i dropped my Iphone 4, 2 weeks after i bought it, it accidentally got knocked out my hands. The back is completely shattered, and the front has 3 small cracks. As i am still under the year warrantee will apple fix it for free?

took my shiny new n900 out of my pocket only to discover the lcd is cracked. I have spoken to vodafone who say it can be repaired under warranty free of charge. do you think this is correct ?.I was not sure if accidental damage is covered. Dont want to be landed with a big bill if they repair it outside of warranty. i was only sat in a chair when lcd cracked, not dropped or fell on, i thought it was a bit tougher that this.

Haveing seen the explosion of threds about the iphone signal problem I cant help notice the amount of people willing to apcept a free bumper! are people out there heads?
Its a flaw at the end of the day and if apple admit to it will people find it that hard to give up there phone and apcept a free bumper? do we get free screws with the next purchase?

How many of you have had to have your iphone worked on? I bought the iphone a couple of years ago, and found the technical support here was much better. I was told my an apple sales person tell me that if I lost my iphone, applecare would allow me to buy another one at $199. Since we just signed up for the 2 year contract with ATT, if we lost the phone, it would be full price. I know apple care doesn't cover water damage or cracked screen. Is there a deductible when it is sent it? I did call apple and no one seemed to know the details. I had gotten talked in to buying the Best Buy black tie protection plan, but I just couldn't handle the thought of $14.99 for two years.

(I do not have my purchase docs with me to look at.) I have cracked my screen completely and wandered how much it would cost for Apple to fix it. I do have insurance with my Orange contract the excess is £50 but as I only recently purchased the insurance it will take a week to process, alternatively a local company replaces the glass and screen for £45.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI never had the battery drain problem with my iPhone 4S but recently over the past month at least my battery seems to have degraded abnormally quickly, not the battery drain some had, but as in its simply not holding as much charge anymore & I got it on Oct 26, 2011.. if anything I would guess its abound 82% of its total capacity ALREADY & going by Apple's battery tips on their site it should be at 80% total capacity after 400 charge/discharge cycles, im lucky to have gone past 140 of those at best (was trying to count then lost the count). I have always followed proper battery care tips, the once a month full charge/discharge, dont let it get hot, leave out of sun etc. I still have the regular warrenty till Oct 26, 2012, would Apple replace my battery for no charge? If so I would want to do this soon before the warrenty is up.. This is concerning after just over 6 months my battery has less capacity than my 3GS did after 1 year of use.. & im a light/moderate user.

next week I get my new (first) iPhone from Vodafone (Germany). An iPhone 4S, and as all know, the display is very critical. My old phone, fell very often down, but it was an HTC desire and so nothing happen. But I think, with a iPhone 4S I have not so much luck. That the reason, why I think about Apple Care. Is there a Coverage for broken displays? Or do I need Apple Care+? If I need Apple Care+, is this available for germany? Because I don't see it at the german page. I think I can buy it, but accept the apple care+ me from germany? And second question. Do I need the Apple Care for the first year of my iPhone? Because it's free for the first year if I understand it right, and then can buy it for the second year? Or do I understand it wrong? If this it right, again: are broken display covered for the first free/included year?

Luckily, the mounted case took some damage, and only the front screen is cracked all over (pretty much all gone at the top, however the display is fine, therefore i believe the LCD would not be replacing). It isn't under warranty any more, i don't have any sort of cover, so i was wondering what the one off charge would be from apple to get the front glass replaced?

So as I was downloading a new theme for my jailbroken phone it froze. So I reset the phone and now its stuck on apple logo and doesn't change. periodically it will give me a white spiral on the bottom of the apple logo but that is it. When i try to update a free App i keep getting message box that Apple ID has been disabled. I have changed my password twice and when i view my apple id from the app store it accepts my new password but i still get the id disabled message when trying to update. When the supervisor answered he asked me in detail how it happens. He got me to do it while I was on the phone with him. He said the reason for this is that he has to forward all the details to the engineering department.
He then said that even though it's a hardware issue, the engineering department are working on a software fix for next week.He said in the mean time he will send me a free bumper. Are screen scratches covered under warranty. I've never used anything other than the stylus, it lives it's life in soft case, yet the screen is covered in scratches..especially where the scroll bars would appear.This is my 3rd phone.. the other 2 didn't scratch like this one has.
