Is there any procedure through which i can literally download OVI apps & stuffs directly to my Nokia 5230 using my PC Internet via USB Connection. Nokia 5230 doesn't have WiFi connectivity unlike Nokia 5800. So each time i need to download them through the GPRS which has premium charges for each download.

this is strange question, but since 5230 do not have wi fi is they any software which can turn wi fi on for 5230?and how can i use my broadband internet through my computer by usb cable in nokia 5230, so that i dont have to buy any internet package from my mobile company?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought a Nokia 5230 for my wife a few days ago (neither of us know a great deal about mobile phones) and whenever the phone is on, it seems to connect to the Internet, which uses up all our talk time (we don't yet have a contract with a phone company).We have tried all the settings to keep the Internet disconnected, but it still seems to be happening? This is really infuriating!

Vodafone don't sell them online and as I haven't full mobility, it's hard for me to source one. My husband bought a micro usb data cable for me, but it was too big for my phone. There is no specific information about which data cable I need (is the a code for this cable?) in the handbook that came with the phone.

My phone is completely working and a SIM card is inserted in it and I can call with it, but when I want to install the update then it says that there is no SIM card. I have tried ejecting the SIM card and inserting it again but it didn't work. Do you know anything that would help?And also somewhy I'm unable to install anything into the phone by USB cable.

View 1 Replies View Relatedmy PC was able to connect to the internet with my 5800 via a USB cable. Now, I can no longer connect to the internet with the 5800 via a USB cable. I had never tried connecting the computer to the internet with the 5800 via Bluetooth prior to this incident, so I tried that. Strangely, it works. My question is how come I can no longer use the 5800 via USB as a modem, but how come the 5800 via Bluetooth still works as a working modem? Sorry, if my sentences are confusing. I have a terrible headache at the moment. While the Bluetooth connection works, I just feel better using the USB connection and knowing that my 5800 has a clean bill of health. BTW, my PC is on Windows 7 Professional at the moment. I've tried uninstalling the Ovi Suite and reinstalling it, but that didn't work. I've also tried using PC suite instead of the Ovi Suite but that didn't work either. What other options do I have, beside hard resetting the phone? Edit: BTW, the message shown when I tried to connect to the internet with the 5800 USB modem was "failed to establish a network connection".
