / Wake Button Replacement Program Eligibility?
Sep 5, 2014I have had issues with my sleep/wake button and as my phone was eligible under the program I requested the apple store (India-Bangalore) to replace my phone. Firstly this is not the first time I have faced this problem i.e. I have already replaced my iphone once which also had the sleep button problem. After diagnosis the technician did agree that the sleep button did not work at times, but as the phone was not covered under warranty, I have to pay to get my phone replaced. The reason given for paid replacement given was because of dents to the exterior. However, the major dent is only at the bottom of the phone and not near the sleep/wake button.

Mar 5, 2010There is some news flying around about a possible hardware replacement, or recall for storm 2's with the know dead and mulitple click issues.

Its just for verizon, but I am wondering if anyone else has heard about this?, Also I am wanting to find out if this will be strictly through the carrier, becuase I have a unlocked vodafone I use in canada, hopefully I can go direct to RIM.
IPhone :: After Battery Replacement, Will Not Turn On?
Mar 13, 2010I replaced the battery in my 16gb 3g and in the process of doing so broke the ring in the wifi cable where it is screwed to the housing after assembling everything, checking, double checking. iPhone will not turn on at all. At first I got a little red line showing a dead battery when I plugged it in, but I couldn't get it to turn on (pushed power and home button together, tried dfu etc etc). Opened it again to double check other cable connections, now it doesn't even show this red battery line anymore.
Does this cable just affect the antenna or could it have disrupted the whole iPhone from turning on?

Jan 25, 2010My sister has a jailbroken iphone 2g on 3.0 firmware. We purchased the iphone when it first launched a few years ago. As of now, her phone's battery drains out very rapidly, even though she charged it for over a night. I am pretty sure the cause of the problem is from the old battery. My question is: is it worth the money and risk to change the battery, or should we just consider purchasing her a new iphone 3gs? Oh by the way, we live in China.

Apr 8, 2010It looks like my wife's 1 year old 3G iPhone's battery is toast - not holding a charge, and running out of juice extremely quickly.
Anyways as far as I can tell it will cost me 80 bucks - is that accurate?
Also is this something the apple store geniuses can do? Finally what's the general turn around time?
This is why I HATE non replaceable batteries. worst case, my wife will be w/o a phone for a period of time, perhaps one or two weeks.
If the geniuses can do it in short order that will be the best case scenario.

Jun 11, 2012I am getting a bootloader 03.14 battery low error when I try and charge my watch.
I was using my watch as a timepiece and the battery ran out, that evening I tried to charge it using the mains adapter but a warning flashed up saying 'Bootloader 03.14 battery low cannot program'
When I try and charge it through the computers usb then only the white light near the usb turns on. this then goes off after a few minutes.
I have read that someone else had a similar error that they thought was something to do with water damage but this is not the case with my watch as it happened on a dry sunny day.
I have tried leaving it plugged in for 1hr to charge, still no luck. The only thing that happens is that the watch becomes hot.
There is no other sign of life to the watch apart from the error message and/or the white usb light.

Apr 19, 2012My MOTOACTV is acting very oddly. When I plug it into my PC the charge light comes on but will not connect to MOTOCAST and no icon pops up to say that it is plugged in. I do not currently have my initial charger but when I was on with support they asked me to plug it into my LG phone adapter. When I did this my MOTOACTV turned on, and said it was charging. However the display quickly went from 5% to 20% to 60% to 100% and then the light turns off and it doesn't start charging. When I plug it in via the other charger and hold all the other buttons it starts the Bootloader which says "Battery Low Cannot Program". Mar 3, 2010Just over a week ago my Storm 1 began giving me problems. Basically died. Started to do an insurance claim but went to the store first. They said, we'll just do an insurance replacement overnight. Ok, received the replacement the next day. Activated it with no problems, went to charge it and it would not charge. (This was the old battery from the first phone since one was not sent with the replacement.) Plugged into USB on computer, went haywire. Took it back to store where they took an hour to reload the software. Took phone back home, did the exact same thing. I went back to the store, where they gave me a new charger. Went back home, then 2 days ago, the battery will not charge at all. Went back to Verizon, ended up having to buy a new battery. Charged it fully.
Clarification: It was at 30% charge when I left the store with the new battery. Charged at work during the day up to about 75%. When I got home I put it on the home charger for at least 4 hours. It never got above 85% full. This morning down to 70%, and now after charging for 2.5 hours, still won't go over 70% charged. What the heck! All I want is a phone that works! What can I do at this point? After replacing phone, charger AND battery! Heck, I'd be happy to just get another phone. Like maybe an 8530. I wonder if that's possible or would I have to get another Storm 1? What should I do at this point? Call CS? Go back to store?

Jan 24, 2010Just got my S2 replacement and upgraded to .428 before I even did the swap devices with the DM, and now this phone is set up just like my last one with all the same apps and it is absolutely killing the battery. I dont know what it could be, I have went through and checked the obvious to make sure it was all good( brightness, 1XEV only, no apps running in the background or updating, wifi off etc). I've lost 10% in less than 20 mins after a full charge. Maybe delete all the apps and reload them one by one again?

The rep on the phone told me that they're out of stock of 3GS phones, but my replacement would be shipped whenever they receive more.
