Interested to see what the feeling is of people who will actually take Apple up on its offer, as someone who really doesn't experience the problem and have not had any dropped calls, etc, due to the "problem", and has already accumulated several cases ($.99 silicone cases from Ebay FTW), I really don't see the need to take apple up on its offer. Thoughts/Disagreements/Cheap shots?
Is anyone actually going to use their free case or are you going to list it on eBay as soon as you get it and use the money to get a REAL case whenever Contour decides to make their freaking Showcase case for the IP4?
I am setting up a new att line for this phone. Will i be able to have my discount applied at the apple store, or will i have to buy my phone then go get my discount applied at a att store?
Also, since i am setting up a new line of service is there anything i can do now to make it easier for me come the 24th?
Haveing seen the explosion of threds about the iphone signal problem I cant help notice the amount of people willing to apcept a free bumper! are people out there heads?
Its a flaw at the end of the day and if apple admit to it will people find it that hard to give up there phone and apcept a free bumper? do we get free screws with the next purchase?
Does anyone have a nokia phone from years back with expess on covers? think the its the 3210 i had I lost the back and if you caught the little metal strip antenna with your hand it killed the signal and droped the call!
Is this whats happening here? It seems the more I read the threds this could be happening with the iphone 4!?
I've been around since the first IPhone release and apple has never announced a specific case for the 2G, 3G or 3GS. But now with the new IPhone 4 they release a bumper, not really a case. And notice the bumper only surrounds the metal band and thats about the only protection you get? They probably knew about the signal loss during late stages of mass production I'm guessing. This is just interesting to me and speculation.
Will Apple have some sort of registration thing on their website next week where you sign up for one and they send it to you like they did with the power adapters a couple years back? Will I have to go to an Apple Store for it? Or can I just go to the Best Buy I got my phone at and pick one up?
When i try to update a free App i keep getting message box that Apple ID has been disabled. I have changed my password twice and when i view my apple id from the app store it accepts my new password but i still get the id disabled message when trying to update. Allso now when i try to log onto Safari it only goes to the i forgot log in screen to change my password. I changed the password and still dosen't work?
i dropped my Iphone 4, 2 weeks after i bought it, it accidentally got knocked out my hands. The back is completely shattered, and the front has 3 small cracks. As i am still under the year warrantee will apple fix it for free?
I broke the top of my iphones screen when i droped it about a foot down on concrete. I aslo saw that people said that you could go to a apple store and get it fixed for free? Is this true or what are some places where u can fix it cheap?
My apple id used to be connected with visa debit card, now the card isn't active anymore since I stopped funding it. I cannot download free apps using my apple id because it keeps on telling me that I should update payment method. I don't use any credit card anymore. There is no "NONE" option in the payment methods. What do I do now? i only want to get free apps and retain my current apple id bec i need it for updates.
I phoned apple care, told them I had the antenna issue. He said he has to transfer me to his supervisor if it's about that. When the supervisor answered he asked me in detail how it happens. He got me to do it while I was on the phone with him. He said the reason for this is that he has to forward all the details to the engineering department.
He then said that even though it's a hardware issue, the engineering department are working on a software fix for next week.He said in the mean time he will send me a free bumper. However, he then said I might get the software fix before I receive the bumper, Monday prehaps?Apple are on top of this, even though jobs thinks its not an issue- it's clearly become one.
Why is Apple requiring my date of birth in order to download free apps to my iPhone?Apparently this is a recent change in their policy.Who came up with this stupid idea?Obviously Apple just wants to uee my DOB for marketing purposes (or even worse to sell it to other companies). If I would have known that Apple would require my personal information I would have gotten an Android phone instead.
After recently buying a new Milestone outright I'm looking to protect the hell out of it. I currently have purchased a hard case for the phone itself (seidio innocase) as well as a screen protector. Now the next thing that I am looking for is a good Vertical case/pouch.The thing is that it must be vertical and it must be open at the top (I don't want a cover at all.I want to be able to slide the phone in and out easily). I also must have a belt clip on it.I have found a few online, but for what reviews that I have read stated that they are hard to get the phone in and out of when the phone is naked (no case on it). Since I am planning to have the phone in a hard case at all times that particular case will not work for me. I have seen the pDair case and it looks good, but $28 USD plus shipping (to Canada) I want to make sure that the phone (in a hard case) will fit in it. I havn’t found any reviews on it as of yet either.I know that the iphone & Nexus One are about the same size as the Milestone and wonder if anyone has tried any of those cases with success? As I am sure (especially for the iphone) that there is a wider selection of cases available.
Everytime I sync my iPhone 4S with iTunes (10.6.1) on my Mac (Lion 10.7.3), iTunes asks me the following question when the sync is complete: You have changed the settings for the iPhone "Girish's iPhone". Would you like to apply these changes?
After this, nothing happens regardless of whether I click on 'Apply' or 'Don't Apply'. Is this a bug? Or am I using iTunes wrongly?
I m using unlocked iphone 4 bought in last july at USA having the default ios. Now, i m downloading iOS 5.1.1 updates to my PC from Apple server. How i can apply those downloaded updates of iOS 5.1.1 to my iphone 4?
I just finished updating my Iphone 4's firmware to iOS 5.1. I have all of my text messages, notes, contacts, and mail restored, but none of my music, videos, or any of my downloaded apps have been restored. I tried to manually restore them but the last backup didn't save music, videos, or apps only the texts, notes, and contacts. After checking and unchecking the sync apps, etc. box in itunes under my phone, itunes will update the amount of memory used on my iphone, but it doesn't actually sync anything. I have tried to manually manage my music and vice versa but still nothing.
Also, I cannot sync through wi-fi because even though the box is checked for it on iTunes, my phone is not recognizing. My main problem is that the apply button for my changed options on iTunes is NOT working aka greyed out. I don't want to call Apple support and pay a ridiculous amount for a problem that's probably easily fixed or restore my phone again. Also, I have tried restarting my phone, itunes, and my computer various times. I am running the latest version of iTunes, ios firmware, and I have a pc.
I have applications for channel abc and nbc on my iphone and i watch shows there, Just wandering if i can airplay those on my apple tv? I tried but didn't work
I requested my carrier to unlock my phone months ago which they said they did.I haven't had a chance to sync yet as I am travelling and was unwilling to lose my music etc... Now I have all my music off my iPhone ios 5.0.1 and when I sync to iTunes it doesn't do much. It only does 3 step and doesn't sync my media from the local comouter but leaves my iPhone as it was. And the unlock still isn't applied.
I'm new to Android having just received my Desire S along with a pack of HTC sp p530 protectors.Being a clumsy sort I hesitate to do the fiddly but presumably necessary job anyway, but having looked at the instructions,Which way is up - the cut out end or other end? Unlike the "how to apply an HTC protector" video, does this part only have one layer to peel off and thus only one tab? Should I apply it or risk my screen? If I do apply and it gets scratched etc or, more likely, I cock it up, how do I remove it and clean the screen?
