I'm the "Proud" owner of an N97 that's from the batch with Camera Lens Cover problems.I've bought it from HONG KONG and now, in Romania I want to fix it using my warranty, but I CAN'T, even if it's NOKIA'S FAULT MY CAMERA DOESN'T WORK. I have to pay 50 Euros for a Nokia service to change my cover.WHAT IS THE INTERNATIONAL WARRANTY IF I CAN'T USE IT INTERNATIONALLY ?

View 2 Replies View RelatedPosting on behalf of my brother who got a nokia 6303 with vodafone uk in november 2009.He previously has had a nokia 6300 phone with o2.
He has had trouble sending texts to US from UK (the texts are not getting to US person). Tried several things that vodafone have suggested and nothing has worked - today he is out to collect a new sim card from them. And if that fails, its a problem with phone.
I have tried to do an update to the firmware (vodafone suggested trying) but the version on the phone is 8.* something and nokia pc suite (OVI suite and nokia updater) software all say its the latest one available so no update possible.
I have googled to see some pages mentioning version 10.10 for nokia 6303 - if that exists, its not updating the phone when I try.
So really have no idea why international texting is not working with this phone. The o2 sim was also tried in the phone and it too failed to send the international text even the sim works and sends texts ok in other phones.
My screen clicking is gettting worse and worse and the phone itself is just slow. I tried all the remedies that you guys have posted here but its still pretty bad. I have absolutely no applications(besides quickpull) and its always slow.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI sent by N8 to a Nokia care point in October 2012 as the bottom piece that enters the battery compartment had broken in one corner and thought I'd better get it fixed before the warranty expired in November 2012. When it was returned I checked it turned on and reloaded some of the software, however I then requested an unlock code from orange UK and that was the end of that as I had already made my sim into a mini sim for my new Nokia 808. Although I have just received an unlock code from orange (another story altogether) however when I turned my phone on the battery was nearly depleted.When trying to charge it with the mini jack, the battery icon doesn't change to indicate it is charging, I have tried many different Nokia chargers with the mini jack and it does nothing. When I plug it into my laptop it recognizes it as a Nokia N8 and connects to Nokia suite OK, it then tries to charge showing the nokia logo, and dot sequence but then disappears and stops charging. I have also tried starting the charge on my 808 pureview USB charger and then plugging the charger back into the N8 to the same effect as plugging it into the laptop.

We want to be able to call and possibly text each other. We do not need any other data access at all.I know "data roaming" needs to be turned off. What about "cellular data"? On or off? What's the difference does it make if "cellular data" is on or off if "data roaming" remains off? Will I be able to send iMessages through a wi-fi connection with "cellular data" off? Will I be able to send regular text messages through a wi-fi connection with "cellular data" off? Will I be able to connect to the internet through a wi-fi connection with "cellular data" off? And none of the settings "enable 3G," "cellular data," or "data roaming" have any effect on voice calls, right?

Yestrday when i swtchd on my mobile nd i was shockd to see the inner screen cracked !!it niether fell nor hit anywhere hard.. but usualy i cary it in my jeans front pocket..no idea y such a small pressure caused it to crack. the front layer is fine...u wont notice the crack until the mobile is swtchd on..
all other functions r workin absltly fine...excpt fr the screenmy phone is still undr waranty, will this be included in the waranty...if not how much will it cost for rplacing the screen?
Are screen scratches covered under warranty. I've never used anything other than the stylus, it lives it's life in soft case, yet the screen is covered in scratches..especially where the scroll bars would appear.This is my 3rd phone.. the other 2 didn't scratch like this one has.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI bought my nokia 5233 sometime in january it worked fine until april or so, it would switch off automatically.At first I disregarded it thinking that i would have pressed the power button by mistake.Since two days this phenomenon is happening atleast about 7-8 times.I wouldn't like to take my phone to the Nokia care yet coz here in my country the Nokia care guys try to fleece you saying something has gone wrong which is not covered by warranty.Would any of you guys help me in diagnosing the problem so that I can fix it myself before I take it to nokia care?

It wasn't even getting switched on. So i charged it and after 1 minute it did switch on so i thought it was a battery problem but when i tried to call it switched off again. Now tomorrow I will go to Nokia Care but the problem is that my father had got the phone for me from Spain in September the time when it wasn't even launched here. Say I were to buy an iPhone 4 for full price from Telus (my local, Canadian provider), could I use this phone internationally, say in Britain on a different network? Not just through roaming, but through sim card swap so I wouldnt be going through Telus whatsoever.
My husband is in China and we got a small int'l texting plan (AT&T) to use while he's there, but he's unable to send or receive texts. He gets the red exclamation point when he tries. Data roaming is turned off and so is cellular data. It's an iPhone 4.

I just got an iPhone 4S on Saturday, so forgive me if this is a n00b question. How much would it cost, if anything, to make an international call with Facetime? I live in the US and a friend of mine lives in the UK. We both have iPhones and we can text with iMessage, but I wasn't sure if it'd also be free to use Facetime to do it as well.

Earlier on this morning at some point my screen began to malfunction appearing if it has been cracked. The phone was placed in my pocket and during some point after class and walking to halls this happened. The only other thing in my pocket was £1.50 in change (£1.00 and £0.50) and a plastic card key. I have absolutly no Idea how this has happened. I didn't fall, get mugged, get hit by anything, I just walked back to halls. Has this happened to anyone else and will my warranty cover it?Also will I be able to get all the data from it onto my computer?
