I broke the top of my iphones screen when i droped it about a foot down on concrete. I aslo saw that people said that you could go to a apple store and get it fixed for free? Is this true or what are some places where u can fix it cheap?

Haveing seen the explosion of threds about the iphone signal problem I cant help notice the amount of people willing to apcept a free bumper! are people out there heads?
Its a flaw at the end of the day and if apple admit to it will people find it that hard to give up there phone and apcept a free bumper? do we get free screws with the next purchase?

My 3G has a firmware problem (error 28) and apple has offered to replace it for $200 (no contract). Since they are discontinuing support for everything 3g and older, will they still have a 3G to replace it with? Reconditioned unit maybe? Or will I get lucky and get a newer 3GS or 4G?

I have an iphone 3gs and still have warranty on it. I don't talk on it much at all. I use the internet and text and listen to music. the most i use the internet is about 30-35minutes a day, sometimes less. I have everything turned off like Bluetooth and fetch data and even 3g. I can go probably 6 hours and do nothing to loose all of my battery. I literally watched my phone go from 90 to 79 in 30 min. just listening to music.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI never had the battery drain problem with my iPhone 4S but recently over the past month at least my battery seems to have degraded abnormally quickly, not the battery drain some had, but as in its simply not holding as much charge anymore & I got it on Oct 26, 2011.. if anything I would guess its abound 82% of its total capacity ALREADY & going by Apple's battery tips on their site it should be at 80% total capacity after 400 charge/discharge cycles, im lucky to have gone past 140 of those at best (was trying to count then lost the count). I have always followed proper battery care tips, the once a month full charge/discharge, dont let it get hot, leave out of sun etc. I still have the regular warrenty till Oct 26, 2012, would Apple replace my battery for no charge? If so I would want to do this soon before the warrenty is up.. This is concerning after just over 6 months my battery has less capacity than my 3GS did after 1 year of use.. & im a light/moderate user.

The wireless internet speeds on my 32GB iPhone 3GS are painfully slow.I have an Airport Extreme router and my MacBook Pro and iPad are both great. Here are averages from 10x Speedtest.net (or their app) runs:
MacBook Pro: 15 Mbps down, 1 Mbps up, 70ms Ping
iPad: 14 Mbps down, 1 Mbps up, 90ms Ping
iPhone 3GS: 3 Mbps down, 0.5 Mbps up, 600-700ms Ping
When I ran the speed tests, each device was the only one operating on the wireless network at the time. I also tried 2 other speedtest apps on my iPhone and they produced similar results.Do you think Apple will replace my iPhone, or will they just tell me it's operating normally and to deal with it?

Honestly I've never been so disappointed about a product. When I go to crop a picture, the screen goes black, gets really hot, and then shuts off.
So tonight I go to crop a picture, keeping in mind only some pictures don't crop, and the phone does its thing, shuts off, and.. Cracks.

I cracked my 3G screen last week. It was my first time dropping since buying it on day one. I had it in my lap (which i normally never do) while driving and it fell flat on its face when i was getting out. I've already ordered a replacement glass and digitizer since the phone still works perfectly. My problem is that I can now see dust specks accumulating under the glass. My iPhone 5 screen has been cracked for a few weeks but worked fine. Yesterday the screen went black but Siri still worked. When I plugged it in to charge, it started beeping as if i were constantly unplugging it then plugging it back in. At first the screen would light up even though it was black but now the screen wont light up at all. I ordered a new screen to replace it but now I am thinking that it is more than the screen. Ok. So my lock button stopped working on my iPhone 4 yesterday. It was 'sticky' (not clicking very well) for a few hours now it ceases to even work.
I also have a cracked screen (which occured 3 months ago now) that I tried to get replaced. Unfortunately they weren't happy that day or something and didn't grant me the one time free replacement that they seem to be giving out everywhere else. Anyway, so I decided not to pay the $180 because the crack isn't too big and it doesn't stretch too far onto the actual LCD screen.
So my question is... If I go to the Apple store regarding the lock button, will they deny me a free replacement because the screen is cracked and they will just pin the blame on that? I am still within the one year warranty too.
Also, for future reference, does a cracked screen void the free warranty replacement for any problems encountered, whether it be hardware, software or mechanically related?

I have the Iphone 4s, my screen has been cracked since 2 months after i got it in November 2011, 3 days ago my lock button started acting funny, now it is completely stuck. I went to apple store today and they will NOT replace it because the screen is cracked and the damage could have affected the button. How could all of a sudden a cracked screen make a button stuck completely? I have read alot of reviews about how some apple techs will replace your phone, and others make you pay the 200$ to get a new one. Why should i have to pay 200$ for something that is apples error? The screen crack isn't even bad?
